DeSantis: ‘I’m Running for President to Lead Our Great American Comeback’
DeSantis filed FEC paperwork earlier today.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis filed paperwork with the FEC to run for president. He tweeted out his video right before the talk with Elon Musk should have started.
Got audio at 6:09 PM ET. But it keeps going in and out.
Anyway. DeSantis is running for president.

DeSantis crashed Twitter Spaces.
Holy crap! @RonDeSantis's announcement is crashing Twitter's servers. Currently 656k listeners. The mod on the @TwitterSpaces said, "We're just reallocating more server capability to be able to handle load here. It's really going crazy." pic.twitter.com/Z16J1u14Gj

He is poling at 13% and falling,,,,, people already know he is just a bush under cover.
And here we thought Trump was all about that bush under cover….
All the Only Trump Cray Cray on display today is making my sarcasm act up.
Funny. It must be contagious — I feel it too.
For 50 years SHAM had the second fastest time ever in the Kentucky Derby. He was an amazing horse. But no one remembers SHAM today because he came in second behind the greatest thoroughbred in history: Secretariat.
Did he sire Sham Wow?
Stop your nonsense. Where was Trump polling in June 2015? Ron will prevail.
You wanting that so so bad just doesn’t make it so. Trump and all his Only Trump supporters need to grow up or you will all get us to another 4 years of senile grifter Biden and the end of the US
If Trump loses the nomination he’s threatened to go 3rd party to make sure Biden’s elected.
If Trump actually did that ….. Then virtually everything Trump has ever said is nothing but BS
Did what, go third party? Why not. Totally disagree. I don’t think he needs to go third party (actually second) because there is just a Uniparty right now.
Maybe some of us don’t like DeSantis. To call us Trump supports need to grow up is not going to make “us” support DeSantis. Do you really think Biden is going to be the candidate?
Yeah, I remember when Jeb went after Disney and fixed the left bias in Florida universities. Right?
That’s great news, starride. We in Florida get to keep our governor, and all of us can suffer BaiDeng for another four years.
Which Donk are you going to vote for in 2028?
Indeed, the potential for losing DeSantis to the Presidency makes me fear who will replace him in Florida.
Why would you “fear” who replaces him in Florida? Our state Constitution requires that the lieutenant governor become gov. should the sitting gov. leave office for any reason. Nunez was hand-picked by DeSantis, so I think we’ll be in good hands. If not, we just vote her out in ’24. He’s term-limited, so he couldn’t run for a third term, anyway.
He’s polling at 25%, and third place is Haley at under 4%.
By comparison, between June 15, 2019 and March 1, 2020, Biden fluctuated between 17% and 32%. At this point in the 2020 primaries, there were 5 Democratic candidates above 6%. At this point in the 2016 primaries, there were 8 candidates above 7%.
The key dynamic here isn’t really about DeSantis. It’s really about whether there is a third candidate that is capable of pulling more than 5%. Because right now, the answer is ‘no.’ And if it stays ‘no,’ then it becomes a two person race and DeSantis will benefit greatly late in the year.
Most polls have him 13-15%
Now when the globalist throw President Trump in jail for being an honest American
who loves this country15% will probably do it
That’s what DeSantis and co and waiting for
This is also untrue, gonzo. Polls do have him trailing Trump by double digits, but MOST polls show him at 20-26% Still not great, I’ll grant you, but this isn’t even hard to verify. Why do you tell such lies? Do you hope that your fellow Only Trumpers will believe you? Because you have to know that no one outside that narrow little circle will.
Poll released today shows Trump losing to Biden while DeSantis wins.
Of course. There is no way Trump wins the general, though he may end up winning the GOP primary. Sigh.
Prove to us how and where Trump is an honest American. Ask the J-6 prisoners if they would vote for Trump again if they are ever allowed to dod so.
He’s a fine Governor of Florida, and I wish him well.
