U.S. Soldier Hurt During Biden’s Failed Gaza Pier Operation Died of Injuries
This pier was created to be a photo-op in hopes that Biden would gain votes in Michigan.
In May, my colleague James R. Nault reported that a US soldier was seriously hurt in activities surrounding Biden’s failed Gaza Pier operations.
Sadly, the young man has now died of his injuries.
The soldier, 23-year-old Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley, was one of three US service members injured in non-combat incidents during the mission, though two were immediately returned to duty after suffering minor injuries. He was assigned to the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary), out of Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
Stanley was recently medically retired by his unit because his injuries meant he would be unable to continue military service, a defense official said. He died on October 31.
“Stanley was injured while supporting the mission that delivered humanitarian aid to Gaza in May 2024 and was receiving treatment in long-term care medical center,” Capt. Shkeila Milford-Glover, a spokesman for the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, said Monday.
“Sgt Quandarius Stanley was an instrumental and well respected first line leader in the 7th Transportation Brigade Expeditionary (TBX), especially during the mission to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza,” Col. John “Eddie” Gray, commander of the 7th TBX, said Monday.
The exact nature of Stanley’s injuries has not been disclosed, except to say it was related to a “non-combat” incident.
Stanely and two other service members were injured during what the Pentagon has described as a non-combat incident while operating the staging platform of the pier in May, though the exact nature of the injuries was never made public. The other two suffered minor injuries, but Stanely’s were far more serious and required immediate emergency medical care.
However, one former ship captain has thoughts based on the nature of the constructed pier and the area’s geography.
See that photo below? Now what happens when a storm rolls in and waves start crashing over those trucks?
Floating piers are for harbors with natural protection from the weather. Elevated piers are for unprotected coasts.

Meanwhile, Biden’s military officials are declaring that the Gaza pier mission was a success.
It involved 1,000 U.S. troops, delivered only a fraction of the promised aid at a cost of nearly $230 million, and was from the start beset by bad luck and miscalculations, including fire, bad weather and dangers on shore from the fighting between Israel and Hamas.
The U.S. military has said the mission was a success, delivering the largest amount of aid ever into the Middle East.
More than 43,300 Palestinians have been killed in more than a year of war in Gaza, according to Gaza authorities, and much of the territory has been reduced to ruins.
Facts would indicate the mission was full of fail. Two Israeli soldiers deployed to secure the project were killed by Hamas terrorist in mid-June. The pier broke apart in heavy seas. The pier was under constant attack by Hamas, despite its purpose being the delivery of food and humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Our nation is probably fortunate that even more of its young men and women did not die in this project, which was projected to be the costly failure that it turned out to be by serious, experienced members of the military.

In a cruel twist of fate, this pier was created as a photo-op in the hopes that Biden would gain votes in Michigan.
Absolutely, Israel doesn't want or need this. Biden refuses to let Israel win. American troops are being inserted into the conflict so Biden can win the Michigan pro-Hamas vote. https://t.co/vXBzhnA8mz

Not only is Biden not running, but President Donald Trump has received the endorsement of many Muslim community leaders in Michigan.
Perhaps the best lesson is for Presidents to make the best choices for the American people, and to have a care for the men and women who are under their charge.
Prayers for the soul of Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley and the comfort of his family.

