Adam Schiff Running for Senate Even Though Feinstein Hasn’t Announced Retirement

Evil Republicans, Orange Man Bad, Democracy in danger…the usual.

Super intelligence leaker (as in national security because the man is not smart) Rep. Adam Schiff announced his run for a non-vacant California senate seat. The video is exactly how you think it is: narcissistic and braggy. He personally impeached President Donald Trump, you guys.

MAGA EXTREMISTS!

Rep. Katie Porter already declared her candidacy for the, again, non-vacant California senate seat.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein hasn’t even hinted she will retire when her term ends in 2024. The 89-year-old has been in the chamber since 1992.

Schiff has a reputation for leaking information to the press. President Donald Trump said he didn’t tell Schiff or Pelosi about the al-Baghdadi raid because “Schiff is the biggest leaker in Washington.”

Schiff asked then-acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell about reorganizing the intelligence community. However, Grenell accused Schiff of leaking the note to the press before giving him the letter.

Has DiFi hired a food taster?

Can we potentially get a 2-fer here: both of them gone when she retires and his campaign fails?

Why isn’t this vile, venal liar Schiff in prison already?

Great Piece of Schiff gets on the Senate Intel Committee.

Feinstein is virtually brain-dead and will hide in her basement the entire campaign.

In other words, she’s the ideal Dim candidate for office.

When asked, Joe Biden said, “I think Diane Feinstein would make a fine president. She’s almost as qualified as I am. All she needs to do is hide a few classified documents here and there and have her daughter turn in her computer to the repair shop.”

Schiff for brains sure seems to have what one might call a “punchable face”.

Just curious, since I’m somewhat illiterate with regard to the impeachment of House Representatives….

Given the documented facts (via e-mails, as revealed in the Twitter Files) that Schiff had colluded and conspired to deprive ordinary citizen of their First Amendment rights, is it possible to impeach him on those grounds using US 18, Section 241 and/or 242?

241 reads (portion excerpted):
“If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; (snip)

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.”

Maybe somebody at LI can provide a quick answer.

Legally, you can impeach for anything. The questions are a) do you have the votes as needed, and b) if in reality we are under the rule of law and the Constitution?

Doubts can be expressed on those points.

The history of actions taken under those two laws shows that there is a reasonable probability of winning cases… if the complainant is a government, in particular the federal government, and the defendant is a federal or state government actor. If the complainant is a common citizen or corporation, your probability of prevailing is exactly 0.

Member of Congress are not impeached and removed. They are simply expelled. Last time that happened was about 20 years ago, Jim Traficant.

These Dems will run,…right over top of DiFi if need be.

In his defense, DiFi is not aware she’s the office holder. At 89, very little remains

This should be a fun contest with at least 4 prominent Dems competing for the seat.

Pathological liar.

Schiff may be in for a shock when he goes from being the big toad in a small ultra-ethnic pond and jumps into the deeper sea of California voters.

Not to mention facing actual opponents who have significant amounts of dirt on him.

I am waiting to see how this plays out, does he go after Feinstein, if she retires how ugly would a potential match up against Porter turn into.
I fully expect Diane to retire, she is clearly not up for the job and hasn’t been for years.

As promised: Revenge of Eraserhead!

This guy should be in jail, honestly.

In jail for treason

Diane can’t live forever and is worse off in the brain than Sundowner

Must be nice to be a Democrat- the seat is “Yours” until you retire or die, with no challenge allowed from other Democrat politicians.

Intramurals for a locked-in Cali seat are bad Party discipline. Everybody gets dirtied up, and only one gets in, changing the chamber’s vote count not at all.

Weren’t The Screaming D’s the good ones at this?