You RWAAAAACIST! 😉
You have a friend, , a multi-billionaire, a president, a historical figure,
who saved your career, put you in a mansion,
made your name, and would’ve potentially got you elected as president in just a few years with his endorsement—and you decide to throw this all away and unnecessarily stab him in the back
Gonzo, could I see your proof that Trump’s endorsement swung the election to DeSantis? I live here and I saw no such evidence — if anything, many Floridians may have voted against DeSantis because of TDS and DeSantis might have won the election by a larger margin.
“Rep. Ron DeSantis has opened up a 12-point lead in Florida’s Republican race for governor, according to a new independent poll that indicates President Donald Trump is the key to his success.
DeSantis has built his campaign around the support of Trump, who endorsed the congressman in December and then followed up with another endorsement in June, thereby slighting the establishment front-runner, Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, who had dissed Trump on the campaign trail in 2016.”
Thanks for posting that, 26. Other than the source being Politico, which I deem questionable, could you clear up one thing in that analysis?
“Rep. Ron DeSantis has opened up a 12-point lead in Florida’s Republican race for governor …” was in the primary in August, during which he had 7 opponents.
In the General, DeSantis outpolled Gillum by 0.4%. His win was considered an upset.
How did Trump’s endorsement win the General for DeSantis?
You’re quoting Politico? Ha ha ha ha! What did the Daily Best have to say?
Politico….🤣🤣… ok so that’s who we are believing now… that incredible team of “journalists”.
Not sure I’m
Allowed to pay “proof” from websites so read fast, might disappear
But Trump’s endorsement was the biggest factor in swinging the race to DeSantis.
This is fine, gonzo. You are providing links that you imagine support your point (they don’t, but that’s another story). Do you not understand how this is different than copying and pasting entire articles and/or comments from other sites, often without attribution or any indication that they are not your own words (i.e. you are plagiarizing)?
I don’t understand why you find this hard to grasp. No one else here does that, particularly after being told repeatedly and, yes, for years to stop it.
Gonzo, that’s in the Primary. (You and 26 had the same exact links, btw.)
What about the General, where DeSantis won by only 0.4% against Gillum, who was a horrible candidate and an even worse person?
Yep. Trump’s endorsement was a factor in DeSantis winning in ’18, no doubt about it. The critical thing though that swung the election? Maybe, maybe not, but it was a big deal.
Trump was returning the favor that DeSantis had done him in ’16 when he endorsed Trump. Then DeSantis endorsed Trump again in ’20 without equivocation. The debt on endorsements has been paid, even assuming it ever existed.
Oh it was most critical, DeSantis was losing buy 12-13 points, then President Trump came to his rescue per desantis request
The rest is history
Yep. Trump repaid the earlier DeSantis endorsement of Trump in’16 with an endorsement of DeSantis in ’18. Then DeSantis endorsed Trump again in ’20. That’s the history.
By your eternal loyalty logic wouldn’t Trump have unquestioningly owed that endorsement to DeSantis in ’18? Why would there be any hesitation about or question of whether Trump should have returned the favor he owed DeSantis from ’16?
So what? If Trump’s endorsement was the reason for his victory, does that mean he can never run for any office that Trump assumes is his? I am witnessing new rules made up by the MAGA crowd to protect Trump from a guy they claim can never beat him. Does that seem a little ironic? If he can’t beat him and is a big-time loser then why worry about him? Trump is not going after Halley or Hutchison. Ramysamy is not in danger of a Trump attack so why hit on DeSantis if he can’t win?
Looks like Trump’s version has merit, pehaps absent the tears. But who really knows?
“President Donald Trump’s endorsement lifted U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis to victory in Florida’s Republican primary for governor Tuesday and abruptly halted the long rise of Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, for years a darling of the state’s GOP establishment.
DeSantis rewrote the political playbook in Florida with his win, beating a candidate who raised considerably more money and executed a textbook campaign centered around extensive television advertising, cultivating strong support among GOP leaders across the state and employing superior grassroots organizing. Putnam’s campaign knocked on more than 400,000 doors and the candidate held more than 200 public events.
