Why Hasn’t Crypto-Scammer and Dem Donor Sam Bankman-Fried Been Arrested?

“Bankman-Fried – the second biggest donor to Democrats behind George Soros – has all but admitted that he squandered billions of dollars of other people’s money carelessly”

Sam Bankman-Fried is the Democrat mega-donor at the center of the FTX crypto-currency scandal. This situation has been compared to the Bernie Madoff scandal by various people in finance and media. So where’s the arrest? Where is the pre-dawn raid?

Remember during the Trump presidency when we were sometimes treated to pre-dawn raids on Trumpian figures like Roger Stone, complete with CNN cameras rolling? Why is this different?

QTR’s Fringe Finance writes at Substack:

Why Isn’t Sam Bankman-Fried In Handcuffs Yet?

To be honest, it’s kind of hard to try and entertain the innuendo and rumors that Democrats and the media are working to do damage control on behalf of Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of now-bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, because the idea is just so reprehensible.

But they sure do keep giving us ammunition to make that suggestion, don’t they?

Bankman-Fried – the second biggest donor to Democrats behind George Soros – has all but admitted that he squandered billions of dollars of other people’s money carelessly, writing “I fucked up” on Twitter in a mea culpa about two weeks ago, days after a run on his exchange exposed it to be a shell of what many perceived it to be.

Institutional investors in FTX have written their stakes in the firm to $0…

Now widely accepted by the public and most in the financial industry to have committed a massive $30 billion fraud that has spawned innumerable comparisons to Madoff and Enron, it’s unclear to me what more of an admission of guilt is needed to extradite Bankman-Fried to the United States and place him under arrest.

Is this about Bankman-Fried’s powerful friends? You know, the politicians who benefited from his donations?

Aaron Kliegman writes at Just the News:

It’s who you know: The intricate web linking FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, Dems and DC establishment

The collapse of cryptocurrency giant FTX has revealed an intricate web of donations and connections to the country’s political establishment — Democrats and Republicans, regulators and academics — centered around the company’s now-bankrupt founder, Sam Bankman-Fried…

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), for example, has been pictured meeting with Bankman-Fried on multiple past occasions, both smiling with their arms around each other. She also traveled in April to the Bahamas, where FTX is based and Bankman-Fried lives, to discuss cryptocurrency among other agenda items. In December, she appeared to blow a kiss at Bankman-Fried as he was leaving the Capitol building after testifying before Congress.

Last week, Waters announced the House Financial Services Committee, which she chairs, will hold a bipartisan hearing next month to investigate the collapse of FTX and the broader consequences for the digital assets marketplace.

Maxine Waters posed for pictures with this guy.

Does anyone on the planet believe that Bankman-Fried would be spared a public arrest on CNN if he was a major donor to the Trump campaign?

Democrats are more interested in Trump’s taxes and what Elon Musk is doing with Twitter than they are in the biggest financial scandal in years.

I think your header answers its own question.

Why hasn’t he been arrested? Because he had his fingers in too many pockets of people in high places. And he wasn’t taking money out, he was putting money in.

I am a bot and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators if you have any questions or concerns.

Well, if the Biden Crime Syndicate can continue to operate, why not Bankman-Fried?

I dont think he squandered other people’s money. I think he stole it. And I don’t think he was ever a billionaire. So he didn’t lose his fortune.

He and Hunter signed the same non-prosecution agreement with DOJ. It’s a great deal!!

So, all those questions are rhetorical, right?

Gonna be a hoot watching the well connected establishment and credentialed class who aided, enabled or were paid off twitch and squirm to wriggle off the hook.

It’s gonna be sad when they don’t even have to bother because of a combination of our multi-tiered justice system and the general public’s lack of interest in this case.

    There will be no “hook”

    Free as a bird

Then why are the folks who aided and enabled this bad actor doing so much wriggling? Everyone involved has been issuing statements of ‘no comment’ or ‘there were others involved’.

A claw back of all funds from FTX to all recipients is, IMO, more likely than not. The regulators are gonna get scuffed up for their complicity. The politicians like Waters will be further tarnished but because their constituents don’t care and they are d/prog they will likely skate.

Nancy already dismissed reporters by saying that Republicans got FTX money same as Democrats did. This woman lies like breathing.

The same reason Epstein wasn’t arrested for decades and when he finally was he committed ‘suicide’ immediately, and Maxwell became the first person in history of being convicted of trafficking without anybody she trafficked TO being arrested.

Because too many people with too much power would be caught up in an actual legitimate investigation.

Well, the obvious answer is that he isn’t in this country. He’ll have to be extradited.

Been thinking for days Sam will see a jail or underside of a vehicle but doubt any other players will. Seem the parents made out with over $100 million in property but being on the good side of the law ( they all helped the Democrat party) will enjoy their new found wealth

But this guy? Why he’s on the wrong side and must be punished severely, hopefully death
This poor guy and dozens like him rotting, yes rotting in Americas gulag and nobody gives a damn

We lost this Country completely in 2020 and you think DeSantis will bring us back from our already descent to hell?

