“What prompted them to look for Joe Biden’s classified documents?”

“What prompted them to look for Joe Biden’s classified documents?”

Rep. Jim Jordan’s question gets to the heart of how the Biden classified records scandal may be more than it seems.

Sometimes the simplest questions get to the heart of the matter. Rep. Jim Jordan, who will be leading investigations of Biden family corruption and influence peddling, asked just such a simple question as to Joe Biden’s classified document problem.

So Jordan asked on Twitter:

“What prompted them to look for Joe Biden’s classified documents?”

As you recall, lawyers for Biden searched boxes as Biden’s U.Penn. office and found classified documents. But why did they search there and open the boxes? Why lawyers, and why those boxes? They could have just moved the boxes.

And why did they then search Biden’s Delaware home, and find classified documents three times – in the garage, and twice in Biden’s personal office (we think).

There’s more here than meets the eye.

But not to the Twitter Legal Resistance. Lawyer Brad Moss said it’s simply voluntary self-reporting.

But that’s a dodge – why were they looking in boxes in the first place?

The answer to that question will reveal a lot.

Absolutely, Andy. As Biden sinks, we’ll begin to see Kamala being pushed out front in situations making her look composed and in control. She won’t be allowed to say any more stupid things in public. Dems expect her to win the primary and general election in Nov 2024 by using the Obama election playbook. Anyone not vocally supporting Kamala will be an anti-woman racist.

Thus NEITHER of her parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth, the key essential she qua nin factor determining her status. And NOT Natural Born disqualifies her.

KH doesn’t have the PR skills required to win the Presidency on her own. It is not a matter of intelligence, but ability to communicate with voters. She just ain’t got it, and I doubt that ballot harvesting will be enough to get her over the finish line.

KH doesn’t have the PR skills required to win the Presidency . . .

Neither did Biden. But he was successfully shoehorned into the White House.

This is not about 2023–this is about Election 2024. Biden and Kamala are going to be out and someone else (probably Newsom) will be the golden child of the Democrat Party.

Biden was completely compromised coming into the picture. Obama let him rip off America and sell military secrets to the Communist Chinese because it suited Obama’s interests as well. In other words, they’re both traitors in the literal sense of the word. Throw in the Clintons, Pelosi, Kerry, McConnell and Schumer and you have all the tier I American traitors.

    Their handlers? Xi.

    When will impeachments begin? (McCarthy?)

My guess is the WH lawyers went searching for documents because Biden’s legal team received several document requests from the US Attorney or the Grand Jury in Delaware where Hunter is under investigation.

While your theory is very plausible, has there been any connection drawn between the Penn Biden Center and Hunter Biden? I could understand it if they found those type of documents first at the house then gone out and done a sweep of all of Joe’s possible stash locations. Then again maybe they did submit documents from the house but we weren’t told about under the guise of an active grand jury proceeding.

      stevie in reply to buck61. | January 17, 2023 at 8:32 am

I believe Hunter Biden was involved in putting the deal together with Penn Center and establishing Joe Biden’s “think tank” ( that seems like an oxymoron, with the emphasis on “moron”). I just read that this morning, but I can’t remember where.

has there been any connection drawn between the Penn Biden Center and Hunter Biden?

Well, it’s been in the news recently that young Hunter was a resident at big Joe’s house (where the Corvette is locked up with the classified docs) paying $50K/month for the privilege of living there. Is that enough connection?

    🎯 DING! DING! DING!

What prompted them? The answer is quite simple. They looked at their calendars and it said “Today is the day we find Joe’s classified documents.” They already knew where they were, they just were waiting for the right time to “find them”.

So the real question is, “Why did they find them now?”

#FJB <-- Disco Stu_ in reply to Paula. | January 17, 2023 at 8:31 am

    Or they were simply planted.

Classified documents are all serialized and have to formally checked out. There is always a record of who last had custody of the document. These documents had to be signed for by either Joe Biden or a staffer working for Biden when he was VP. Unless of course they were Xerox copies, which in itself is highly illegal.

Voluntary self reporting normally involves a coherent professionally prepared statement for the WH press secretary.

I dare Mr Moss to discover any of the above.

That’s if you take their self-reporting — which stinks on ice — at face value.

