Zeldin Canceling 400 DEI, Environmental Justice Grants Totaling $1.7 Billion

“Working hand-in-hand with DOGE to rein in wasteful federal spending, EPA has saved more than $2 billion in taxpayer money.”

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that the agency and DOGE canceled 400 more DEI and environmental justice grants, totaling $1.7 billion, in the fourth round of cuts.

Zeldin has eliminated $2 billion in waste total since taking over the EPA.

“Working hand-in-hand with DOGE to rein in wasteful federal spending, EPA has saved more than $2 billion in taxpayer money,” said EPA Administrator Zeldin. “It is our commitment at EPA to be exceptional stewards of tax dollars.”

DOGE confirmed this round of cuts “included $3.2M to a consulting firm to ‘develop a reporting system to collect data on Justice40, the EJ scorecard, and other EJECR reporting asks.'”

Leslie wrote about Zeldin’s plans when he became administrator, which included cutting waste and firing employees.

Then Leslie wrote about The New York Post’s expose on the EPA’s $375 billion slush fund, which John Podesta handled.

Yeah, money from that slush fund went to brand new charities. Totes not suspicious!

Even better let’s go back to.the last Clinton era budget, adjust for inflation, and use it as the top line limit on Federal spending. Interest payments would really pinch though due to total increase from $5 and a 1/2 Trillion just 25 years ago to $37 Trillion today.

If your numbers are correct, that is a compound annual rate of increase of 7,9%. Over the last 25 years the same rate for the CPI is 2.6% – so triple the rate of CPI increase.

A $1.7B expense requires all of the year’s taxes from 85,000 taxpayers (~$20K taxes paid for the average taxpayer). How would you feel as one of those taxpayers, knowing that you worked all year to pay for that mess. This, of course, is repeated across the entire government.

I’ll tell you what I needed. I needed to be dishonest enough to start a NGO, install myself as the sole administrator, grab a few million or billion from Biden and give myself a salary of $1 million a year. Hell, it looks like everyone else did it.

DOGE being the exception, of course.

Wait a sec…the Executive branch can do this without judicial review and approval? Who knew? Next thing they’ll say there are three separate branches of gov’t and start talking nonsense like “separation of powers.”

Do any of these grants rise to the level of being payoffs, and would that be prosecutable? Just asking.

Pay backs. I read that many many of the contracts over seas are going to Soros owned enterprises as DEI sort of set ups, when in reality he’s been taking the money and giving back to dem candidates and to run primaries for left wing judges, many now working in DC and elsewhere. Thus, he wasnt using his own money he was using our money to support dems.

This is great, but it would be thrilling to see all the people involve sitting in jail, just like J6, while they figure out what to charge them with.

If it could be shown that the money received by the NGO’s was then funneled back to the Biden Administration and Dems in Congress which I’m sure it was then maybe. Otherwise, it’s not illegal to form a NGO and get grants from the government as long as it does what it says it will do when applying for the money.

I could wet my depends when I read this but dont wear them just yet but if I did……………..
Like many I’m astounded by the corruption and waste Musk has unfurled. No wonder the left is going nuts and doing the anti Musk routine he is cancelling a lot of their little slush funds that keep giving back during election season./

Are any of these grants not payoffs? Just asking.