All of that proved fruitless in the face of Trump’s endorsement, which helped pluck DeSantis from relative obscurity and propel him into the frontrunner spot in the GOP race.”
This was AFTER DeSantis, as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, called on the party to unify behind Trump in 2016. If anything, Trump was repaying a political favor to DeSantis.
Trump repaid a favor, that’s it. The end.
Oh dear God.
This is how the sausage gets made. Politicians trade favors and trade endorsements. There isn’t any eternal obligation created when someone makes an endorsement. It’s a one to one exchange.
It’s a bad argument that makes Trump look Cray Cray for making. By his logic every politician he ever endorsed throughout his lifetime owes him a debt. You do understand that Trump endorsed a whole bunch of d/prog in his many years on the earth and those d/prog ain’t likely to provide Trump an endorsement in return.
By the way, I have posted it numerous times.
Excuse me? You’ve posted the same links numerous times, or something else?
I thought that you might have support for your statement that DeSantis won his election because of Trump’s endorsement. Do you?
BTW — found this on Politico:
“Congratulations to Andrew Gillum on having run a really tough and competitive race for Governor of the Great State of Florida,” Trump said on Twitter. “He will be a strong Democrat warrior long into the future – a force to reckon with!” — https://www.politico.com/story/2018/11/17/desantis-wins-florida-gubernatorial-race-as-gillum-concedes-1000530
Always nice to congratulate the losers
Didn’t your mother teach you anything?
People you work with get promoted over you? How did you treat them when they were a nobody
Man’s I don’t think anyone knew of his drug bisexuality at the time..
President Trump is actually a very nice human being and treats all his employees well, or so I have been told
Gonzo, still waiting for support for your contention that Trump’s endorsement had anything to do with DeSantis winning the general election in 2018.
If anything, Trump’s tweet could be seen as further proof that he’s a poor judge of character. Ask around Tallahassee where Gillum was mayor, if anyone knew about his foibles.
If you can’t support your argument, perhaps you should not resort to ad hominems as a defense.
(There was no “Reply” button beside your post.)
We’re placing Momma in bounds? Ok cool.
OMG! That was as insane as his endorsement of OZ and Walker. The man simply has no judgment of character. Can anyone name one single person he has appointed to any job that was any good? Maybe Kudlow. Gillum turned out to be a meth-head homosexual who had a wife. He was investigated by the FBI but we can imagine how they treated him. Just let them debate and tell us why we should vote for them. That’s the way we have always done it in America.
Gillum was already known to be corrupt when that election took place.
Do us a favor and go away. Plenty of other boards on the net for you.
Love how Republicans are throwing away Maga votes. Good luck. YOU sound just like the Progressives on the other side. We will go away and YOU will get Biden. You deserve him.
No. Very much incorrect. What is happening here is the recognition that Only Trump voters ain’t gonna support anyone but Trump. Several of the most vocal Only Trump commenters here have told us that many times.
The overwhelming majority of folks that comment here voted for Trump x2. The ‘MAGA’ movement is an extension of the Tea Party which was itself an extension of the Ross Perot campaign.
The populist right has existed for a decades and many of us have been in that space for a while. Most of us are still registered as GoP voters b/c there isn’t a realistic path for a third party.
Those of us on the populist right selected Trump as our avatar in ’16 to push back against the crony capitalist, neocon DC establishment. We stuck with him in ’20.
In ’24 we have a competitive primary and each candidate has an opportunity to make their case and earn our support. I will vote for the GoP nominee in the general election as will 95%+ of the folks here.
Don’t confuse requiring advocates of a particular candidate to make convincing arguments to earn our support with rejection of any candidate. It might help the Only Trump advocates to :
1. Realize that MAGA isn’t exclusively Only Trump voters by a long, long way
2. Use more honey and less vinegar at least in interaction with those you want to persuade
3. Pledge to support the GoP nominee regardless of which candidate secures the nomination
When you make statements that you will take your ball and go home if your preferred candidate isn’t successful in the primary it demonstrates you would rather be ruled by Biden and the d/prog than support the GoP nominee.