I, for one, don’t believe a word of it. Someone came across these documents a hell of a lot earlier, had the requisite ohshit reaction, and passed it up the party reporting chain, whereupon they were Farley-filed to be used later as components of another DNC-brand Rube Goldberg political frame.

The ball is in McCarthy’s court.

It does not bode well for us.

It’s been more than an open secret that to most if them Joe Biden did his job in getting rid of Trump, but no way did they ever want him standing for reelection.

Democrats were out to get Trump from 2016. Losing the house in the midterms, Dems shifted into 4 wheel drive in 2018 to destroy Trump for 2020.

Fast forward to 2022 – Dems lost the house to the Reps, who seem keen to return the favor. Can the old coot withstand a 2 year long political colonoscopy and still win in 2024?

Joe and Hunter, et al, will be eviscerated between now and 2024. Dems are trying to save face and remove him before he loses any more of the house (and presidency) for them. He’s done.

What I wonder – will Biden play hard ball with them? I.e., threaten to take everyone down by ratting them out – just to save his own skin? Political Mexican standoff?

I suspect that Dementia Joe won’t make it to the 2024 election even if he does run. I am actually surprised he has lasted this long. Probably a MERS-SARS2 recombinant hybrid will “emerge”, and it will get rid of Joey and initiate a new virus panic.

I confess, I occasionally go out to my garage to look for something and find something else that I thought I’d thrown out, or lost, or thought I’d never need again. Occasionally it’s all three reasons rolled together.

When I do, I voluntarily inform my wife. She has a good chuckle at my expense.

So Mr. Moss just might be in chuckle mode — but this isn’t a case of Mr. Biden stumbling on classified documents while looking for his long, lost power drill. Who went to the garage in the first place, and what were they looking for, is the correct question to ask.

The right question is what inspired the high-priced lawyers to go looking. The earlier post that it could be related to the Delaware investigation of Hunter has merit. My view has been that the Dems knew they would lose the House and there would be a real investigation of Hunter. So, the lawyers went looking for any Hunter-related items to “deep-six”. They came across these classified ones, which probably no one had any idea were there, and certainly not Slow Joe. The lawyers were not going to stick their necks out on those documents – so here we are.

The follow up question is why did the lawyers not bring in the Feds to search the other places after the first discovery (of a crime) and the long time lags over disclosure. That would seem to be more consistent with my motive – keep looking for Hunter stuff – than to burying Joe with classified documents.

      The_Mew_Cat in reply to jb4. | January 17, 2023 at 11:19 am

That is possible. They could have been looking for Hunter’s crack pipes, dope stash, or other evidence of criminality. It is also possible that some witnesses reported those documents as being there, so they couldn’t simply make them go away. They have to gather them up and return them.

It was EVERYONE’S Question…

Literally EVERYONE

There is talk that this is a diversionary tactic because something bigger is in the works. It has t be pretty big because what Biden has done is a felony. I was the intelligence officer for my Marine squadron and I had to sign out anything classified that I used to inform my fellow pilots. Even old WWII combat movies that have secret things were still classified as Secret. If I had lost any one of these items I would have been is very serious trouble. Of course, the military is where the law still applies.

Yes, I was looking for that article too. There is only one person’s reporting I trust on all things January 6 and that’s Julie Kelly. My assertion is that the protesters were not acting in ways the Feds wanted them to so they instigated a fight with them to get the reaction they wanted. And my view is that if someone visits violence upon you wheb you have done nothing to warrant such provocation you have every right to use force to defend yourself, including against law enforcement.

I’ll call one of your detractors out by name: Fuzzy Slippers owes you an apology. After calling me out about not treating other conservatives as enemies, even though I did not, she up and maligned your name. So at the very least she owes you an apology.

Milhouse in reply to gonzotx. | January 17, 2023 at 6:22 pm

Nothing in the linked article is evidence of any of your claims. A columnist’s claim that unspecified “previously-released footage and eyewitness accounts indicate” something is not evidence; it’s only as good as that columnist’s credibility, which you have not established.

chrisboltssr in reply to Milhouse. | January 17, 2023 at 9:21 pm

Except Julie Kelly did talk to those eyewitness accounts ans they confirmed what they saw. The article did substantiate gonzo’s claims, but you continue to hold on to the narrative as presented by the Leftists, perhaps because you can’t believe your own government would intentionally set up the citizens for persecution.

