Trump Nominates Kash Patel for FBI Director

“He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution.”

President-elect Donald Trump nominated Kashyap “Kash” Patel for FBI director.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

I am proud to announce that Kashyap “Kash” Patel will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and “America First” fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People. He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution. Kash did an incredible job during my First Term, where he served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. Kash has also tried over 60 jury trials. This FBI will end the growing crime epidemic in America, dismantle the migrant criminal gangs, and stop the evil scourge of human and drug trafficking across the Border. Kash will work under our great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to bring back Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity to the FBI.

Patel earned his BA in criminal justice and history at the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from University College Pace University.

Before entering the federal government, Patel worked as a Florida public defender for eight years after graduating from law school.

After that, Patel worked as a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice National Security Division and as a legal liaison to the Joint Special Operations Command.

In 2017, Patel was a senior aide to former Rep. Devin Nunes when he chaired the House Intelligence Committee.

Nervous? From Wray on down through the ranks they are scared spitless.

wendybar in reply to Fred Idle. | December 1, 2024 at 4:08 am

Shredding machines (and shredding trucks being seen in the area
) are going 24/7 in DC as we speak!!

Concise in reply to Fred Idle. | December 1, 2024 at 10:29 am

I doubt any document preservation notices are going to stop the shredding.

And I suspect a lot of phones are going to be getting upgrades at the start of 2025 that oddly result in a massive loss of data. Weird how that happens.

Since it appears the feds have been tracking most of us on our computers, phones, iPads, etc. is it reasonable to conclude that there is duplicate information in “the cloud?”

I sure hope so. However if the tracking is only by the FBI, ?????????

          Concise in reply to B. | December 1, 2024 at 12:12 pm

Based on their history, it’s more reasonable to conclude that there will be no backup of anything. It’s not their first rodeo.

I bet the ones who were whining that Trump was nominating too many white guys are gnawing off their legs right now.

The Gentle Grizzly in reply to henrybowman. | December 1, 2024 at 1:05 am

Indians by and large are considered Caucasian. Not the word white involved but same bloodlines. Just darker skin. That really has heads exploding.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | December 1, 2024 at 3:18 am

That complaint was awfully specific. They were complaining that he was nominating too few “people of color” to positions with the title of “secretary”. Other positions of equal rank but without that title didn’t count.

I thought I heard an ear-piercing scream from the East earlier. That explains it. Grats, Kash. Go forth and do justice.

Excellent pick, but the FBI needs to be demolished and rebuilt from the ground up.

Wisewerds in reply to Milhouse. | November 30, 2024 at 10:29 pm

It needs to be broken up into 6-12 smaller, single-function entities, with those entities being set up in medium sized cities–Spokane, Sioux Falls, Selma–across America.

Much of the deep state should be given the same treatment.

THAT is how to drain the swamp.

      JohnSmith100 in reply to Wisewerds. | December 1, 2024 at 10:32 am

Deep State requires firings, mostly firing. They became too used to power without accountability.

THANK YOU!!! I’ve been saying this for years. (And, Russians are Caucasians). Skin tone
does NOT determine race. On top of everything, with all the mixed marriages, pretty hard to find “Pure” whatever outside an historical tribe.

      Gremlin1974 in reply to Wisewerds. | December 1, 2024 at 7:11 pm

I disagree, we need to consolidate our Federal Law Enforcement agencies. FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals, Secret Service and the least useful of them all the ATF.

Firstly, just close the ATF, Consolidate the others into the U.S. Marshals and cut all the fat while you are at it. There is no need for so many “specialized” services with their own budgets, you have one agency with divisions just like regular law enforcement agencies.

Need to do the same with all the intelligence agencies consolidate them all into one agency with one budget and multiple divisions.

Also, there is no use for most agencies to have Law Enforcement Divisions so no more swearing in several thousand folks as deputy marshals so the EPA, IRS, and so on can have people with guns and powers of arrest.

Rebuilt? Nah. The few useful things the FBI does should be turned over to new, very small, focused agencies. Re-creating a super-agency that will just keep getting bigger and more power hungry makes no sense.

I agree with you about demolishing the fbi, but not about rebuilding it from the ground up. No need to rebuild. Turn over the criminal functions to the US Marshall service. Turn the counter intelligence function over to the DNI office.

You would have to greatly expand the USM’s office as they don’t do investigations. Judicial protection and fugitive apprehension are their responsibilities.

FWIW – I have a couple of clients that are federal prosecutors and/or with the FBI. Both have made the comment to me that the field offices/ regional offices are as non political as possible and further that most dont know anyones political affiliation. They have both said that the national office (DC) is very political. almost like two different universes

This will prove interesting.

