FCC Releases Raw Transcript, Video of Harris’s 60 Minutes Interview

I don’t understand why it was so hard and such a fight to get this from CBS. Sheesh.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr released the raw transcript and video of Kamala Harris’s interview with 60 Minutes, which led to accusations against CBS for allegedly doctoring it.

CBS especially came under fire over the answer regarding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

CBS News did not use a different answer to another question in the broadcast. However, the answer was split between the online clip and the broadcast.

“In reporting the news, journalists regularly edit interviews – for time, space or clarity. In making these edits, 60 Minutes is always guided by the truth and what we believe will be most informative to the viewing public – all while working within the constraints of broadcast television,” CBS News said in a statement.

The original clip:

WHITAKER: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.

HARRIS: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.

What 60 Minutes aired:

WHITAKER: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.

HARRIS: We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.

From the transcript:

VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. And we’re not going to stop doing that. We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.

I’m not going to watch the whole video because I’m too tired and cranky to listen to the cackle and word salads.

I’ve attached the video and the transcript, though.

I have to do a couple of major presentations this week to heavy hitters. My career trajectory is on the line.

I’m viciously going to NOT read any more of this for fear her word salads will get stuck in my head.

“Many have called my speeches word salad, but we all know you can’t make salad out of words. You need vegetables. Or meat. Or fruit. And some dressing, like ranch. But do they even eat ranch dressing on actual ranches? It’s like, when I went to France and I had a salad, and I just asked for dressing, and it wasn’t even French dressing. I mean, I just thought that’s what you got there, but it wasn’t. HAHAHAHA!!!”

The only way this video has any meaning is to show side-by-side actual v edited. Otherwise, it is 53 minutes of Word salad.

She grew up in a middle class neighborhood, where the neighbors were extremely proud of how they edited their lawns.

Except that she did not, being reported as growing up in one of the ritziest suburbs in Canada.

That was only from the age of 12. Before that she grew up in California.

And in Montreal we don’t know where in the Westmount area she lived, just that she went to school there. There are probably some middle class streets within the school catchment area. Maybe. I don’t know Westmount at all.

Westmount is one of the top three richest postal codes in Canada. So to be generous, “middle class” would mean “upper middle class”.

Harris repeatedly referred to growing up in middle class neighborhood. The poster above referred to “some middle class streets within the school catchment area.” Usually, a street does not make a neighborhood. If the poster believes Harris was accurately characterizing her childhood environment, it would be helpful if he posted definitive evidence of the accuracy of Harris’s claim.

i’ll wait for the X highlight film.

How dare they drop that stupid Grenade on us

I don’t want to listen as I have heard her wretched voice enough to last several lifetimes.

So listened to this and yeah unedited Kamala makes literally no sense; and goes no where. So yes all TV is edited by the difference e here is striking as in she can’t give coherent responses without significant help; and that is not the stuff leadership is built on. It shows a lack of clarity of thinking and purpose. Honestly makes me wonder if she has an auditory processing disorder.

“60 Minutes is always guided by the truth and what we believe will be most informative to the viewing public – all while working within the constraints of broadcast television”

Like the story they did just this past December 23, explaining that due to there being only ONE gun store in the entire country of Mexico, located on a military base, which customers have to undergo psych and drug screening even to enter… Mexico has gun control the USA should envy!

For which they got predictably dragged: “There’s “only one gun store” with heavy restrictions for “civilian use” and yet Mexico is one of the most violent countries in the world. What a joke.” (Katie Pavlich)

Bonus: the original article exposting 60 Minute’ brainless propaganda was written by our own Mike LaChance.

That is in effect very very strict gun control.
Which serves, as always, to disarm the law abiding and does nothing to address criminals arming themselves to prey on the law abiding.

At least under Trump we can hope the ATF and US DOJ won’t proactively ship illegal arms into Mexico which are later used to murder Americans. Unlike under the (D)s.

Kamala Harris is a bigger imbecile than we could ever have imagined. Granted. But, what you should really focus on is the obscenely partisan Bill Whitaker. In the very first question, he conveys his disappointment that the duly-elected leader of one of the only democracies in the Middle East is ‘charting his own course’ with respect to the retaliatory war he’s been forced to fight against Hamas. This is driving Whitaker crazy, apparently, and only wants to know what Harris would do as president to stop Prime Minister Netanyahu.

No question, America dodged a bullet. It could not stand the any more of the puppetmaster. It’s such a mess. And so far the tip of the iceberg is all that’s visible.

Looking forward to the discoveries of corruption that will come out, but not to the violent resistance down the road from the likes of the inciters seen yesterday, pretending they are not the danger. They cannot see or hear themselves, but most can. Where is the next wacko they will incite? Time to paint them as the hatemongers of the day!

It’s not raw footage. It’s raw sewage.

Is it all shot from behind her, with Bill in the frame? I want to see her vapid expressions as she tried to explain herself.

Kamala’s Word Salad is the result of crowds throwing rotting vegetables at her.

There is a huge difference between the interview that was aired and the actual interview that took place.

This was outright propoganda with the sole purpose of passing her off as intelligent and coherent, two things we know she is not.

For that blatant propoganda they need to pay a price, about 10bil should sort that out 😂

A $10 billion award would bankrupt CBS/Paramount. They would be forced to give the company to Trump for his sons to run in the end.

I’m not listening to a has been garble and cackle her way through an interview. Why didn’t CBS just say “Yeah, of course we edited it because that is what TV does all the time. Here is the original, you can see how bad it is so we cleaned it up”. They could have put this to rest months ago but instead fought to keep everything secret for no good reason.

    mailman in reply to diver64. | February 6, 2025 at 9:00 am

They couldn’t do that because what they aired was very, VERY different to what they captured. They wanted to project an air of authority about kwaaaamaaaaalaaaa but they couldn’t do that with the raw footage they captured. Hence why they fought this tooth and nail to stop the footage from being aired.

The worst of it is that the left viciously went after James O’Keefe for editing his videos in exactly the same way that all journalists do, even though — unlike all the others — e always posted the raw footage as well, so anyone who wanted to could compare them and see for themselves that the editing was fair.

    tjv1156 in reply to Milhouse. | February 6, 2025 at 7:17 am

exactly. Just about every sound bite you see on the news is edited. It’s been going on since tv was invented. this is just another move by ‘the moron’ to throw red meat to his scarily uninformed cult.

The part of this response, the garbled word salad as well as the cleaned up seemingly coherent, is that it is publicly showing distance between the US position and the Israeli position encouraging Hamas to wait for something better. This illustrates the incompetency of the Biden Harris administration’s foreign policy. Clearly when DJT won, Hamas knew that the gig was up and that better was not coming so they agreed to the deal on the table.
