Usual Suspects Desperately Try Downplaying Musk’s ‘Twitter Files’ Release on Hunter Biden Story Suppression

One big thing new Twitter CEO Elon Musk has been promising is more transparency as to how things work at Twitter HQ under his rule and how things were run under the old regime. On Friday, he did not disappoint with the release of what are being called the “Twitter Files,” the first series of which detailed in part how in 2020 the Twitter Powers That Be worked hand and hand with Democrats to heavily moderate and, in effect, suppress content that was inconvenient to Democrats, oftentimes at the behest of those same Democrats.
Musk released the files to independent journalist Matt Taibbi, who pointed out in a very lengthy thread that though “both [major political] parties had access” to Twitter back channels in order to request content moderation/removal, that the system “wasn’t balanced” because far more leftists worked at the social media platform and thus “there were more channels, more ways to complain, open to the left”:

Another interesting development was the confirmation that (now-former) Twitter executive Vijaya Gadde was central to the New York Post‘s Hunter Biden laptop story being suppressed. Gadde, as we now know, was later rewarded by the Biden White House for her obedience:

Naturally, the Usual Suspects on the left, in the MSM, and on the NeverTrump “right” are performing backflips to alternately suggest with straight faces that most of the information posted was already known (false), that it’s no big deal (false), that what Musk is doing is dangerous (false), and/or that Taibbi is simply a Musk stooge who is in it for the money or whatever (even if so, so what? The documents don’t lie).

Basically, Taibbi is doing what journalists are supposed do in shining the spotlight on this information. In turn, pseudo-journalists like Collins are whining about it and throwing tantrums. Their reactions are a reaffirmation of everything we know about the sad state of modern journalism, with little to none of it being any good.

As previously indicated, these people have few, if any, morals and ethics. That makes them incapable of seeing what it obvious. That this is wrong in so many ways. They are true ideologues and dangerous to democracy with their authoritarian behavior.

4. Dumped the pre election 2020 internal communications re suppression of the HB laptop

The corporate media is deathly afraid that their role as info gatekeeper and as the folks who decide what is/is not news will be removed due to a neutral Twitter that allows individuals to post and share stories and ideas.

Mastadon’s private-public server system simply can’t replace it. I don’t know if search engine bots are allowed to crawl those servers. It’s not what they think it is; a player versus player world.

I’m awaiting the Galt reawakening — the university, the news empire, the financial service, the medical network, the tech supplier — created by the purposeful accretion of all the “adults” cancelled out of the failing institutions of the First Galactic Empire. Of course, the problem is possibly my own impatience — it’s the same old feeling of frustration I felt as a youngster as I waited for the rest of the class to struggle to make it to the point where we could begin again to make new progress in learning new things. Two years for the rest of America to realize what I and others like the people here knew about COVID, about Hunter, about the media, about socialism, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Maybe the accretion of the Second Empire is indeed inevitable, just not on any time scale my children are likely to see.

I think there are smaller clusters of that forming some online and some IRL. Heck right here at LI is one of them where non conformist, non establishment folks communicate daily. Local VFW and many other civic groups.
Many people are moving in the wake of the Rona mania away from the Karens to more free parts of their current State or to new States. This is an acceleration of the existing trend; the Great Sorting.
My point is the groundwork for what you envision is being done everyday. If the past five to ten years have taught anything it’s that we must have the capacity to question the establishment narrative and the willingness to keep the weirdos and totalitarians off our local boards, commissions, councils and executive offices.
