Hegseth Orders Special Panel to Examine Afghanistan Withdrawal

The review’s results led Hegseth to conclude that the department must “conduct a comprehensive review to ensure that accountability for this event is met and that the complete picture is provided to the American people.”
“To meet this imperative, I am directing the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs (ATSD-PA) and Senior Advisor, Sean Parnell to convene a Special Review Panel (SRP) for the Department who will thoroughly examine previous investigations, to include but not limited to, findings of fact, sources, witnesses, and analyze the decision making that led to one of America’s darkest and deadliest international moments,” wrote Hegseth.

Wouldn’t it be great to finally hold the top brass and politicians directly responsible for the deaths of service members that their idiotic decisions have caused? Now lets also start looking at ROE’s and why we feel the need to hamstring our military. We spent trillions to be the most dominant fighting force in the world, Take the kid gloves off and show the world what we can really do. I think it quite likely that Abbey Gate actually reflected the thought process (sic) and directions of Biden himself, fixated on a result before the 20th anniversary of 9/11. After that disaster, the politburo ensured he was shunted aside from any decision of consequence.
We can start with the military leaders in charge of it. Although they are responsible for carrying out the commands of their civilian leaders it is their duty to point out the flaws and ultimately refuse and resign if the orders are reckless.

The Major General (now Lt Gen) who commanded the last forces (82 or 101) leaving Afghanistan needs to be investigated too. Reportedly he left people behind so he could transport a war trophy (some kind of vehicle),