Someone, I think it was Henry, linked to a very disturbing video in that thread, and I do think Julie Kelly has been doing good work on the J6 political prisoners. If this did happen as is now being reported, it’s an outrage of the first order, particularly the cover-up.

But it’s not nearly as outrageous as my doubting your word (which is honestly based on your posting here at LI untruths and wild rumors you’ve read on substandard sites). Credibility matters, so when (say) Henry posts something, I give it more weight. It’s kind of like how we view everything we hear, we consider the source as well as our own understanding of the topic. If this one thing turns out to be true, that doesn’t change anything, though. Blind squirrels, broken clocks, etc.

Something I have never seen addressed is how and when did the documents arrive at the Penn Biden Center, euphemistically referred to as a think tank. Biden left office in January 2017. There was a gap between the end of his Vice Presidency and the opening of the Center. So those documents had to be somewhere else and then relocated to the center. Where were they, who moved them, when, and why?

henrybowman in reply to bev. | January 17, 2023 at 2:10 am

If you want to answer all these questions at once, I bet the One Ring that Rules Them All is the answer to: WHAT were they?

Yes, and might that “what” be documents that shine some light on certain father/son dealings with certain foreign countries?

Did the FBI test the classified documents for fingerprints and DNA? Were traces of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden found on the documents?

The documents in question are transcripts of Bill Clintons meeting with Loretta Lynch that Hunter took by mistake.
He thought they were classic country lyrics.

If they were moving boxes as Brandon claims I don’t think it’s a stretch for the people to see what was in the box. The real question is why were lawyers doing it and who were they? We know one was an Obama team member and not a bit player either

Victor Immature | January 17, 2023 at 4:42 am

Sounds like that age-old hockey tactic of sending out a chippy player, not an obvious goon, to harass the opposing teams most talented player. a few slashes. 2 handers, tension boils over a skirmish arises and matching penalties. Mediocrity sacificed to take their guy off the ice.

Equally interesting, I would think, is the question of why the National Archives never sought the return of those documents for six years, not did the FBI investigate their whereabouts. Trump kept classified documents at home after leaving office and they were all over him like white on rice. Biden has them for six years and nobody says “boo” until he voluntarily returns them.

Steven Brizel | January 17, 2023 at 6:08 am

Just like LBJ and Andrew Cuomo Biden has become a liability because he has been exposed by the Twitter files as using censorship both during the campaign and on a variety of issues and because the issue of who donated at least 22M and possibly as much as 54M for a think tank that was not just a resting place for a cabinet in exile but an issue that will not go away in terms of a a place for Chinese influence together with Biden being enriched thereby and doling our ambassadorships as patronage

Any evidence of Hunter Biden living in or claiming that he owned or paid rent in an astronomical sum for the Delaware house raises issues of money laundering

Flatworm in reply to Steven Brizel. | January 17, 2023 at 7:41 am

Hunter Biden is so thoroughly corrupt, that I don’t think we can take any statement of his as evidence that what he claims is actually true. An investigative lead, perhaps, but not evidence of anything beyond the bare fact he made the claim.

MoeHowardwasright | January 17, 2023 at 6:49 am

Last October before the R’s took back the House, Xiden’s handlers were already preparing for the onslaught of investigations. They brought in outside counsel to craft legal ways to thwart any investigation of Hunter as well as FJB. My hunch is they were looking for anything with Hunter attached to it. The. Rut ro documents that were classified SCIF only. And possibly related to China and Ukraine. Hmmm We already know that Hunter made sure a Chinese National had a key to the Pen Center office. Now we find out that Hunter was paying 50k per month in rent for a home that he listed himself as the owner. You can’t make this up!

E Howard Hunt | January 17, 2023 at 8:14 am

Here is a guess. Biden had agreed to one term, but after the midterms got cocky and reneged on the deal, all but announcing he was running again. The extortion material his handlers have is so serious it would threaten national security and show themselves to be equally culpable in having covered it up. Hence, they had to come up with lower level extortion material that they could not be connected to.

Why did they search Biden’s private quarters? First of all, who seriously believes that Biden took secret documents and put them in his private quarters? I suggest the documents were planted.
So why would “they” do that?

Consider this:
The new Speaker of the House is a Klaus Schwab puppet. He is a member of the WEF; was seen having lunch with Schwab.

