‘Grow Up’: JD Vance Torches Ro Khanna Who Dragged His Kids Into Spat Over DOGE Employee’s Past X Posts

The left has used that against Vance because he said Elon Musk should rehire a DOGE employee who left after people found past racist X posts.

He was silent about the racist comments Congresswoman Crockett makes on a daily basis including just a few days ago on nationwide cable tv. In fact, it’s pretty easy to find a whole lot of racist comments on the left from Maxine Waters to Joy Reid so I think Ro should sit this one out.

You have to follow the links and read the actual posts made. Was he really racist or was he edgeposting? Without context (which the news never gives and the originals are deleted) it’s impossible to tell. It also appears from the news articles that these posts were made just last year, at age 24. I wouldn’t give him the benefit of playing the “kid card.” Although if he had shot somebody instead of insulting them, that’s how the left would have pigeonholed his “gun violence.”
I think your right. I hunted about and found his posts and the comments were rather odd and sounded like he was trolling someone with mockery in reaction to someone else’s comment.
JD stated it very well. We should not be going around “walking on eggshells” particularly when we are growing up. We are human. Joe Biden made a career of making stupid remarks and people managed to slough those off.

The kid did not make a mistake. He made a joke, which at the same time is a reference to how the word ‘racist’ has lost it’s meaning from so much overuse/abuse.

As many of us who are older, realize we would be in trouble if the stupid opinions we held in our twenties were held up to the light and made to answer for. This is a young man who has said something stupid and needs to apologize for it but should be allowed to continue his career. I’m 83 years old and I think of all the things I thought and said that were wrong I live with every day. If I had been accountable for them, my life would have been ruined.

The USDS was an Obamacare office created to make government software better. They were essentially software development for the bureaucracy. Trump renamed the United States Digital Service (USDS) the United States DOGE Service which even kept the acronym the same. Not only did repurposing an appropriate existing department allow Trump to ensure there was funding for DOGE without having to fight with Congress – he also ensured its legality.
