Biden Admin Tried To Hide CCP Spy Balloon, Finally Shoots It Down After It Traverses Entire Nation

“Team Biden became aware of the balloon on Jan. 28, Bloomberg reported, when it was spotted over Alaska.”

Can the Biden administration get worse and be more of a complete clown show? Apparently so. Chinese Communist Party balloons are wafting through American (and Latin American) airspace completely undeterred because . . . well, we can all only speculate about what the “big guy” was thinking.

Here’s our previous coverage:

Apparently, the Biden admin hoped no one would notice or that it would not be picked up by the Democrat activist media if it were noticed.

The New York Post reports:

President Biden and his administration knew for nearly a week that a Chinese spy balloon was hovering in U.S. airspace — but kept the incursion secret, fearing it would derail Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Republicans expressed “outrage” over the president’s refusal to act.

“Communist China’s surveillance balloon violates international law and threatens our homeland,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island) told The Post.

“It’s an outrage that the Biden Administration spotted this balloon days ago as it was flying over the Aleutian Islands and did nothing about it,” she said. “The president has not even made a comment about this unacceptable act of aggression by the CCP.”

The politics of the looming 2024 presidential election also played a role in Biden’s actions, sources told Bloomberg, with the fraught US-China relationship expected to be a central foreign policy issue.

Team Biden became aware of the balloon on Jan. 28, Bloomberg reported, when it was spotted over Alaska.

The US military tracked it as it flew into Canadian airspace, then re-entered American skies on Tuesday. The next day, Biden received a detailed briefing on the balloon and its course, attended by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.

Oh, great, with those two on the case, we’ll have 99 CCP aloft balloons in our airspace in no time. But it seems these three destroyers of America’s national security have put their anti-American grey matter together and determined that the optics are just not good.

Time to “take care of it.” Reportedly by shooting it down . . . somewhere off the coast of the Carolinas.

NBC News reports:

President Joe Biden said Saturday that his administration would “take care” of the Chinese spy balloon that has been hovering over the U.S. in the past few days, when asked by a reporter as he deplaned Air Force One.

“We’re going to take care of it,” Biden said, the first time he had spoken on camera about the balloon, NBC News reported. He did not say what his administration planned to do.

The Associated Press reported meanwhile that the administration is considering a plan to shoot the balloon down once it is above the Atlantic Ocean where the remnants could potentially be recovered, according to four U.S. officials. The officials spoke to The AP on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive operation.

The officials told The AP that it was unclear whether a final decision had been made by Biden.

The Federal Aviation Administration said Saturday afternoon that it was pausing departures and arrivals at three airports, in North and South Carolina, to support the Department of Defense in a “national security effort.”

“The FAA has paused departures from and arrivals to Wilmington (ILM), Myrtle Beach International (MYR) and Charleston International (CHS) airports to support the Department of Defense in a national security effort,” it said in a statement.

The balloon is suspected of conducting surveillance on the U.S. military.

Apparently (as I was prepping this post), the Biden administration decided to shoot it down and has done so.

This is a national security disaster of the first order, and Biden looks like an addled and worthless leader (or worse a stooge of the CCP) for permitting Communist China to fly unimpeded across the entire expanse of our great country (from Alaska, apparently, all the way to the Carolinas). What a disgrace.

Chinese spokesman Sum Ting Wong, claimed that Dementia Joe had given China permission for the balloon to spy across the entire country. Biden claimed he couldn’t remember and was unable to explain why his pants were on backwards.

Wong added, “At long last we finally got value for all the money we paid Hunter and The Big Guy.”

Quisling Biden is on China’s payroll for millions every year. They are pretending that China hired his drug addict son to manage their $1.5 billion investment fund. However, seeing that no one in their right mind would hire Hunter for this position as he is a drug addict and has no education or experience relevant to the job. Furthermore, as n “10% was reserve for the big guy” ie Joe Biden it’s obvious that it is a way to. funnel bribes to Joe Biden.

ScottTheEngineer | February 4, 2023 at 4:11 pm

I’d actually be a little disappointed if the Chinese didn’t already have blueprints of all the U.S. bases. Whats a photograph going to do? They have satellites flying over all the time.
What was the balloon filled with ? What kind of mold, germs or invasive plant seeds were in it?