The Powers that control our Country want to remove Biden & Kamala Harris – so that the new Speaker (who is 3rd in line) will be President. Klaus Schwab will then have one of his “Young World Leaders” as the President of the United States – as in Canada, Germany, France.

and the mindless Republicans will be so happy – so Schwab’s puppet will be able to do whatever his handler tells him to do and because he is a “Republican”, The People who are Republicans won’t squawk.

What’s been as interesting to me from day one is why send your lawyers to search for these documents. Do you remember Mrs. Clinton’s lawyers keeping mum as a result of attorney-client privilege?

As to the documents themselves, the “wolf is at the door” in the form of the soon to established House committees.

Could this be due to the discovery process related to the documents Trump had?

If Trump’s lawyers were to investigate the document records of the national archives, they potentially would have discovered that the documents Biden had taken were still in Biden’s possession.

Seems to me the REAL man behind this is trying to get him out of the way. That man is Barrack Obama.

He knows that unless Trump gets the nomination or they (Republicans. Hey they nominated “Mittens Romney and McCain, Dole ) get someone as a worse candidate Joe loses.

They realize NOW that Harris was always a nonstarter do he has to get shoved out of the way. How to do that?

Make him look as bad, if not worse than Trump on documents. As President Trump had the authority to reclassify anything. Vice Presidents do not though.

Get him out, either for Office, or out of the White House (He can have a “Medical Condition”, not resign over docs.) and run someone else instead of him.

The “Man Behind the Curtain” always seem to be him, so Obama is probably are his agents in this. Joe is old and stubborn.

How to get him out? Create a scandal that’s NOT incompetence or bad policy. Show him the door, and he goes voluntarily, or make it huge legal jeopardy if he doesn’t.

If you follow Barrack’ political rise, shoving folks out of the way happened a lot, and to loyal Democrats too. His side is ruthlessm

A more basic question is why didn’t Joey and Jill simply go through the boxes themselves and quietly bring the classified stuff to the White House and make it disappear into the bowels of the National Archives. After all, Joe spends a lot of time in Delaware. It almost sounds like there must have been witnesses who saw the classified documents and reported them, so they couldn’t take care of it quietly.

I don’t know about Dr. Jill but I would never assume Biden is mentally capable of doing much of anything without his handlers by his side. For him to gather documents from his home or garage is a rather lofty mental task.

Harris was the preferred puppet for the Build Back Better coalition of Trudeau, Macron, Johnson, Morrison and Ardern. But she got nowhere fast in the primaries and therefore Biden was selected as the electable old white guy that would be a plausible victor in a stolen election.

Democrats knew Biden has dementia and figured he would only last one term, but all along they planned to shoo him aside late January 2023 for Harris to be able to serve for 10 years.

But the problem, my guess, is the First Lady who made it known will fight their planned 25th Amendment removal process. So the next best thing is the serious federal felony of carelessness with classified documents. The button was pushed and… here we are. They are not doing this to scare Biden into announcing no reelection, they are doing this to avoid a messy 25th amendment process where the fight has to move to the Congress and the First Lady would convince Biden to challenge.

henrybowman in reply to George S. | January 20, 2023 at 7:56 pm

When the swamp wants you gone, you get gone.

Tucker went public with the process last night, explaining the defenestration of Richard Nixon, the most popular president of all time.

A single boasting comment by Nixon to a CIA weenie that “I know who killed John” started the ball rolling on a plot that began by pre-impeaching the VP, setup Nixon on burglary charges (THREE of the burglars actually worked for the CIA), and then kept him beset by Bob Woodward, an intelligence operative with no journalistic experience (who was for some reason immediately hired by the WaPo and given Watergate as his first story!) Woodward buried Nixon using information fed to him by Deep Throat — the deputy director of the FBI.

Once Nixon was gone, our first unelected president was installed — a dull man who had sat on the Church Commission that exonerated the CIA for the assassination of JFK.

Covering their tracks? Rather, nuking them into green glass. And they’re perfectly willing to do it again whenever.

Tucker had better have some Class A security from now on.

