Climate Cult Leader John Kerry Uses D-Day Analogy to Shill for Green Energy Inanity

Biden administration policies are leading to transformer shortages and warnings of energy blackouts during the summer.

The last time we checked on Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, a group of 27 Republican representatives were demanding Biden disavow the Climate Czar’s cultist remarks targeting agriculture.

Kerry continues to shill for green energy inanity today, likening the fantasy fight against global warming to Allied troops’ Europe-liberating invasion of Normandy during World War II.

Today’s generation is facing its very own climate D-Day and must take immediate action in the war against global warming, according to US special presidency envoy for climate John Kerry.

….“Make no mistake, just as that was a fight for the future as much as anything we have ever faced, what we are seeing now is the same,” he said.

Kerry said the world was now in a decisive decade and the price of failure could carry greater consequences than those faced during the D-Day landings if the right choices are not made.

“What is also clear right now is we can also win this fight, but it requires the same level of innovation and mobilisation that was required back then by those in the greatest generation,” he said.

Unlike the fight against Hitler’s forces, the climate battle is not one against a single enemy, Kerry reasoned. “Today’s threat comes from all of us. It comes from the result of the things we do or avoid doing,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is carrying out policies that are creating a shortage in a key component of the transfer of electrical energy: Transformers. A transformer is an electrical apparatus that manipulates the level of voltage flowing through any point in a power grid, so they are rather important to the energy supply chain.

According to the American Public Power Association, 1 in 5 housing projects has been delayed or canceled owing to shortages. The pandemic dearth of semiconductors, appliances and cars eased as demand ebbed and supply increased, but don’t expect this one to let up anytime soon.

Thank President Biden’s green-energy policies, which are increasing demand for transformers and the specialized electrical steel to manufacturer them while creating enormous market uncertainty. The lack of transformers is exacerbating the country’s housing shortage and causing longer and more-frequent power outages.

… [T]he U.S. is dependent on a single domestic manufacturer for the electrical steel used in electric vehicles and transformers—Cleveland-Cliffs—and it can’t meet growing demand from the power industry and automakers seeking to electrify their fleets.

Domestic transformer manufacturers can and do import steel but have to pay a 25% tariff even as they struggle to compete with lower-cost foreign manufacturers. The U.S. is increasingly relying on imported transformers, including from China, which presents cybersecurity risks.

Professor Glenn Reynolds took a hard look at the current energy policies, warning that the likely summer blackouts can be blamed on the green-energy cultists in charge of making decisions about the nation’s fuel sources.

…[T]he people running things care more about green politics than they care about the quality of life of the people they’re supposed to be serving.

A sensible regulatory system would put grid reliability at the top of the priority list.

When power goes out, people’s lives are disrupted, the old and sick are put at risk (in the heat and especially in the cold), businesses have to shut down and lose money, workers forgo pay, and the entire atmosphere shifts closer to that of a decrepit Third World nation.

If you cared about both the planet and the people, you wouldn’t take power plants offline until you’d put enough new capacity online to replace them and meet projected additional demand.

And you wouldn’t make unreliable technologies like wind and solar, which tend to fail when they’re most needed, the mainstay of your generating scheme.

The real battle will be to reverse these destructive policies before permanent harm is done.

I have a much more apt World War II analogy. Our country really needs the next Oppenheimer, but this time with the end goal being the rapid construction of safe and effective nuclear power plants.

When you’re a clueless gigglo and have no idea how the system works a power/ money grab isn’t going to fix anything.

Kerry may have the largest carbon footprint of any person who has ever lived enabled my his current wife’s first husband’s inherited fortune.

They own at least 5 homes totaling over 40,000 square feet in aggregate, perhaps more. This includes an 18 acre estate on Martha’s Vineyard which happens to be waterfront… so much for the rising oceans.

He flys all over the globe on private jets and he and his wife own about 10 large SUVs.

He has personally expended more carbon than the inhabitants of most small mid western cities yet he sits there without a hint of irony or humility and lectures the rest of us about how we have to sacrifice to save the planet to which I say…

    Fuck you John Kerry.

I’d bet a bunch of Arab sheikhs make him look like a climate angel. Those guys take conspicuous consumption to a whole new level.