Yes, it does seem unlikely they don’t already have sat images of everything they could see from the balloon. I don’t know what balloons (or similar looking) objects might be fitted with, though, and now they know they can fly right across the entire nation while Biden is in the WH. Very worrying.

There is plenty of transmissions and data that they can pick up at 60k feet that they couldn’t monitor from satellites.

Not to mention that yes, there is a BIG difference in what you can see from 60k feet.

60k feet is only 11 miles. Most satellites are 100+ miles up. There’s a HUGE difference in what you can see and identify getting that much closer.

Wow, thanks! I know nothing about this kind of thing, so I appreciate the response. I get my “information” from tv, so I think I had this impression that sat images could see contents on the screen of a laptop or a zit on someone’s nose. Obviously, I know better than to believe that without researching it, but I wasn’t sure how off-base it was. 🙂

Short answer: seeing is one thing, hearing is another.

These are good questions. somebody needs to find out if there were any kind of biological agents associated with this balloon.

Montana to the Carolinas? Skip the deserts, badlands, and cities… just a nice, long cropdusting tour of America’s agricultural heartland.

“Biden looks like an addled and worthless leader (or worse a stooge of the CCP)”
Good. Because he is and always has been. And this time, the press failed to cover his ass for him… probably because since January 21 they’ve all been directed not to.

At this point, the Republicans would be doing the Democrats’ dirty work by impeaching Brandon. Perhaps they should take a tip from the extra-stern sadist who refused to beat his masochist.

It was shot down after it had accomplished it’s mission. The Chinese said they are very thankful for allowing them to fly their balloon over the entire length of the US, from coast to coast, sea to shining sea, before doing anything.

Joe Biden is so thoroughly and completely incompetent that he is an embarrassment to the entire world. He has proven to be the greatest threat to the safety and welfare of the American people through his incapacity to be an actual leader.

MattMusson in reply to Paula. | February 4, 2023 at 5:47 pm

Joe Biden] finally shot the balloon down because it was drifting toward Ukraine!

Shooting it down out over the Atlantic also guaranteed the debris would not be picked up by the “wrong” people, i.e., the American public, thus with documentary evidence of its Chinese origin.
We don’t need to know where the balloon came from.
We don’t need to know where the virus came from.
We don’t need to know nuttin.

The good news is the lightning fast response of the pentagon. Biden gave the order to shoot it down on Wednesday and the pentagon carried out the order on Saturday. When the incoming missles are minutes away, the pentagon will respond within days.

And then only after phoning China and telling them what we’re about to do.

Millie: Hello Gen Wong, this is Millie.

        Gen Wong: Millie Who?

Millie: You know, Millie the Never Trumper

Gen Wong: Oh yes, did you get the check we sent you?

Millie: Yes. It was very generous. I wanted to warn you that we are going to shoot down your balloon. Did you get all the data you need?

Gen Wong: Yes we did. Go ahead and shoot it down.

        Millie: And my check?

Gen Wong: It’s in the mail.

FrankJNatoli in reply to Paula. | February 5, 2023 at 7:10 am

      Right.
I have little doubt that Biden and company asked USAF “what can you do”.
And USAF immediately replied with confirmation that the balloon could be shot down anytime the President ordered.
And then Biden and company reviewed the political consequences of shooting it down, and some [expletive deleted] noted the problem with the debris being recovered by the general public and showing up on Eyewitness News.
And then Biden and company said “let’s wait until it’s over the Atlantic”, which is what happened.

healthguyfsu in reply to FrankJNatoli. | February 4, 2023 at 9:02 pm

Uhhh China already admitted it was theirs.

If President Trump had allowed such a balloon( especially if it had been Russian) to fly over the continental USA the Democrats would have filed for impeachment almost immediately ( only delaying long enough to hold press conferences to denounce the violation of our air space by President Trump). And it would have been legitimate unlike their other impeachment efforts.

Did anybody wake Joe up from his Saturday afternoon nap in his Delaware basement to tell him ?

