J6 ‘QAnon Shaman’ Jacob Chansley Secures Early Release from Federal Prison

J6 ‘QAnon Shaman’ Jacob Chansley Secures Early Release from Federal Prison

His current lawyer: “Let me make something CLEAR. The videos released and played on Fox News DID NOT play a role in any “early release” for Jake Chansely.”

Jacob Chansley, who entered a guilty plea in September 2021 and received a 41-month federal prison sentence, was released 14 months ahead of schedule.

Recently, footage aired on the Tucker Carlson show depicted him being escorted by police officers inside the Capitol, a video Chansley’s lawyer (no longer his lawyer) claimed to have never seen at the time. After viewing the footage, Elon Musk even took to Twitter, calling for Chansley’s freedom. Consequently, many have argued that his punishment was unwarranted.

Although the coincidental timing suggests that the video’s release influenced Chansley’s early release, it appears that the decision was already in motion before the footage became public.

However, former federal prosecutor Neama Ramani, the president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told that it was unlikely the intense scrutiny on Chansley’s case had any impact on his early release.

‘I don’t think it has anything to do with media [or] public pressure,’ said Ramani, who is not connected with the case.

He noted that release of inmates to halfway houses for the final 12 months of their sentences was ‘kind of routine for the Bureau of Prisons,’ particularly for inmates without a lengthy criminal history.

Chansley’s current lawyer also tweeted that the videos “DID NOT play a role in any “early release” for Jake Chansely.”

The takeaway from Pelosi’s Precedent (PP) in the Capitol Hill fire: in order to mitigate progress of Whitmer-events, do not enter doors opened, do not follow police escort, beware Democrat “heroes”, be attentive to rugs pulled from underfoot

‘I don’t think it has anything to do with media [or] public pressure,’ said Ramani, who is not connected with the case.

Well if it didn’t it’s one hell of a coincidence that it happens with weeks of suppressed exculpatory video evidence being released.

I’d be interested to know whether shipwreckedcrew (does this guy have a real name, Staff?) was getting any traction BEFORE it became obvious that the house had gone Republican. If not, then I suspect the swamp was just getting out ahead of the inevitable exposé.

    There are no coincidences.

This was the left poster child for staying in line Plebs.

You should mention the Insurrection in Tennessee.

False arrest and malicious prosecution. He needs to sue.

He pleaded guilty after 317 days in solitary confinement.

Now that man needs a Presidential Pardon to wipe the stain of this malicious prosecution from him. He won’t get the time that lost back but he can at least not be a felon.

What are the legal ethics of this kind of public pissing contest?

Defendants appeal all the time on the grounds of “inadequate counsel.” This requires their lawyers to assert this same claim on their behalf. There’s no way you can avoid the resulting lese majeste. It’s part of the well-understood dance.

Thanks. So, lawyer to lawyer, it’s kinda “It’s just business.”

Also no liability, govt prosecution, or bar assn tromping in with their big muddy feet. Tho they may try, under some new theory. New theory seems to be all the rage these days.

He wasn’t one of the violent rioters and got railroaded as one because he looked strange and the media found it easy to frame him.

Fortunately the media doesn’t rule everything and I am glad he is out.

Hopefully nobody will ever delude themselves into thinking a D.C. mass rally is a good idea again.

With this happening at the same time as Trump’s indictment, what is the “progressive” view of our “democracy”? I figure their heads might be exploding:

“Oh no! The insurrectionist with the Magic Helmet has been turned loose! Democracy will diediediedie!!!”

“Hurrah! Democracy is saved! The walls are closing in on Trump” (fap fap fap…).

The “early release” of an excessively sentenced guy who entered the Capitol is interesting, but doesn’t absolve the Blue Cheka (fka FBI) or the Soviet-style prosecutors at DOJ. There are still hundreds of Americans whose rights were trampled by Democrat Reich operatives. Plus, the abuses will happen again because the abusers believe their Red Guard tactics work.

The sentence was always an abuse of the mentally ill.