That’s not a serious approach to addressing the problems and challenges our Nation faces. It undermines everything else you post b/c it indicates you would rather we all suffer in defeat instead of accepting the will of the majority of GoP voters in the GoP primary.
You might as well just stick a Biden 2024 bumper sticker on your car… cause that’s what you and your ilk are working for… grow up and see the forest for the trees
I’m happy just watching libtard heads explode. They keep talking about free rent, and now we have both DeSantis and Trump living in their heads rent-free. America is already great again.
And the cherry on top is that Target was quoted (leaked) today saying they had to move the Pride displays pronto to avoid another Bud Light fiasco. Meaning, our Bud Light boycott has already won. NOT saying it’s time to call it off, quite the reverse.
There are a few commentators/bloggers who insist that the job won’t be done until at least one major woke corporation is put out of business, so that they finally realize that WE mean business.
The “fortified” opposition will have to spend more to “buy” their election. Contributions will be asked of the FBI, DOJ, NSA among others.
He’s gong the General Patton route on the flag treatment. Mostly pols have twelve flags in the background to show their patriotism.
Visual messaging … I can imagine whomever the candidate is cutting a promo in front of Mt. Rushmore … for years it’s been a summer vacation destination for patriotic Americans and Harley enthusiasts – for years independence day has been celebrated with fireworks – but the Biden administration has prohibited them. I could imagine whomever is the R nominee appealing from Mt. Rushmore for patriotism, celebration of American accomplishment, and simply asking if people are tired of the small, petty, chicken$h!t politics of the current administration? It would make for a stunning video – better than all the ubiquitous flag posing … hell, have the candidate look admiringly at a Harley … pandering I’m sure – but all of it is – but better to appeal to real people and issues than the Patton route …
“Great American Comeback” begs a few questions … obviously, coming back from the ash heap of the Biden term – but coming back to what? While Trump / MAGA have no copyright on “Great” it seems to give homage to the Trump years and MAGA. Surely America was better off and more esteemed on the world stage under Trump. I wonder if RdS will find himself splitting hairs – leading a “comeback” with or without admitting that Trump / MAGA did get some things right … seems like he’ll have to walk a tight rope with messaging …
As Gonzo has pointed out recently, DeSantis hasn’t been shy about crediting him for his successes during his administration.
DeSantis should stay the governor of Florida and finish the fight against Disney.
This intro video was boring and uninspiring. I have no reason to switch my support from Trump to DeSantis based on this video. What all you NeverTrumpers, SomewhatTrumpers and Leftists have to admit is that Trump at least evoked an emotion from you. Be honest, what emotion did DeSantis evoke from you after watching that video? And did you get a reason from that video why DeSantis should be running for president?
He should stay the governor of Florida.
He should stay the governor of Florida.
I agree, and have said so repeatedly. He should just go ahead and let Trump take the loss and get out of the way so he doesn’t have to fight on two fronts in 2028 – IF we’re still pretending to have real elections in 2028.
Oops, sorry. Forgot the quotation marks.
We have been pretending to have real elections since Nixon/Kennedy.
You wrote: “He should stay the governor of Florida.”
That’s what I was hoping at first, but that ship has sailed.
I agree, but some lessons must be learned the hard way.
No one here is addressing the fact that if Trump was to win he would be a lame duck on his first day. If the R’s don’t take both houses then we would be in gridlock. The “Drain the Swamp” crowd thinks he is going to swagger into DC and kick ass. He’s not. The system will not allow any such thing to happen and if he can’t work with his R allies he will truly be helpless except for tweets. Everything DeSantis has done in FL is now a law. Everything Trump did in DC was erased by Biden because he couldn’t work with Congress and had to use executive orders. It’s called working within the system. Throwing a tantrum and sending out mean tweets does not get the job done.