What can you say? It’s the Biden way. The wrong way, whether intentional or unwitting, and always with a touch of corruption and cruelty for addes taste. Probably the sleaziest politician in U.S. history. Not only Xi’s puppet, but Obama’s.

henrybowman in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | February 4, 2023 at 5:33 pm

Biden is the perfect Bizarro president. He unerringly finds exactly the wrong solution to every problem.

Kill our energy industry, shut the entire country down for months over a flu bug, open our borders to any and all invaders, teach our military men and women that they’re oppressors and then fire the best ones, staff high positions with the mentally compromised, leave $80B of high-tech military hardware in the hands of our sworn enemies, start a possibly nuclear war with Russia, piss our country’s wealth into the Crimea, and now allow hostile Chinese aircraft to roam our country for as long as they feel like it.

It’s too bad Biden is in charge, instead of those J6 provocateurs who are probably really in charge anyway. Because those guys would know how to run a country. Like Heinrich Mueller.

I’m voting for Ray Epps for President in 2024. And really, so are you.

God these idiots are so pathetic.

Shooting it down AFTER it already passed by the entire US does nothing but make them look even MORE like incompetent liars.

If the balloon was no big deal in the first place, then you can’t possibly justify shooting it down AFTER it went over the US.

And if, as they claim, it was ‘too risky’ to shoot it down (what a freaking joke – there were a dozen points where it was nowhere near any populated area it could have been safely destroyed), then it should have been shot down before it ever got to the US.

And if they DIDN’T KNOW about it (they did), then that makes them look even MORE incompetent because they can’t even track a huge slow-moving airborne craft!

This entire thing demonstrates the utter incompetence and cowardice of Biden and his entire military leadership.

Exactly. Our airspace doesn’t start at our physical border (i.e. populated areas), so none of this makes any sense at all.

Ghostrider in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | February 4, 2023 at 9:39 pm

It doesn’t make sense, unless the balloon was ours. What if the entire balloon story was designed to take the Biden Family corruption and business scandals, the Project Veritas Pfizer scandal, and Biden’s stolen classified documents off the headline narratives, at least for a few days before the SOTU address?

After rescuing Fang Fang from Swallwells evil clutches – hopefully Phileas(Fong) avoided all this and he and Fang Fang are on way to London to collect the 20000 pounds.

Oh and now Biden is out BSing about how he ‘told them to shoot it down on Wednesday’, but they had to wait until it was ‘safe’.

In his drooling dementia mind that makes him look ‘tough’.

He literally doesn’t understand that makes him look like even MORE of a weak, pathetic jackass that isn’t in charge and has no respect from those that are supposed to be below him.

You told them to shoot it down, and then they waited FOUR DAYS, until they couldn’t possibly put it off any longer to finally do it? They’re actually going to keep claiming that there was no point in its entire journey that it couldn’t have been shot down over an unpopulated area with minimal risk?

He is just so utterly pathetic.

As I mentioned previously:

Have you ever been in northeastern Montana? It’s pretty much sagebrush desert, with one of the lowest population densities in the lower 48. Straight-line distance from the Canadian border to Billings is just over 200 miles, with plenty of totally empty space (aside from a few cattle). Their excuse of not wanting it to come down on a populated area was transparent BS.

Not to mention the fact that it’s a frickin’ BALLOON. It’s effective weight is exactly zero, and it’s going to have been made from the most light-weight low-density materials possible. It’s been mostly at around 60,000 ft, and the (publicly stated) operational ceiling of an F15 is 65,000 feet. You don’t have to make the thing explode, and the speed with which it would descend would depend on how MANY holes you poke in the thing. Poke just a few holes, it comes down slowly. Poke a lot of holes, it comes down faster. Blow up the balloon envelope and the payload crashes to the ground at terminal velocity (whatever that would be).

So they could have picked a nice piece of empty prairie, poked a bunch of holes, and then watched it slowly descend over the course of an hour (or a few hours) and recovered it completely intact…unless the ChiComs have it rigged with a self-destruct, in which case it really wouldn’t matter.

Have you noticed HOW they brought it down? Looks like a missile strike to me, but I’ll leave that to the experts. And dropping at high velocity into the ocean 15 or 20 miles offshore pretty much guarantees that they won’t recover anything intact, regardless of what its payload was.

