New Book – Tales from the Pandemic

New Book – Tales from the Pandemic

“the coronavirus epidemic through the lens of light horror in the vein of Edgar Allen Poe and similar folk tales”

Jay Crowther is a friend of the blog and the author of this new book. Here’s how he describes it:

“Tales from the Pandemic” is a passion project of mine writing a series of illustrated fictional stories that give my view on the coronavirus epidemic through the lens of light horror in the vein of Edgar Allen Poe and similar folk tales. It tells stories like a man’s struggle with cabin fever, a biologist making hard choice in great fear, the impact of dementia in elderly from covid, and trying to play sports as a teenager under lockdown.

I am seventeen years old and it is the transformative event of my generation. Nothing else comes close for how it changed school, sports, day-to-day life, but I think most of what has been written is news and politics and about vaccines. I wanted to show through stories what we lived through and give voice to those crazy times through fiction in a way that entertains. It is my artwork and mostly my stories. I am still finding my voice but am growing more confident that they have something important to say and plan to add a few more stories that will automatically get added in an update to the Kindle edition soon. I hope everyone enjoys it, and am grateful for the chance to offer this to Legal Insurrection readers.