Gillum was already known to be corrupt when that election took place.
Did you listen to the Twitter conversation?Relaxed, very, very smart and knowledgable, and didn’t hurl any personal insults. High praise from many sources, including the New York Times political reporter. He should NOT stay as Governor of Florida. The entire country needs him. The interview on Twitter is avaiable online so please listen to it
Ok, who brought you the great economy in American history?
It wasn’t DeSantis
But mean tweets, I get it
How do you suppose it would have went if ALL the lies, all the arrows, all the Investigations, all the rino traitors, hadn’t tried to destroy him?
Asking for a friend
“It wasn’t DeSantis.”
He wasn’t President. Duh.
Is that the argument you’re going to tell voters? Go listen to his interview on Twitter? Really? I’m online a lot, but I don’t do Twitter. I have an account, but my posts on there are few and far between. If I’m like that and I’m more savvy than most net users what do you think is going to be the response of people who are not net savvy?
And if some of you conservatives were insulting and mocking of a lot of the crap the Left supports we wouldn’t be here with a lot of the nonsense afflicting the country.
How so? Everything DeSantis has done is anti-globalist, anti-neocon, anti-everything the Bushes (both of them) stood for. Name one policy of DeSantis or one law he’s signed that is even remotely “Bush lite.”
He’s been handled well, his congressional record, his, I want to be like Ryan when I grow up, all attest to a well strategized plan, to look MAGA as Gov. It is why he was chosen
But you will see if he ever makes it to the WH his handlers expect payments
You will be disappointed
So the policy victories DeSantis achieved in Florida; constitutional carry, getting the grooming propaganda away from young school kids, gutting DEI/CRT programs in ED and elsewhere, appointing disruptors like Rufo to the board of trustees at New College, empowering Parents, school choice options and so on… all these things are an elaborate ruse to create a Manchurian candidate to defeat Trump?
Please explain in detail how this works.
It doesn’t have to make sense, it just has to advance the narrative
Well, first Carl Rove is backing him. His win record is awful and is neocon BS all the way. I was 100% behind the Neocon movement until I figured out that it was all smoke and mirrors going back to Bush 1.
Second, he is clueless on Ukraine.
Ron DeSantis has reversed his position on Ukraine, after facing widespread criticism for calling the Russian invasion a “territorial dispute”.
Speaking to Fox Nation in an interview to be broadcast in full on Thursday, the Florida governor and probable contender for the Republican presidential nomination said his “territorial dispute” remark had been “mischaracterised”.
Ron DeSantis DeSantis hits Republican poll low as Trump tightens grip on primary
His position is more in line with the Neocon/Globalist. Sorry, Ukraine has been the Bengiz arm sales kickback program on steroids from every NGO feeder system. His statement alone tells me he is a Club for Growth favorite:
“He impressed national right-wing groups and won the endorsement of the influential Club for Growth, which brought a flood of cash from donors. He won the seven-way GOP primary by a wide margin, drawing nearly 40% of the vote.”
Third, I think the GOPe help cheat for him in the last election making his win margin larger that it really was. I have no proof on that, but something does not seem right with the results. I have been follow the results across the country and have been doing number crunching with Census data and some voter roll information and I can’t place my finger on it, but something is off.
Wow, this is all . . . just wow. What evidence do you have that Karl Rove is backing DeSantis? He’s a talking head these days on some alphabet leftist media, but that’s it. Show me that DeSantis is actually even in freaking contact with Karl Rove, which I highly doubt since every single thing DeSantis has done spits in the face of the Bush-Rove neocon crazies.
DeSantis’ position on Ukraine is essentially the same as Trump’s: no boots on the ground, no blank checks, no new wars, no nation building. As with so many BS attacks on Trump, this is a BS attack on DeSantis saying “territorial dispute,” and it’s just as wrong to hang on to one phrase and use it against him as it was to do that against Trump.