I’ll take, “How many lies can be packed into one sentence?” for $500.
This would be a joke if it weren’t so serious. Unreal.
Prays to the family. That being said again BUYden lied and people died.
It’s far past time to end the deaths of soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines due to photo ops and vote gathering by politicians.
This pier effort, doomed to failure from the very start, was declared a success by the Biden-Harris administration. Amateurs and losers all.
I have not noted any sort of statement from either Biden or Harris marking the death of SGT Stanley.
Rest in peace, SGT Stanley. It’s up to the rest of us to make sure your death was not in vain.
So tragic, adding insult is that I read somewhere that Hamas stole all those supplies.
He was single, so at least kids did not lose their father. Obit: https://www.jacksonmcgillfh.com/obituary/SgtQuandarius-Stanley
God’s speed Sergeant Stanley
I think it’s long past time that we should encode into law that any politician that sends our soldiers into Harm’s Way should have to March at the front. Enough of politicians using our military to further their own careers and fortunes.
That’s ridiculous. Every time we’re at war you expect the president and the entire Congress to quit the jobs the constitution actually gives them, and go into combat?! Do you expect Trump to go into combat at nearly 80? Should FDR have done so in his wheelchair? Did Adams go into combat against France, Jefferson against the Barbary pirates, Madison against Canada, or Lincoln against the South?! And what of female members of congress, or a female president? Never mind, go join the infantry?!
This has never in human history been how war was done. The elders, the senators, the leaders decide when to go to war, and the young warriors do the fighting.
Yep, and a certain class get to sit on their asses and let other people’s kids die.
I don’t expect that the President and Congress go to war. I do expect that their kids should be required to do so.
Bring back the draft and include women. Equality and stuff.
Conscription is slavery, and morally wrong.
And even when we had a draft, requiring politicians’ children to serve, rather than applying the same criteria to them as to everyone else, would have been an unconstitutional bill of attainder.
It’s also ridiculous how anti-war people (traditionally leftists, but now apparently rightists too) demand to know why politicians are not “sending” their children to the army. Children are not property. Nobody can “send” them anywhere they don’t want to go. They make their own decisions on whether to join, or how to react to a draft if there is one, and it’s completely unfair and illogical to demand anything of their parents.
“The elders, the senators, the leaders decide when to go to war, and the young warriors do the fighting.”
Yep, and many of those leaders in previous eras were the young warriors that the then-elders sent off to war. As they became leaders in their own right, their experiences in war would have taught them caution when committing to new wars.
Nowadays? Not so much.
Whether and how a candidate served is one factor voters can consider when voting for them.
For instance we’re all voting for Trump despite the fact that he didn’t serve; and we’d do so even if Harris had served. That would have been a point for Harris, but it still wouldn’t make us vote for her, because of all the other points against her.
But it’s stupid to demand that the president or the congress serve now.
It’s scandalous that Biden and the Dhimmi-crats ever sought to use the U.S. military and taxpayers’ money to give aid and succor to the genocidal, goose-stepping and belligerent Islamofascist, Muslim supremacist and terrorist Arab Fakestinian invaders from Arabia, in the first place. Simply outrageous and indefensible. The Gazan “civilians” overwhelmingly and gleefully support and participate in the evil Hamas regime. They are not innocent and shouldn’t be treated as alleged victims.
Sgt. Stanley, I thank you for your service.
George Orwell was 40 years off. Weakness is strength, subservience is victory.
Tomorrow (more or less) decides where we go from here.
Define “non-combat” that has one’s injuries linger on to the point of death months later. All for Biden to show his moxie as CnC. How many voting Gazans in the US will remember that tomorrow? None. Biden has the Medusa touch. FJB. FKH doesn’t work because that is how she got a head. Quite the role model for girls.
That’s easy enough. He may have been hit by a piece of storm-tossed debris, or something like that.
What a sad waste of a young man’s life.
Gotta break some eggs, eh Joe?
FJB
FKH
RIP sir, how wasteful
That seems to be a fitting end to the abortion that is the Biden-Harris regime given how it started! 🤬🤬
If I hadn’t already voted, I’d wear this to the polls tomorrow.
thats a good one
a real good one
and they could have added the mexican cartel
Serving in the military can be dangerous even in non combat deployments. Imagine 4yrs of a Harris Junta with the same people Biden has in charge?
All losses are bad. But, this is the worst kind of loss: One that happened ONLY to satisfy some political objective. There was no way JLOTS (the temporary pier system) was ever going to work in this mission profile. It simply wasn’t designed to work in unprotected waters that are subject to wind-driven sea states. Everyone who was familiar with JLOTS understood that and I have zero doubt that’s exactly what Pentagon planners told the White House. But, they ordered its deployment anyway because they couldn’t lose Michigan. Now, this young man who only wanted to serve his country has paid the ultimate price. You can’t hate Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and their political appointees enough.
I suspect that the kinds of Pentagon advisers who WOULD have said this was a bad idea are no longer at the Pentagon??
Probably still there. But, their promotion vector narrowed….or closed entirely. That’s usually how it works, particularly with Democrat administrations. Obama’s people were WAY more vindictive than what I hear about the current administration, largely because they’re too incompetent and out of their depth to sweat details like that.
Biden dismissed Stanley as garbage.
Hopefully, his family didn’t vote Democrat today. I am sure that Sgt Stanley did vote Democrat today. He wasn’t available for comment.
