‘Where’s Miguel?’: NBC News Reporter Behind Retracted Paul Pelosi Report Remains Off-Air

“For nearly a month, NBC News has refused to explain what was wrong about Almaguer’s report aside from a vague line that it didn’t meet company standards.” – Fox News

After the shocking October 28th attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, the mainstream media and Democrats immediately (and predictably) jumped to conclusions about the motivations behind the attack, with the prevailing narrative being that the suspect, 42-year-old David DePape, was motivated by “MAGA” rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election and “years of” the GOP “demonizing” Nancy Pelosi.

DePape was reportedly looking for the House Speaker when he broke in, intending to hold her hostage until she admitted the “truth” – and if not, he would break “her kneecaps.” He had a “history of drug use, psychosis, and homelessness,” and political leanings all over the map. He once expressed support for the Black Lives Matter movement and gay rights, while allegedly posting conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election.

Understandably, many on the right have been skeptical of some of the details that have come out about what allegedly happened during the break-in and after police arrived on the scene. The skepticism appeared to be justified after a report NBC News originally ran on the “TODAY Show” earlier this month shared “new details” that didn’t match up with what the SFPD originally put out there, with reporter Miguel Almaguer stating that it was Pelosi who answered the door to the police (initial information by the police led people to believe a third person had been in the home and answered the door).

Further, the report stated that Pelosi “did not immediately declare an emergency” upon opening the door, nor did he “try to leave his home.” He then walked back “several feet” to the suspect shortly thereafter, according to NBC News sources, which is when DePape allegedly started hitting him with the hammer, fracturing his skull.

Not long after the story aired, it was retracted, with NBC News declaring in a statement on the “TODAY Show” website that “This piece has been removed from publication because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards”:

Not quite two weeks later, it was learned that Almaguer had been suspended over the report, with NBC News giving no statement on the matter beyond telling the media that “We don’t comment on personnel matters.”

Except around the time of Almaguer’s suspension, a local NBC News affiliate in the Bay Area confirmed some of the details of his report with their own sources, noting that while the DOJ’s court documents state that the police opened the door, the SF District Attorney’s office court documents say it was Pelosi who answered it:

Further, SF DA Brooke Jenkins told the affiliate in the clip that “[Paul Pelosi] will one day need to explain — right, to potentially a jury — why he did what he did, and what thought process was going on in his mind.”

Meanwhile, Almaguer remains off-air, with the only sighting of him on social media a recent post on Instagram noting he was in Barcelona over the Thanksgiving holiday. As Fox News reported, to this day, NBC News has still provided no explanation for why they suspended him:

Almaguer’s report seemed to coincide with theories that key details are being withheld from the public. For nearly a month, NBC News has refused to explain what was wrong about Almaguer’s report aside from a vague line that it didn’t meet company standards. NBC News hasn’t even admitted Almaguer is suspended with an on-the-record statement.

His continued absence from the network has had many asking, “Where’s Miguel?”

Indeed. Where’s Miguel?

Buried next to Jimmy Hoffa, maybe?

Or perhaps he got turned over to Hillary’s Housecleaning Service. His body will show up with 14 gunshots to the head and the authorities will rule it a “suicide”.

Just release the body cam footage.

I am guessing he hasn’t graduated from re-edumacation camp yet.

So.. an ROC..Reporter of Color …has disappeared after reporting about a potential white power embarrassment. Where is the Democratic Party to avenge this…oh.. never mind. Nancy will be home shortly.

He is probably at Nancy’s home cleaning floors and other domestic duties. When he goes out to do the lawn, reporters might spot him then.

Stop beating around the bush. You are obviously suggesting that Mr. P engages in same sex trysts.

No one else’s secrets are sacred for their reporting, so why should they get to carve out an exception for themselves? Seems awful convenient that they get to hide behind these walls they routinely tear down.

Let me get ahead of this and say that Mr. Almaguer, like Mr. Epstein, did not kill himself.

He’s in limbo—the same Jeffery Toobin was after he did something inappropriate on zoom. If they brought back Weiner Toobin, I suppose they will bring back mi Miguel in due time.

We might also ask where James Gordon Meek is:

Emmy-winning producer James Gordon Meek had his home raided by the FBI. His colleagues say they haven’t seen him since.

Can’t have “Truth Tellers” at NBC.

Members of the mainstream media are functionally employees of the State and as such have higher obligations to serve the goals of the State. Thus, both James Gordon Meek and Miguel Almaguer are subject to higher and immediate sanctions if they offend or cause difficulty to the State.

Don’t laugh. It won’t be that long before something akin to that will be a press release to intimidate us and the other members of the media.