Dude. DeSantis worked his butt off cleaning up Florida elections, and he deserves full credit for that. He didn’t need the Trump-approved Rona McRomneyCare RINO to “help” him. We love him in Florida, and our elections are currently among the cleanest in the country because he did the work and made it so.
“Wow” cut the drama. DeSantis is milk toast. Personally I really don’t care about Trump. What I care about is the Dulles Movement that has been ruining our country since the 60’s. LBJ’s Great Society to Clinton/Bush (yes “Clinton Bush”) Iran Contra to the Neocon Iraq/Afgan Wars.
“I am running for president of the United States to lead our great American comeback Boy that is great branding. Kinda sounds like MAGA, eh?
He has cleaned up the elections. Give me a break. FL has been solid red controlled since 1998. I have seen zero effort by the state to stop the outside influence voter machine to stuff the box. Yea, there is some show stuff about drop box locations, etc… but it the machine is run by $B. One offs are just show and not going to stop it. The problems are very complex and not easily explained here (nor the time and space).
I connected the dots when I was listening to an NPR show about a WSJ independent drug cartel reporting claiming GPS Fusion was smearing him. It appears CIA hit squad was part of my beloved WSJ that I had been subscribing to for 30+ years. I use to get the Washington Post too to compare stories. Probably around 2012 the stories looks the same in both newspapers. Corporate control of everything seems to be happening everywhere and Agenda 21 popped up on my radar screen because of the Pandemic. The New World order got its start with Wilson league of Nations crap and Kissinger really launch it to the moon. IMO, DeSantis is just a cut out of the New World Order team. I wonder how much support Desantis is getting to help take out Trump, verse what DeSantis is going to deliver? Your one trick pony is going to run against who? Gretchen? Newsom? Az has shown us how bad the election fraud is. The lawfare against Trump shows how deep they can go. The manufactured claims in the Kavanaugh hears, the coverup of the Clinton’s Biden’s, McCains and Victoria Nuland’s Ukraine money laundering.
Enough of the rant. Be a frog in boiling water. Jeb Lite is not the answer. He does not have a movement behind him and to claim that he will unite the Uniparty is a joke. They already are the Uniparty and he is in it.
Georgia is a good example of voter fraud across party lines. I watched crap movies like 2000 Mules that barely make the case for voter fraud and think we are hosed. I looked that the voting data in Wayne county Mich and when over 70 K people registered to vote in 2020 from July to Nov election when they averaged 2 k annually. We got stuck with Peters when James won that election. Glad DeSatinis worked his butt off on voter fraud. Not going to make a difference where it counts. The 2022 red wave proves that out and the so the the 81 M votes. Do you really believe Biden got 81 M votes? The machine has been working hard since they screwed up in 2016 and they have been working overtime since then. Call me Dude all you want, but you moving toward a hold my beer moment.
You might remember, Trump actually was president and has an outstanding record of achievement to run on. You think he did that by accident?
Just thinking out loud
He did that in spite of all the bs..
Yet he wasn’t sworn in for a second term despite his best efforts directly on the heels of those accomplishments when they were fresh in voters minds. Which should also give us something to think about.
Trump did some great things as president, there is no doubt about that, and he made a huge difference with the Abraham Accords, for example, but the vast majority of Trump’s victories were by fiat, by a pen and phone (i.e. Executive Order), and as such have all been undone by Biden’s pen and phone.
Trump failed to make deals with a Republican-majority Congress, and as a result his many campaign promises failed to emerge (no wall, no Hillary conviction, no swamp draining–heck, he embraced the swamp and was surprised when they held him under and drowned him).
Trump couldn’t close the deals. Period. So he did EO’s (the vast majority of which I approve), but they were all undone by Biden. That’s an unacceptable record.
DeSantis said he wouldn’t pardon the Jan 6 political prisoners
Kind of all you need to know right there…
JAG and all
Please provide your source for this statement that DeSantis said he won’t pardon any of the J6 political prisoners. This would be disappointing, but I did a search, and I came up with nothing on this. Therefore, unless you can provide a credible source, I’m not going to believe this for one second.
