I’m sure you recall Matthew Lohmeier, the former Space Force Lieutenant Colonel squadron commander who was fired, forced to resign without a pension just before his retirement date, and subjected to a Pentagon Inspector General investigation after publishing his bestselling book, Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military, which tore the lid off the military’s obsession with DEI and racist and radical “woke” ideologies.
As I reported here, Matthew Lohmeier – a Tour de Force Supporting our Military Members, Lohmeier spoke at an event I attended in June 2023 in Scottsdale, Arizona, produced jointly by Stand Together Against Racism and Radicalism in the Services (STARRS) and the Arizona Women of Action (AZWOA).
Lohmeier was dynamite and went into the gory details about the brazen DEI indoctrination inflicted on our service members.

We also recently reported that Lohmeier became the Executive Vice President of STARRS, an excellent move considering Lohmeier’s first-hand familiarity with the destructive nature of the U.S. military’s embrace of all things DEI: Stroke of Genius: Premier “Anti-Woke” Military Watchdog Hires Matt Lohmeier as Executive Vice-President. Lohmeier took over on July 1 of last year.
Most recently, we noted that Matt Lohmeier met President-elect Trump on the campaign trail, and asked Trump to get rid of DEI policies in the U.S. military. Not only did Trump agree, but he also on the spot promised to appoint Lohmeier to a task force dedicated to doing just that: Trump to Appoint Matthew Lohmeier to Task Force Charged With Dismantling DEI in Military:
Well, President-elect Trump just went one better than appointing Matthew Lohmeier to a task force, he has nominated him to become the Under Secretary of the Air Force, which is the #2 position in both the Air Force and Space Force:

President-elect Trump announced Friday that Matthew Lohmeier will serve as the under secretary of the Air Force.“Matt is a former fighter pilot, and Space Force Squadron Commander, who has devoted his life to serving our Great Nation,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “He is a proud graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.”In 2021, Lohmeier was fired from the Space Force, where he served as a lieutenant colonel, after criticizing the U.S. military on a conservative podcast. Lohmeier joined “The Steve Gruber Show” to discuss his book “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military,” which claims that Marxist beliefs have become increasingly common in the military. In the same appearance, he also called The New York Times’s 1619 Project “anti-American.”At the time, the Defense Department said it had lost “trust and confidence” in Lohmeier as the reason for his dismissal. His removal from the role was met with outrage from Republican lawmakers, including former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who called the department’s move “retaliatory.”On Friday, Trump wrote that in his new role, Lohmeier will work to “end the devastating ‘woke’ policies that have destroyed our Military, and make our Country STRONG AGAIN.”Lohmeier will serve alongside Troy Meink, who Trump tapped to lead the Air Force earlier this week. His appointment, as well as Meink’s, will require Senate confirmation.