TheHill had a story today that conjectured that somebody who didn’t want Biden to run in 2024 leaked information on the documents

Consider the significance of January 20, 2023, the half term mark of Biden’s presidency. If KH moves up to President after that date, she would be constitutionally eligible to serve two terms beyond the balance of Biden’s current term. If before that date, only one term. If KH did move up, constitution now has a way to fill the resulting VP vacancy. But that requires both houses of Congress to approve a presidential nominee as happened with Gerry Ford. The Republicans would be better off not confirming or not voting on any KH nominee and leaving the VP office vacant with the Speaker of the House next in line for the White House.

Has it been pointed out hat these documents were concealed from the Trump Administration? They may contain highly compromising information about the Obiden Crime Family. Then, again, why were they not just destroyed?

More unanswered questions:

The discovery of the first batch of papers at the Penn Biden center was November 2. Apparently this was reported to NARA and DOJ. Later another batch is discovered in Biden’s garage on December 20, also reported to NARA and DOJ.

Meanwhile both discoveries are kept completely secret from the American public. How long were they planning to keep this under wraps? Supposedly the WH and DOJ did not willingly come forward with this information. CBS reported it on January 9. How did CBS learn about this?

Then January 11 news of the garage papers is released — fresh news to all of us, but not to the WH or the DOJ. January 12 more documents were discovered in Wilmington, reported to the public on Saturday January 14.

On January 12 Garland announced the appointment of a Special Counsel. However he’s known there were at least 2 batches of documents since December 20.

Why didn’t Garland appoint a Special Counsel after the garage documents were discovered? Also, apparently no one decided it was a good idea to conduct thorough searches of Biden’s residences until January 11 after news of the garage documents— which had been discovered weeks earlier— was revealed to the public?

Many strange eruptions in Biden land, in addition to the classified documents theatrical.

For example, exactly how did 5 secret service rental vehicles all burst into flames?

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bidens-secret-service-rental-vehicles-burst-flames-left-nantucket-vacation

I’d take a pass on the rental vehicles theory. They have to be returned with full tanks, so all it takes is one piece of paper or dry grass getting caught underneath the vehicle by the cat converter to burn through a gas line (or driving across a hunk of junk that poked a little hole in the tank), then the burning gas would go downhill, lighting up vehicles as it goes. Parking lot fires can be nasty.

The timing suggests that they want to do one or both of these things:

1. Put the documents into sympathetic, bureacratic hands that can now keep them out of reach of investing GOPers now that they have Congress.

2. Get right ahead of the demand for such documents from said GOPers investigating Biden just so they can say look how transparent we are.

One of the reasons given – MSM…they were packing up to move out.
If you are moving, why do you need lawyers to do it ?
and if lawyers weren’t originally packing, why did anyone else look in the boxes ?

Does anyone actually believe that if one of Biden’s lawyers found a really incriminating document, he would have let it be part of the “Found” documents? With that in mind, can anyone believe that Garland would allow these same lawyers to search Biden’s garage and home? Where are the FBI agents that raided Trump’s home? Where are the pictures of Biden’s classified documents spread out on the floor? Trump’s documents were all under the National Archives’ recommendations and were secured by the Secret Service 24/7.

Exactly. The FBI wouldn’t even let one of Trump’s attorneys even observe their search at MAL, yet the DOJ considered sending the FBI to assist in the search for Biden’s documents, but decided against it. Why? I think it likely they didn’t want to see the type of information that might be comingled with the classified docs. Out of sight, out of mind, “plausible deniability” and all that. The DOJ/FBI knows that Biden’s lawyers can’t report on what they see while searching for the classified docs, and they’re fine with that.

The puppet masters know Biden can’t win in ’24, so this is an inside hit. They don’t like Kamala. Out from under a rock, Newsom will slime to the top. Bank.

How do we know these were in fact classified documents? If they’re evidence of a crime it would have been better to burn them of course, but barring that it’s better to hide them in a manner that makes them impossible to obtain by subpoena or FOIA request.

Why now? Because the midterms are done, the red tsunami amounted to a leaky, trickling faucet and it was just a couple of weeks after Biden announced his would run in 2024.

Why now? So the lawyer can have time to give back documents possibly linking Hunter/Big Guy to Ukraine corruption to the National Archives, hindering any GOP committee from disseminating information to the public.

I read late Friday that there is evidence that the material had been moved previously from another location. I don’t have any further news about it but if true it shows someone is setting lyin Joe up.