“I actually am glad to see some of these people being arrested from the DC thing, because I think the prosecutions will really make a difference,” Ron DeSantis stated.
This is consistent with his lack of a response to the raid on Trump and the misquote slam of so call “Trump Hush Money” statement.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair,” DeSantis said as laughter broke out at a news conference in Panama City, Florida. “I just, I can’t speak to that.”
Knowing full well all the BS charges against Trump, it shows his handlers are leveraging the false BS to promote him. Where is the out cry from DeSantis about the Russiangate Hoax?
Sorry, I see DeSantis failing on Foreign Policy and not addressing the election fraud issue or the government/lawfare abuses. Pretending they don’t exist is just more of the same and is not going to fix this country.
Even if he wins, I seem him as a bought, no change candidate.
But that doesn’t address my question. Gonzo claims that DeSantis stated that he will not pardon any of the J6 political prisoners, and what you have written does not support her claim. He has not said that.
Who cares if he pardons the J6 political prisoners. That does not solve the two tiered justice system. Again, you really do not see how big this is. Point issues are a distraction. We have just had a world wide scamdemic and I still have a picture in my head of Florida cops with GUNS surrounding a guy at the beach. Thanks Ron for your efforts. Mask wearing is a great example of the level of control they have. Gonzo is entertainment and window dressing. I have to give Trump credit for creating a movement. Even though it actually is a rebranded Tea Party, he sure gave it a boost. I am waiting for the Ron movement. I don’t see the Tea Party flipping. Attacking Trump supports or Trump is not going to get you the votes needed to even win even if the election is fair.
Gonzotx, you can have a real future writing anti-DeSantis divel for Truth Social and the 2024 Trump Campaign.
Seek the truth and you will find it
Follow the money
The money that once supported Trump but is now supporting DeSantis? Now it’s “bad” money? From the same exact millionaires and billionaires that once supported Trump? lmao
I was traveling so I missed the big twitter spaces thing with Elon.. Seems that there were technical issues.
Act of God
You have a low opinion of God. More likely, there was so much response that it overwhelmed the servers. Bad news for Trump.
LOL, why don’t you have that discussion with 4chan, the Rino and Dem hackers. I wonder how many elections have been ridged since Kennedy/Nixon? AI is going to make this election cycle a real interesting one. Looks like Hilary is going to jump into this race. With over $81 B from BLM funneled into the last couple of election cycles I am confident there will be no cheating this next cycle./s
Keep an eye out for Tides.
We push the boundaries with every dollar and idea to fuel real and lasting change.
So, the “official” explanation from Twitter is that the response overwhelmed the servers until they brought more on line, after which everything performed brilliantly – including DeSantis.
He was great, and there were no glitches after the initial server meltdown.
Try to remember that the primaries are not a death match.
We have a deep bench, and several really great candidates running. The D’s do not.
Don’t box yourself into become a D supporter out of personal hatred for an R contender that doesn’t get the nomination.
He made a fake “Trump” ad to get elected in 2018. He admits it. He used Trump and MAGA to get elected then.
Nonsense. DeSantis won on his own merits, and because Andrew Gillum wanted Florida to be a sanctuary state. Trump’s bizarre whining about being owed the Presidency has turned off many two time voters like me.
He won by how many votes? 33? Yea look who we was running against. In a red state since 98. DeSantis squeaked by barely. Stop pretending he “Won” on his merit.
I miss the K on 33, it should be 33K votes. Less than 1% of all the votes. In a red state, that is not saying much for merit.
Let’s back up a minute. Why is DeSantis running for President equivalent to stabbing Trump in the back? If they both have desire, principle, and backbone, they should both be up for the challenge and “may the best man win.” Especially if it is for the good of the country.