Lol, we. Are .screwed….

I broke down on I35 going to Fort Worth, TX today, things worked out well with AAA coming in 20 minutes, my membership paid for the towing 100 miles to a dealership by my house. He dropped me off at large gas station with travel center, pretty much past Waco but in the middle of nowhere to wait for my ride. I had a ton of stuff because of the holidays including a cello, 4 pies, other foods, suitcase etc. I asked the obvious Muslim male person behind the stand if I could come in and wait , explained what had happened. He gave me a pretty disgusted look and then pointed to a chair down by the restrooms. There was a small table there and I put my belongings on it and sat waiting for my SIL that was an hour and half away with holiday traffic.
The man then came down where I was and informed me that people will want the table to eat , trying to get me to wait outside in the rain with my stuff. I said, interesting, have a happy Thanksgiving and decided to ignore his dirty looks.
Now I am an older woman, whose car broke down on a dangerous stretch of highway in America on a holiday and this clearly immigrant could careless that I was alone, had enough stuff for a pack mule and was so disrespectful he wanted me to sit out in the rain incase someone wanted to eat at the one table his frozen food delights.
This is out America now.

Not trying to pick a fight, just asking for further clarification on this episode you described.

Do you believe the man you referred to had a duty to you? If so is that a societal expectation or a legal duty? If societal was that societal expectation more pronounced in the past? If so what factors caused the shift in that expectation?

I really am intrigued and would honestly appreciate your answers. Your perspective as a self described older woman as to what things used to be v how they are today and your observations as to how we got here would be very valuable to listen to and learn from.

The Bahamas holed up in his house may be the safest place for him. If he returns to the US he will probably get Epsteined as a whole lot of Democrats are in his pocket for millions.

I don’t intend to bring down the rath of Khan and I am happy to see the punk spend life in a Supermax but, could someone articulate the crime for me? Very bad business and investment decisions by a large group of people , sure This is a private non-bank company so hard to see a banking or sec violation. A bailment requires physical possession of the chattel don’t see that. We haven’t seen the documentation. Is this just belief in magic beans and unicorns? Where is the mens rea?

There’s plenty of crime to go around.
On SBF’s part, garden variety bunko con fraud, abandonment of fiduciary duty, keeping fraudulent books (double-counting a single asset), embezzlement of company funds for personal profit, and aiding and abetting a larger political fraud.
And the larger political fraud was the swamp’s unconstitutional funding of a foreign war, in which the foreign entity kicked back billions of dollars into FTX “investments,” which donated it to swamp candidates.

Senator-elect John Fetterman (D., Pa.) disavowed “dirty money” from corporate interests in his Senate campaign. Crypto scam artist Sam Bankman-Fried was an apparent exception, according to campaign finance records.

Web3 Forward, a pro-crypto super PAC funded heavily by Bankman-Fried, spent more than $210,000 on ads portraying Fetterman as a blue-collar hero who would not “get schmoozed by lobbyists,” the New York Times reported. Bankman-Fried, his crypto firm FTX, and one of his cofounders gave nearly $4.1 million to GMI PAC, another tech-oriented group that is the sole funder of Web3 Forward.

Lots of stupid conspiracy theorizing in these comments.

He hasn’t been arrested because: (1) no one knows where he is, and (2) wherever he is, it’s outside the U.S.

For my money, he’s in a country that has no extradition treaty with the U.S. Taiwan would be pretty comfortable, especially with a few stolen billions.

You will never convince me that an intelligence community that can track a pillow entrepreneur to a fast food drive in window in God’s Armpit, Minnesota in real time has no idea where Fat Democrat Boy has been at all times over the past three weeks.

Quoth: Why Isn’t Sam Bankman-Fried In Handcuffs Yet? . . . “I fucked up”

Because fucking up is not a crime. It will take some time to untangle what happened and, if warranted, to bring charges.

Neo: Crypto scam artist Sam Bankman-Fried was an apparent exception, according to campaign finance records. Web3 Forward, a pro-crypto super PAC funded heavily by Bankman-Fried . . .

Fetterman has no control over a Super Pac. Super Pacs represent a possible conduit for corruption, but Republicans have worked hard to legalize the continued flow of dark money to influence candidates.

Bank man Fried who should be doing a perp walk never learned from anyone especially his mother who denies the concept of individual responsibility four simple words-Thou shall not steal

Last I heard he was in the Bahamas. that could explain it.

    Bushwah.
They know he’s going to be in NYC on the 30th, at an NYT-hosted speaking event.
Time for the FBI to put up or shut up. No excuses.

He hasn’t been arrested because they haven’t figured out how to kill him in custody without raising inconvenient questions.

He didn’t do anything useful, but had demonstrated he’s superb at working the system. They’re gonna have to buy him off to keep him quiet.

If they arrest him they would have to make public claims about where the money went in order to prosecute. That money trail might prove embarrassing.

“Now widely accepted…” is not proof a crime happened so what are you going to arrest him for at this point?