I’m not personally familiar with Kash Patel, but all of the right people are upset by this nomination, so it must be good.

For those not familiar with kash, here is his testimopny from the Col.oradio trial.

An Indian American to run the FBI? Only a real racist, probably a secret KKK member, could oppose this appointment.

Gaetz was the shot across the bow, and Patel is the Exocet that pierces the hull.

He was there from the start with Nunes. No one better under the circumstances.

Cuckservatives and their commie pals wul

Three years ago, Kash made a wonderful video dealing with the Russian collusion hoax and his role. I just watched it a few days go. He’s going to make a darned good FBI director.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb0jNqFy-ak

Kash is a man “of color” who is well-suited for the position, but, the vile Dhimmi-crats will complain about this appointment, anyway, because #47 made it.

Two tsunami alerts working, both human, one at the border stopped, the other in the Swamp turned on. The Musk-Ramaswammy and Bondi-Patel teams should be a joy to watch. God speed.

I’ve heard Patel over the last couple of years on various podcasts. He is the real deal. This is a great pick.

Another disruptive choice to assist in remaking the Federal gov’t. The whining out of DC establishment and legacy media this week will be turned up to eleventy.

AF_Chief_Master_Sgt | December 1, 2024 at 7:32 am

Why is the swamp so consumed by this appointment?

As we heard time and time again, “If you’ve done nothing wrong, what is there to worry about?”

So Mr McCabe, do YOU have something to worry about?

Mr Wray, how about YOU?

Any of the other FBI agents have anything to worry about? Did any of YOU do the bidding of the deep state to harass innocent people?

Hey Congress Critters, is there anything in those Epstein logs that YOU have to worry about?

I thought so.

Oh they have a lot to fret over.

I’d like to know how come no one has been done for pedophilia that had sex with children on Epstein Island.

I’d like to know who signed off on the Mar a lago raid and how come no similar raid was conducted on Bidens residence when he took documentation he actually had no right to take.

I’d like to know who approved the Jan 6 operation.

I’d like an investigation carried out around the coordination of legal action between the White House and big Trish and Smith and the little black fella in NYC.

I’d like people to be backed in to a corner from the Obama administration around the coordination between them and the FBI on spying on the Trump campaign.

I’d like Hillary to be dragged in to answer for her Russian hoax conspiracy.

I’d like the 50 people who signed the muh Russia laptop hoax instigated (I don’t care what for but those people must be made to care about actions and consequences).

There is a lot I’d like to know about that most definitely wouldn’t be causing Democrats sleepless nights if female Barry was elected.

I concur. I hope DJR does not allow mercy this time around.

His new AG isn’t Jeff Sessions, who served Trump on a silver platter to Mueller.

I too want to see heads roll.

Suggest fire everyone and end all cases against Jan6 day 1

A good choice but I don’t see how he is confirmed by a Senate that is so hyde- bound to the nobility of institutions. No D will vote for him and the RINOs will be themselves..

Quite seriously, while I love and approve what Trump is doing, he has really stuck a stick into every hornet’s nest in the entire government. They are not just going to roll over and die.

I honestly believe that somewhere in a dark, soundproofed room there is serious discussion of how to present a coup to the American public as “saving democracy”.

This worries me.

You and I both. There are too many turtles on fenceposts here.

This comment (“THANK YOU!…” was supposed to go under G.

Well, one must start somewhere. Remember, Trump tried to play with the DC cabal, they
refused. 1 – Does he even consider Schumer that bipartisan is back???? Spare me.

2 – Many us have experienced democrats/leftists caving when pushed back. Maybe not
at top federal level but there’s a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. time of anything. Let’s pray that is the case with Hodge’s comment.

mailman in reply to Hodge. | December 1, 2024 at 12:46 pm

The beauty of all this is that every single senator that doesn’t toe the line will earn themselves a fantastic opportunity to run a re-election campaign in their home state against candidates funded by Elon Musk 😂 I suspect there will be a couple senators who will spite their face to cut their nose ofd off because old GOP habits die hard.

All of this is well and good but I shall withhold judgment until I can be reasonably assured that he looks good in chiffon and a pair of pumps, both being critical prerequisites for FBI Director.

Kamala was like, ‘I’m in debt, please send cash’, and Trump misunderstood.

We may see a mass exodus of government employees coming soon. Hopefully enough to turn Virginia red. The BMW, Mercedes and Tesla dealerships in the region may need a federal bailout 😁

I don’t understand why Trump didn’t have the FBI fire the FBI agents who had entrapped Gen Michael Flynn in an obvious perjury trap. In the end, he had to use a pardon to get them off his back. Any wisdom on that? Milhouse?
