Danica Patrick Reveals Trump Campaign Didn’t Pay Her for Support, Appearances

Oprah claimed Harris didn’t pay her, but the campaign paid Harpo Production $500,000 two times.

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick criticized all the celebrities for whom VP Kamala Harris’s campaign supposedly paid millions to show support.

It turns out President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign didn’t pay Patrick a penny.

Patrick said as much in Pennsylvania:

‘Now I’m speaking. I’m not paid to be here. I don’t have a teleprompter. I’m winging this right now, everybody. I don’t need a telephone,’ she said, referencing rapper Cardi B who endured teleprompter issues at her speech for Harris before eventually reading her words off a phone.

Patrick continued: ‘I never went to a Diddy party. I’m doing this because I love this country and there’s nobody that’s been tested more than Trump.’

She claimed putting Trump back in the White House is ‘the most important decision we will see in our life.’

‘We’re not living in a time of Republican (versus) Democrat, we’re living in good vs. evil.’

Oprah Winfrey denied claims the Harris campaign paid her $1 million.

That’s odd because FEC filings show two $500,000 payments to Harpo Productions, which is Oprah’s production company.

So even though the money didn’t go directly to Oprah, her company took money. Why couldn’t Harpo cover production costs?

A source said the campaign didn’t pay Megan Thee Stallion for a July appearance.

We haven’t heard denials or confirmations from the other celebrities.

Overall, the Harris campaign spent $15 million on event productions.

I highly doubt all those big-name celebrities who appeared with Harris did it all for free.

People also went to Trumps campaign events to hear him speak for several hours as opposed to people going to see Beyoncé perform with a couple minutes from Harris.

Incorrect. Scratch a leftist and you find greed and envy. Your typical “anti-capitalist” (Commie) is nothing but projection. They are envious that they don’t have the money and success themselves. But when they do they are greedier than Scrooge McDuck.

As you might be able to discern from my username, I’m a HUGE automotive enthusiast and motorsports fan. I go to a dozen races each year, NASCAR, Indycar, F1, sports cars, all of it. My wife and I are going to Vegas GP next week. If you would have asked me before this election season started who the least based American driver was, I would have said Danica Patrick, without hesitation. It’s shocking she’s an unabashed Trump supporter. Sometimes, you really have no idea how different public people are in private. Makes you wonder how many other public people pulled the lever for Trump.

Like Joe and Jill? Heh. (Actually, I’m guessing he and she wrote in Jill’s name.)

Kamala had to bribe people, while Trump inspires people.

This is the thing I love about Scottie Schefller, I have absolutely no idea about his politics!

The guy just plays golf day in day out without any dramas and I wish there were more people like this guy!!

Because that would be an in-kind contribution to the campaign. And there might be lawyers concerned about how that would get interpreted, as a media company. If they’re paid to produce something, then it’s just like buying the office lunch from Domino’s.

How do other media do it? Do you think the campaign pays CNN or Fox if they hold a town hall?

A major factor would be whether it’s done at the campaign’s request, and with the purpose of helping the campaign, or it’s a genuine news event with the purpose of attracting viewers (and hopefully informing the public).

Good question. I know they don’t. But, I’m guessing because Fox, CNN and the rest of the cable and broadcast nets hold onto the pretense that they’re legitimate news organizations engaged in a news function it’s not viewed as an in-kind contribution particularly if the offer to hold townhall for the other candidate is made (news organizations engaged in ‘news’ activities do receive exemptions to some FEC regulations).

Oprah couldn’t credibly make that argument considering her public and financial support of Harris as well as the absence of a similar invitation to Trump from Harpo Productions.

There should be detailed invoicing for all services provided, just picking some round number and cutting a check also looks shady.

No, they’re like hookers; they will tell you they are in love with you, but you have to pay them.
