On Wednesday, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) told the House he intends to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump.
“I rise to announce that I will bring articles of impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done,” Green yelled on the floor.
Dastardly deeds? Were they done dirt cheap on the highway to hell? (Please tell me you guys got that…had fun with it on X yesterday.)
Green claimed “the people have to demand it” because it would have to be a “grass up movement, not top down.”
Well, um, I doubt that will happen. I also doubt these people care what we the people think. They never have so why start now?

I suppose Trump failed to read the Democrat’s memo, which stated that he was allowed to occupy the Oval Office but not permitted to make decisions or do meaningful work. Who would have known that downsizing the federal workforce and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse is careless and considered illegal?

The stupid is also strong in people who underestimate their enemies. Powerful global interests hate Trump. Including the US’s Deep State, which has decades of overthrowing and destabilizing governments. They essentially succeeded during the 2020 election, and nearly kept him from being re-elected in 2024.
Anyone who assumes that those interests aren’t already working to put a spoke in Trump’s wheel now are being quite foolish.

As a Jew I’m embarrassed by Raskin, Schumer, and the rest of the regressive Jews including most if not all members of my family. Islamofascists would never make me hide my identity. Bottom dwellers like Raskin would.

I would like to see the house investigate and eventually impeach, Raskin, Green, Shumer, other members of congress making wild irresponsible statements and inciting violence, and various out of control judges. Even if articles of impeachment are never filed, they need to be held accountable for their statements, actions, and in many cases outright lies. The threat of impeach should go both ways.
Congressmen can’t be impeached.
They can be expelled, by a 2/3 vote of their house.
Congress has for well over a century taken the view that it can only expel someone for an offense committed since the last election. There is a Supreme Court decision that takes official note of the fact that Congress has this view, but does not take a position on it.
