Vatican Nativity Scene has Jesus Lying on Keffiyeh Scarf

Inappropriate to place a Jew on a scarf that has become a symbol of those who want to destroy Israel and exterminate Jews.

Pope Francis inaugurated the “Nativity of Bethlehem 2024” inside Paul VI Hall.

Two artists from Bethlehem, which has been under the Palestinian Authority’s control since the Six Days War, designed the scene.

I have no doubt the artists, Johny Andonia and Faten Nastas Mitwasi, are Christians, but there’s something odd about the manger.

Yes, Jesus is lying on a keffiyeh scarf.

The Palestinian keffiyeh has been a symbol of Palestinian nationalism and revolts since the 1930s.

The scarf has become a symbol for those who hate Israel and want to exterminate Jews.

Jesus was a Jew.

Yasser Arafat popularized it in the 1960s.

Leila Khaled, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, also made the keffiyeh scarf well known.

PFLP is a terrorist group, which has sided with Hamas in the latest war.

Oh, who is Khaled? The first woman to hijack an airplane. Yeah, she hijacked TWA Flight 840 in 1969 on its way from Rome to Tel Aviv. She hijacked a plane from Amsterdam to New York City in 1970. The flight originated from Tel Aviv.

Here’s a fascinating interview with the pilot, Uri Bar-Lev, who outmaneuvered her.

My friend Bonchie worded it perfectly. Like him, my problem has always been with the people around Pope Francis. I swear they ousted Pope Benedict and installed Pope Francis.

I agree. The antipope should be viewing our savior swaddled in a black, Che Guevara beret,

“my problem has always been with the people around Pope Francis. I swear they ousted Pope Benedict and installed Pope Francis.”

I am also inclined to believe this

The second coming can’t come fast enough

The next Pooe will be an Iman

Pope… phone

Francis the Red doing commie things again. The Obama of popes

The antisemitic Pope. What a sorry excuse for a moral and spiritual leader. He seems more an atheist than a man of faith, pretending his way is Christian, when it’s the path to needless suffering.

Francis is probably not personally responsible for this particular outrage. But that doesn’t change the fact that his election changed “Is the Pope Catholic” from a rhetorical question to a serious one, and has even caused many people to start questioning everything they thought they knew about ursine excretory habits.

Outhouse is giving the benefit of the doubt to a leftist as usual. It’s not the commie pope’s fault that Muslim terrorism is incorporated into the Nativity scene for the first time ever.

Francis the Red allowed it. Therefore, he’s responsible.

Milhouse in reply to Paddy M. | December 7, 2024 at 8:41 pm

Shut up, you liar. No reasonable person could possibly imagine that Francis is personally responsible for this. And if it happened at the White House (which it easily might) I wouldn’t for a moment imagine that any of the Bidens were personally responsible.

Paddy M in reply to Milhouse. | December 7, 2024 at 8:48 pm

You didn’t refute anything I posted, Outhouse. And WTF does the White House have to do with anything?

Keep making excuses for your lefty pals.

Milhouse in reply to Paddy M. | December 7, 2024 at 11:38 pm

So long as you keep knowingly lying and defaming me you don’t deserve any respect or consideration.

          Paddy M in reply to Paddy M. | December 8, 2024 at 8:02 am

          Lying? Defaming? GTFOH, Outhouse.

          1. The pope is responsible for this obscenity.
          2. You’re excusing it like you normally excuse leftists.
          3. You don’t know if he personally approved it or not. You’re just inferring that he didn’t, and claiming your opinion is correct, which is also what you normally do.

Paddy M in reply to Milhouse. | December 7, 2024 at 9:10 pm

Oh, and your opinion of what is or isn’t reasonable is irrelevant. This isn’t a court case and you’re not a lawyer.

        The pictures speaks for itself.

Your more stupid than I thought if you think the social justice Jesuit had no idea this was going on. He is all in on the latest cause from this nonsense to global warming.

You are not a reasonable person in this instance.

If it happened at the White House I would imagine that Jill (Ed.D) would have knowledge of what the keffiyeh represents (decades of Arab terrorism in an attempt to destroy Jews and the Jewish state) and would approve of it. After all, Jill (Ed.d) is responsible for all aspects of the Christmas decorations at the White House.

If it happens in the Vatican then I would imagine Bergoglio knows exactly what the keffiyeh represents (decades of Arab terrorism in an attempt to destroy Jews and the Jewish state) and approves of the placement of the keffiyeh as Baby Jesus’ blanket. After all, Bergoglio is the head of the Roman Catholic Church and millions of congregants and others will see this Nativity and he’ll have to have answers to why the keffiyeh was placed there for Baby Jesus to lie on.

    Why ursine instead of bovine?
Francis may not have personally approved the display, but as the Pope, the buck stops there.

Milhouse in reply to Tom Orrow. | December 7, 2024 at 11:37 pm

Why ursine instead of bovine?! Are you serious? Or are you not aware of the implications of questioning the Pope’s Catholicism?

Morning Sunshine in reply to Milhouse. | December 8, 2024 at 12:51 am

        Nope, I am not.

In the English language there are two common ways to express that something is completely obvious. If someone asks whether something is true, and you wish to tell them it’s not just true but true without the slightest possible doubt, you can either respond “Is the Pope Catholic?”, or “Does a bear shit in the woods?”

The answer to both of these rhetorical questions is obviously “yes”, and so by responding to a genuine question with one of these you are giving an emphatic “yes” to whatever that question is.

Except that since Francis’s election, the first of these questions is no longer rhetorical. It’s a real question, to which the answer is very uncertain. I think Francis is Catholic, but I’m not at all sure. I wouldn’t bet any money on it.

And when that happens one must start questioning whether the other of this pair of questions is perhaps not so rhetorical as we always thought it was. In today’s uncertain world, who knows? Maybe bears don’t do their business where people always assumed they did.

CincyJan in reply to Tom Orrow. | December 8, 2024 at 12:59 am

Perhaps you’re too young to know, but the old answer to “is the Pope Catholic?”” Was “does a bear s@@t in the woods?”. The question about the pope began as a way of saying something was obvious, but it became so common people started answering with their own version … perhaps one that expressed their opinion of Catholicism.

The rot is deep

I hope the next Pope is a Catholic Christian. Would make a nice change.

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to Frank G. | December 8, 2024 at 9:29 am

Next Pope won’t be any better than Bergoglio and could be even worse. Why? Because Bergoglio has systematically removed anyone that opposes him and replaced them with more compliant people and has backloaded the College of Cardinals with his people so that there cannot be any revolt by the Cardinals to remove him over his actions.

No wonder Rome fell, and it is far beyond time for a new Crusade.

Not to mention the pope has been encouraging illegal immigration, and covering up for child abusers. Lefties seem to have influence.

The pope should take off his white beanie and lay it in the manger and take the keffiyeh and put it on his head where it belongs.

The Keffiyeh is a symbol of evil just like the swastica.