Other, vile Dumb-o-crats made a similarly idiotic and contemptible D-Day analogy, a few years ago. I think it was some Dumb-o-crat media shill who likened the “Anti-fa” terrorist-thugs to the troops landing on the Normandy beaches, in a Tweet that ranks up there as one of the most despicable statements ever uttered on that platform.

This is pure political theater! One volcano erupting spews more pollution than millions of SUVs and is more deadly. But this is never mentioned in the “We’re all going to die because of CO2” lie. They don’t tell us that to produce an EV that the carbon footprint is the same as an ICE vehicle being driven 80,000 miles. These liars are not worried about our health, they want to control our lives. If they can dictate everything we own and buy, they control us. They’re working on our transportation and cooking along with how we heat our homes. With the Covid nonsensical lockdown and mandates, they are halfway there. They never mention that the electrical grids in most nations cannot handle any huge increases in load. Yet they want us to switch to all-electric.

You are correct regarding volcanos. A large volcanic eruption that occurred prior to human civilization released more CO2 than has ever been emitted by human activity cumulatively,

what a loathsome turd he is–a fraud, a grifter, a parasite–to compare a transparent scam / fraud to the d-day landings in any respect, once again displays his total lack of character, of honour–a putrid embarassment to his family as well as his country

I don’t know anyone who takes the mega inheritance chaser Kerry seriously.

D-Day? How bout Kerry lead the charge? He can round up several million folks who believe this drivel and cycle them through a training program run by the Amish so they are prepared for their pre industrial age lifestyle to come. He can use the list of donors to these causes and work from top down. Needs some publicity so start with all the celebrities in Hollywood, then get the Financial Services big shots who misused investor funds for this crap, then get the politicians who voted for this and don’t skip the bureaucrats who seek to apply farcical regulations. That should keep Kerry busy for a while.

This guy’s had more plastic surgery than the entire Kardashian clan, and this is how he looks?

Paula in reply to E Howard Hunt. | June 8, 2023 at 1:31 pm

He has had so much plastic surgery he used up half of the nation’s supply of plastic. His surgeon went three years without a vacation and is now reputed to have more ketchup money than Teresa Heinz.

The next crisis that they should be concerned about is global *nuclear* warming

It seems more like the British burning down the White House to me.

The Gentle Grizzly | June 8, 2023 at 2:43 pm

He should be ashamed of himself.

William Downey | June 9, 2023 at 10:27 am

We should all be outraged that Kerry would conflate D-Day to climate.

He believes the CCP’s lies about reducing emissions as they build an average of two coal-fired power plants every two weeks.

Living in a world of wealthy – political elites, he has no idea what the average family faces. Like the Roman Senate as Rome crumbled or Marie Antoinette as the French monarchy fell, bread and circuses and let them eat cake, I mean bugs, is not an option.

not_a_lawyer | June 9, 2023 at 11:28 am

The question arises, why is Mr. Kerry doing this? I do not believe that John believes the lies he is propagating. Is he making money in some way by pushing this nonsense? Do we not have a functioning press that can investigate this man’s motivations? His attacks on electricity generation is a major threat to all Americans. It would seem to be that an honest press would look into this threat.

I repeat: John Kerry does not believe that ‘global warming’ is harming the planet. There is some ulterior motivation behind his vociferous attacks on electricity generation. What is it?

Erronius

Kerry isn’t a liar, he’s a person who doesn’t understand the concept of “truth”. As for motives, he is desperate to join the “in crowd”, whatever he perceives it is at the moment. As a kid, he made sure to get pictures of him hanging out with the Kennedys. He sought military glory in the Vietnam War – so desperately that he fired off a whole lot of ammunition at an enemy that none of the other Americans on the boats could see, and somehow got wounded when no one else saw any incoming fire. Then he browbeat doctors into giving him a Purple Heart for a minor scratch – 3 times.

But when he got back to the States, he found that the military was out of fashion. To get in good with the new “in crowd”, such as Jane Fonda, he testilied against American servicemen at the winter soldier hearings.

But he grossly overestimated the breadth and depth of the antiwar movement. (It seemed to me that 90% of the men in it lost interest once Nixon stopped drafting men.) When he ran for President decades later, the winter soldier hearings were not mentioned, and he bragged about 3 Purple Hearts.

Now, he’s found another “in crowd”, and he’ll say anything to blend in.