I know that sounds very idealistic and naive, but it seems that this take should at least have a little bit of truth. Seems a little cowardly to not want someone to run. Like playing a ball game and hoping a good player on the other team gets sick and can’t play against me.
Guess I won’t be voting for president in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections. I’m tired of voting for the “least worst candidate”. And that’s what we’ve got with either Trump, DeSantis or anyone that the democrat party might nominate as candidate. The least worst candidates. So I’ll do something I never thought I’d do. For the first time since I was old enough to vote I’ll simply leave the presidential ballot section blank. I will vote for no one. I will not vote for Trump. (Did that twice and won’t give him a third.). I will not vote for DeSantis. And I definitely won’t vote for anyone that the democrat party nominates. So unless something significantly change between now and election day my vote will be not to vote.
Oh and look. The drive by down voter has struck again and down voted me without a comment. Really do wish this comment system allowed to see who up voted and down voted you. Guess some people around here don’t think anyone else should have an opinion of their own.
Well, Trump sucks. DeSantis sucks. Biden sucks. They all suck and I’m done voting for the least worst sucky candidate. If those are the only people who want the presidency then God help us because nobody else will.
In voting for the least worst candidate you can hope to get some lube and a reach around while getting pounded. The other d/prog will pound you dry w/o a reach around and lecture you about privilege while they do it.
You nailed it God help us because nobody else will!
Trump’s personal responses to DeSantis don’t seem to be helpful to Trump. If Trump seeks to bring back former Trump supporters, he needs to aim considerably higher. The cutting one-liners have had their day.
Trump was a great candidate in 2016 and a great president until he trusted Fauci & Co with Covid policies and agreed with the need for an economic shutdown-His policies were great as were his judicial appointments but he had no tails in 2018, 2020 or 2022 with respect to the House and Senate. To paraphrase Michael Jordan in response to a question about Patrick Ewing and the Knicks losing in the finals when he tried playing baseball and said in classic Jordan fashion that “he had his chance.” If you want to win and effectuate change in DC , vote for DeSantis.
Trump trust sucked and it started way before Fauci. It started with Pence as VP and Jeff Sessions. What a disappointment. I follow Session and thought he would be great. Bill Barr – come on.
Argh, and people think the Left has bogarted all the Kool-Aid.
If Trump is selected, he’s going to lose and lose big, because the voting dynamic has changed. As long as mail in voting is allowed, he won’t win.
And crying about it won’t change a thing, we tried to challenge it in the courts and look where it got us.
Ok guys, look, Trump and De S have both been solid fighters for the cause, unlike an endless line of wusses in the past. They’re at odds in a primary run-up.
A few points:
Trump showed republicans how to fight. Period. I’ll always appreciate him for that.
De S has shown himself to be a fighter and I like him.
They’ve rightly supported each other in the past. And I hope will in the future.
There’s nothing wrong with De S throwing his name in the ring. Trump acts like he’s entitled and it’s a personal insult to him and is looking to nuke De S’s face off. I’d like it if Trump could be a little more classy-take the high road, but he won’t / can’t and that’s too bad.
I love Trump but he’s got huge baggage, some fair and some very unfair.
For that reason, I’d vote for De S now. But whoever wins I will support 100%.
Where am I off here?
Seems to me that you nailed it. A lot if us feel the same way
Kari Lake had the best take recently when she said to the press, Ron DeSantis can’t even beat Donald Duck ( Disney Lawsuits), How does Ron plan to beat Donald Trump?
Any reason you keep posting this same thing? It’s not as clever as you seem to think it is: DeSantis did beat Disney, hear them whining about his policies? See any Disney statements on the falsely-renamed “Don’t Say Gay” bill? Yeah, me, either. As to the Florida legislature voting to end Disney’s little state fiefdom within our state, that was the right thing to do. Should have been done decades ago.
Kari Lake may have lost a lot of support by taking sides in the Presidential primary, when she needs all the support she can get. And when it comes to winning lawsuits, she should take a breath, consider her own record, and stick to losing lawsuits in Arizona.