    Couldn’t have said better

    thetaqjr in reply to Blackwing1. | February 4, 2023 at 11:22 pm

Whatever its faults might be, it is more than just a frickin’ balloon. 60,000 feet high, range at least 6000 miles, it took an F-something to shoot it down, it maintained structural integrity until then, it was more than a frickin’ balloon.

Word is it was taken out by an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile fired from an F-22 Raptor. I could be mistaken, but I think this is the first time the F-22 has been used in an air-to-air engagement with an enemy target.

There is more to this story than we know and we only know what those in DC have said…WH or Pentagon or pols taking their usual places in the argument. I suspect all that do know are happy to let this play that way and by Monday morning it will all die down. We the people have been lied to and deceived so much post 9-11 that I trust little coming out of DC, at least through the first couple of story lines. .

Paula in reply to Whitewall. | February 4, 2023 at 6:35 pm

You won’t know the rest of the story until the classified documents are discovered in Biden’s garage fifteen or twenty years from now.

Does anyone here think this is the worst thing the Biden administration has done? It’s just the most symbolic and visible.

walls in reply to gibbie. | February 4, 2023 at 7:31 pm

It’s a close 2nd. The worst thing the Biden administration has done is steal the 2020 election. Stolen elections have consequences.

Assumptions – Biden is a “basket case”; the military knew about the balloon long before it got to Alaska; even Biden’s political operatives at the lowest level would know that shooting it down immediately and having him go on national TV would look very good and boost his ratings, with the opposite conduct damaging him.

Occam’s Razor – the simplest explanation is best. Here the simplest explanation may be that everyone but Dr. Jill is in on getting rid of Biden, even at the expense of national security.

    Andy in reply to jb4. | February 5, 2023 at 12:17 am

You underestimate the rot in all that is supposed to be solid, secure and sacred.

Believe me when I say DIE has infiltrated places where it will cost us in ways that were completely avoidable.

Impeachment – Let’s think about that for a moment. What does that really do? Trump was impeached, more than once. Did it really affect him? I don’t think so. In order for an impeachment to really have any affect, it has to be followed with a conviction. After conviction, he must be removed from office. Do we really want Kamalahaladingdong occupying the oval office?

As the saying goes…Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!

Ghostrider in reply to Thinker. | February 4, 2023 at 9:43 pm

There are two other alternatives in this regard; Joe resigns first and Kamala is subsequently impeached; both Joe and Kamala are forced to resign, allowing McCarthy to become president.

Warriors. Shot them slap in the back. After the rape and pillage, Helena to Savanna, was it Sherman who advised Bismarck, kill them all, kill everyone who has not sot fire? Kill them all.

The “errors” of this administration (sensu lato) are way beyond incomepetence.

Borders, Afghanistan, inflation, Covid policy, double standards by the DOJ, Hunter’s protection squad, parents being subject to FBI investigation, balloon, etc.

This is deliberate.

    diver64 in reply to Brian. | February 5, 2023 at 6:41 am

Seems a little strange, doesn’t it? Biden and Hunter take millions from the Chinese. Biden abandons Afghanistan leaving billions in equipment and a nice airbase which China immediately took over letting them have all those rare earth minerals, Hunter has access to classified documents Joe pilfered while Senator and Vice President and some were stored at his “think tank” which just happened to get over $50,000,000 from Chinese sources with who knows who had access or what they contained, Biden is elected and promptly stops a number of mining operations leaving us dependent on China for those minerals which are essential to solar panels and EV batterie manufacturing. Now China is the only real source for that green nonsense. He then causes an oil shortage driving up oil prices which leads to him draining our strategic reserve to try and lower the prices and also sends millions of barrels straight to a Chinese Oil Company controlled by the Chinese Party which just happened to be linked to people that paid Hunter millions of bucks. Now a spy balloon is left to drift across the US which Biden trying to cover it up.
I think I have this correct and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture for our corrupt Foreign Agent President.

No. Trying to discover if some American male was actually having missionary sex with Rachel Levine.

They found the track …

    diver64 in reply to thetaqjr. | February 5, 2023 at 6:43 am

You should get the ban hammer for that. In fact, for putting that idea into our heads I think being expelled from our country might not be too harsh.

