The Fed goes on leading indicators of inflation, not inflation itself. Leading indicators themselves are dependent on inflation as a matter of history and regression, so inflation’s not out of the loop.

The whole Democratic Party has become a criminal syndicate. As for the GOP, they have served as enablers. A big chunk of the GOP hates Trump. My estimate runs from at 20% to 80%. Notice how the Democrats get all their members to vote as one big block with almost no exceptions. Compare and contrast to the GOP where some Republicans vote against their own party when it comes to confirmations. In one sense the Republicans are worse: a traitor is worse than an enemy. For a long time no Republican would discuss immigration. It was a forbidden subject until Trump came along. Tom Tancredo was a possible exception, but he lacked the courage to bring up the subject at a national debate. He just wimped out.

So where to we go from here? Trump is getting blocked at every turn from a rogue judge and SCOTUS refuses to help. Eventually Trump will have to defy the courts. Meanwhile the Democrats hope the economy goes south so they can take back control of Congress in 2026. Look for them to create more and more chaos. We are in a real turning point in history.
