Masked Anti-Israel Protesters Take Over Barnard College Library, NYPD Makes Arrests

Last week, a group of masked protesters took over a building at Barnard College, the sister school of Columbia University, because they were angry about the expulsion of two students for similar behavior.
This week, another mob took over the library at Barnard. The NYPD got involved after a bomb threat was called in to the school.

The New York Police Department took multiple protesters into custody at Barnard College late Wednesday when the occupation of the school library to protest the expulsion of three students who expressed anti-Israel views was broken up over a bomb threat.
On Wednesday evening, the NYPD was called to the Milstein Center on the prestigious campus after a bomb threat and hours of anti-Israel agitators demonstrating inside the campus building.
“Anyone who refuses to leave the location is subject to arrest,” the NYPD said in an X post. “Please stay away from the area.”
Sources confirmed to Fox News that at least 10 people were arrested. The NYPD declined to provide information on their charges.
In a statement, Columbia University leadership said the campus disruption “is not acceptable conduct.”
“We are aware of a disruption of Milstein Library at Barnard College — a separate institution from Columbia University, although it is affiliated. We are in touch with Barnard’s leadership and security team as they address the situation and will continue to monitor it closely,” the university said in a release Wednesday afternoon.
“The disruption of academic activities is not acceptable conduct. We are committed to supporting our Columbia student body and our campus community during this challenging time.”
The behavior of these students is cultish and creepy.

If the leadership at Columbia doesn’t handle this problem on their own, it will be handled for them.

Trump admin warns Columbia U. could lose funding over antisemitism ‘inaction’
Columbia University is facing more scrutiny from the U.S. government and could lose up to $5 billion federal funding due to its allegedly repeated failures to stop antisemitism on campus.
In a warning letter, first reported Wednesday at The Free Press, the Trump administration told the New York university its federal funding may be revoked due to “potential compliance concerns, false claims or other infractions.”
The university said it is reviewing the federal government’s communications in a statement provided to The College Fix via email Wednesday.
“Columbia is fully committed to combatting antisemitism and all forms of discrimination, and we are resolute that calling for, promoting, or glorifying violence or terror has no place at our University,” the university stated.
It’s way past time for schools to take this threat seriously. What is going to have to happen for it to finally end?

What’s so challenging about it. You arrest every one of those motherfeckers in a keffiyeh and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. And then perhaps others might think twice before committing similar crimes on campus.
Then ban them forever from the college’s premises. If foreign student, send them home.
Quite right. Arrest and expel any student. All foreign students on a visa have the visa revoked and are deported with a permanent ban on entering the US. Everyone else not in these 2 categories are held on domestic terrorism charges.

The first thing the cops should do is publicly remove the dish towels so everyone can see who is perp walked into the back of a cop car. I bet this would decrease the lure of performance protesting quite a bit and help the college know who to ban from campus.

And why are we giving Columbia $5 billion?
Not sure what Bernard has done to bring this up on themselves, but it is time to reverse course. Already the failure of the North East and West Coast colleges to maintain order and civility has caused a large bump of the most qualified students applying to Southern colleges. Univ. of Miami, Georgia Tech, LSU and similar universities are benefiting. Although I have not read any reports of such, it is likely some Midwest schools like Notre Dame are seeing similar admissions.
Barnard thought they were playing with the big guys. Spare me -= they are copying their father/mother institution, Columbia.
As above: arrest, take photos, hold in cell as long as possible; if foreign student, send home;
drop all student $$$ help with all of them – immediately;

(1) Arrest all who did not heed the order to disburse.
(2) Expel any Columbia / Barnard students so arrested.
(3) Immediately deport any foreign national so arrested.
This isn’t difficult. Columbia and Barnard just don’t want to.
Disgusted both with the colleges and the cities they reside in. Stop all federal funding until they make maximum efforts to eliminate the lawlessness.
Arrest them for whatever state crimes are applicable – and for some kinds of federal hate crimes that cover their awful actions, all of which are effectively sanctioned by Barnard and Columbia.. Take the rags off their heads and photo them; determine which of them are aliens on student (or other) visas … and get them out of the USA. Proceed with criminal charges against the rest.