Intent was to provoke the obvious response. Response will be used as justification for escalation which Biden is not prepared to handle. Every man should know his limits, and with Biden those limits end at putting his pants on in the morning.

Had the Chinese been really crafty- there’d be weaponized virus in there- so the prize you win for dropping it would get the next pandemic. A pandemic that would only happen by shooting it down over land.

Best response would have been to take it back over the pacific and bring it down offshore early on. Study it on a barge, but never let that typhoid mary machine near land.

henrybowman in reply to Andy. | February 5, 2023 at 1:01 am

“with Biden those limits end at putting his pants on in the morning.”
Actually, they end with his shoes — he never has figured out how to get his pants on over them.

Olinser in reply to Andy. | February 5, 2023 at 2:26 am

IF that is the case (I’m more inclined to think this was just China publicly punking the Biden administration and demonstrating just how dithering and weak he was), IF that is the case, then Biden chose literally the worst option possible – letting it fly over the entire US, and THEN taking the bait and shooting it down when there was no possible way it could be of any more use to China.

If it were serious enough to shoot it down, there is ZERO possible justification for letting it get all the way off the east coast before doing it. The ‘safety’ excuse is a joke, there are plenty of points across its flight path that would have posed zero risk to shit it down over.

Andy in reply to Olinser. | February 5, 2023 at 5:20 pm

      Yep- he chose the worst.

I stand corrected—- never letting it enter US airspace and quickly pulling it out of US airspace would have been better.

Jamming / EMP would also have been good too prior to engagement if for nothing else than to see if they shielded it. I would hope we’ve got the ability to hit it something with the radio gun at altitude.

I posted yesterday or Friday in a few places that Brandon&Co might be waiting for it to go over the ocean so it could be shot down and recovered not destroyed by hitting the ground. Looks like that is what is going on. I’m sure all the military bases in it’s path were entirely locked down so nothing useful that couldn’t already be seen from satellites was learned. It also kept secret our ability to see things like this, how fast it was seen and our actual response if it were hostile aircraft or missiles.

This should be brought up not only to the Chinese Ambassador with a possible expulsion for a time, a hearing in the UN to embarrass the Chinese and the next time one of these comes anywhere close to the US or it’s airspace shot down immediately.

The last pieces are in place and it all makes sense. It looks like a 100% successful intelligence collection mission, and no, the target wasn’t missile silos that have been in place for generations, or military bases in the Midwest. Its secondary mission to fly it at this precise moment may well have been to take attention away from the Bidens, but the primary mission appears to be ELINT/COMINT.

The key thing to remember is what we’ve known all along. We’re governed by traitors. Once you remember that, you can come to the conclusion that this mission was planned and executed perfectly.

SField nailed it above. The target was East Coast air defenses, and specifically the F-22 and current Sidewinder ELINT signatures, both of which are invaluable to the Chinese. They will now be able to track and identify the F-22 in combat mode by its electronic signature. So much for “stealth”. The cherry on the cake, of course, is the fact that they shot it down in shallow coastal water, where it most probably will be recovered by a Chinese recovery ship that “just happens” to be loitering in that area. A perfectly executed mission, with the full aid and connivance of our own government. Now you know why they didn’t shoot it down using an F-16.

Now watch. The reaction is going to be, effectively, zero.

Steven Brizel | February 5, 2023 at 9:29 am

It should have been shot down immediately

If I were China, I’d assume it would be shot down so I’d build it with an altimeter bomb to blow up all onboard instruments upon falling elevation, say 30,000 feet to have a large debris field of tiny pieces.

The White House treats every situation like a political game, lies thru omission to try & avoid having to explain their initial response, then bows to public opinion, followed by acting like that was their plan all along.

GP: “Now the US military is concerned they may not reach the balloon wreckage before China can. The balloon was shot down 6 miles off the coast of Carolina.”

Clown World just can’t stop turning.

BierceAmbrose | February 6, 2023 at 2:40 pm

Well of course they did. They had to protect state military secrets. Not ours, like missile silos. Theirs we could extract from the gear, if it dropped on land.
