Gaza: Three Israeli Male Hostages Released After 491 Days Captivity

Tortured, emaciated hostages dragged on to a makeshift stage, forced to read out terrorist propaganda.

Hamas on Saturday released Israeli hostages Ohad Ben Ami, 56, Eli Sharabi, 52, and Or Levy, 34, in the fifth batch of the hostages-for-terrorists deal.

“Released hostages Eli Sharabi, Or Levy and Ohad Ben Ami are now in the hands of IDF troops in the Gaza Strip,” The Times of Israel reported citing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). “The three released hostages will be brought out of the Strip to an army facility near the border community of Re’im for an initial checkup.”

The three hostages are to be reunited with their families after 491 days of horrific captivity in which they witnessed torture and murdered of several of their fellow captives at the hands of Hamas terrorists.

Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, kidnapped Ohad Ben and Eli Sharab from their homes in Kibbutz Be’eri. Or Levy was taken hostage at the Nova festival.

Returning hostage Eli Sharabi unaware Hamas murdered his family on Oct. 7

Media reports suggest that returning hostage, Eli Sharabi, may still be unaware that Hamas murdered his family on October 7, 2023.

Eli “was abducted from his home in Be’eri on October 7, the day of the Hamas-led massacre,” the newspaper Israel Hayom noted. “His wife, Lianne, and their two daughters, 13-year-old Yahel and 16-year-old Noya, were murdered.”

“Hamas hostage ‘may not know wife and daughters are dead’,” the BBC reported citing Eli’s close relatives.

Hamas stages depraved hostage release ceremony with Red Cross

Masked Hamas terrorists, dressed in pristine military fatigues (unused as they masqueraded as Gaza civilians in the 15 month-long conflict), staged their customary depraved ceremony while freeing the hostages, signing fake documents with the Red Cross staffers in a bid to feign legitimacy.

Red Cross officials, who merrily chatted with the terrorists on the day of the release, never showed up to inquire about the well-being on the hostages during their 491 days of horrific captivity — many of whom were raped, tortured and murdered by their captors, while survivors were denied proper food and medication.

The tortured and emaciated hostages were dragged on to a makeshift stage and forced to read out terrorist propaganda surrounded by a gang of heavily-armed terrorists before their handover to the Red Cross.

“Three Israeli hostages visibly thin were brought out by Hamas to participate in a ceremony for their release, they were made to make statements calling on Israel to complete all phases of the cease-fire deal,” the Israeli news website YNET reported. “After the three made their statements they were led by armed terrorists to the Red Cross cars waiting to take them and deliver them to the IDF.”

Hamas has so far released 18 Israeli hostages in exchange for 383 Palestinian terrorists since the hostages-for-terrorists deal began on 19 January. The terror group expected 183 terrorists, including murderers and terrorist masterminds, to be returned for the three hostages it freed on Saturday.

Nearly 2000 terrorists are expected to be freed for the return of 33 hostages in the first phases of the three stage deal.  Hamas still holds 69 Israeli hostages, many of them believed to be dead.

The only starvation in Gaza was the starvation of these unfortunate souls. (Semi-quote)

No person that would be called “Human” would do this to any living being. Being forced to recite dogma was the cherry on top of this horrible concoction that no living being should ever be forced into.

Gaza should belong to the Israeli people. Why should Israel have a unimaginable mess, degradation and sub humans to border with?

Sub human is right. Their actions, history, conduct all make it clear that they are unsalvageable. Palestine should be cleared of rubbish so that people who actually have humanity can live peaceful, productive lives.

When will the trash be cleaned out of the West Bank?

Israel is tiny. Arabia is humongous. There are so many places where these Arabs can be placed, but no other Arab nation WANTS these slugs. THAT’S where the problem actually lies.

The actions of the Red Cross is horrific. Why anyone would donate to this den of vipers is beyond me.

Giving credibility to this dog and pony show is heartbreaking.

Truly. But important to remember that the American Red Cross is an independent member & was one of Israel’s few advocates within the International Red Cross during the decades that the IRC blackballed Israel’s emergency medical service for insisting on using the Magen David instead of a Muslim or Christian symbol.
Not the same folks, so keep donating blood at your local blood drive.

The Red Cross crossed the rubicon for me when they gave Elizabeth Dole a 1M bonus when she left them.

The ratio of the prisoner swaps don’t make any sense.

It’s guaranteeing that this is gonna happen all over again

There is one way to balance the exchange ratio, treat terrorists with a dose of radiation high enough that that they are too sick to ever commit another atrocity. keep it low enough that they survive at least a few months. That would be just as epic as exploding pagers. Like the pagers, only the guilty are hurt.

Those prisoner swaps always have insane ratios. Yahya Sinwar, the dead leader of Hamas in Gaza, was released by Israel in 2011 as part of a major prisoner swap deal that involved the release of 1,027 Palestinian and Israeli Arab prisoners in exchange for a single Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. This is why I’m not in favor of them.

I think Israel takes too many terrorists captive. Better they be killed off when caught in the act.

Yes, unless there’s valuable information to be gained from them. Then shoot them afterwards.

Is it true that unlawful combatants can lawfully be killed on sight or executed without trial?

The Arab invaders from Arabia (Fakestinians) are evil reprobates. They are genocidal religious fanatics and the furthest thing from alleged victims, and, all the useful idiot, leftist European dhimmis and American Dhimmi-crats who portray them as such, and, who whitewash, rationalize and enable their belligerence and predations by giving them moral, rhetorical and financial succor, are just as evil as these wretched Islamofascists.

To deal with these animals is an insult to humanity! Think about what we are doing. Letting this scum dictate the rules for releasing the hostages when they are criminals for taking them in the first place. But to swap 30 to one is outrageous and will only encourage future hostages taken. If I had my way I would have given them 24 hours to return ALL of the hostages or I would obliterate Gaza and all of the Hamas-loving animals living there.

This continued abuse of hostages makes me want to do something imprudent to those animals that I might regret in the morning.
