Three Radicals Arrested for Allegedly Damaging, Setting Fire to Israeli-Owned Factory in New Hampshire
The three girls said they belong to the group Palestine Action U.S., which has a mission to destroy Elbit Systems because it is, to them, the “Zionist war machine.”
Authorities arrested three people in connection to the damage and fire at the Elbit Systems, an Israeli-owned company, factory in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
They arrested:
- Sophie Marika Ross, 22, of Housatonic, Massachusetts
- Cala Mairead Walsh, 19, of Cambridge, Massachusetts
- Bridget Irene Shergalis, 27, of Dayville, Connecticut

The three girls said they belong to the group Palestine Action U.S., which has a mission to destroy Elbit Systems because it is, to them, the “Zionist war machine.”
“We’re a direct-action network targeting Elbit Systems, their U.S. chapter specifically,” said Fergie Chambers, of Palestine Action U.S. “They are Israel’s largest weapons supplier. Eighty-five percent of the drones being used in Gaza right now are produced by this company. This location here in Merrimack, New Hampshire, produces display systems for fighter jets.”
The police received calls about an anti-Israel riot at the international defense electronics company’s factory before 8 AM ET. The fire department also arrived due to smoke coming from the roof:
Merrimack police said they received calls from employees at Elbit Systems, a defense contractor located at 220 Daniel Webster Highway, shortly before 8 a.m. saying that protestors were blocking the driveway and multiple people were believed to be on the roof of the building. Protesters have previously targeted Elbit Systems locations in Massachusetts and around the globe, alleging that the company is involved in Israel’s military campaign.

When they arrived at the scene, police said they encountered a number of protestors “blocking the driveway voicing support for Palestine.” Those protestors eventually moved out of the way and allowed police to access the property.
Officers said they met with security personnel and found that the front of the building had been spraypainted with red paint, windows had been smashed, and at least one fo the main lobby doors had been locked shut with a bicycle lock.
Three people were also reportedly on the roof. Police were able to access the roof and arrested the three people who were on top of the building without incident.
They were identified by police as Sophie Marika Ross, 22, of Housatonic, Massachusetts; Calla Mairead Walsh, 19, of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Bridget Irene Shergalis, 27, of Dayville, Connecticut. They were each charged with riot, sabotage, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and are scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superiot Court at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The first investigation showed the smoke came from a device on one of the suspects.
Authorities also found “damage consisting of spraypainting, smashed skylights and damage to HVAC equipment.”
Cala Walsh has a long history of radicalism, embracing terrorists and targeting anything Jewish…even preschools.

Here is my list: 1) Jail time. Extensive jail time. Not only did they cause damage to the building, but they put police and fire personnel at risk to deal with their crimes.
2) Restitution. Every cent the company has to pay to fix their building, equipment, HVAC, etc., should be charged to the women. I would even argue that the cost of the first responders should be charged to them as well.
There is a difference between “protesting” and vandalism and destruction of other peoples’ goods and property. Make ’em pay in jail and dollars for what they did.
Remember the woman lawyer who firebombed a police car in NYC? She got a year in prison! I thought arson was a felony, so why did she get only a year?

These creatures are not “radicals” nor are they hate criminals, protesters or activists. They are terrorists and should be charged (federally), convicted and sentenced as such.
They didn’t succeed in killing anyone this time, but that’s not for lack of trying. Throw the book at them. And make it a big, heavy one.
The problem with people like these three is that no matter the term of punishment, when it is served they will be even MORE radicalized. They are going to be bigger threats to society once they get out of jail if they even have to serve time. This is the Hobson’s choice that we face as a society.
