German Climate Militants Storm Berlin Airport, Glue Themselves to Tarmac

German Climate Militants Storm Berlin Airport, Glue Themselves to Tarmac

Germany’s DW TV: “Pro-environment activists gained access to the runways and stopped planes from taking off or landing at Berlin Brandenburg airport for nearly two hours.”

Indoctrinated by the German political elite and mainstream media, the country’s climate activists are getting increasingly hysterical and militant.

On Thursday evening, activists of the extremist German climate group “The Last Generation” stormed the runways of the Berlin Brandenburg Airport, gluing themselves to the tarmac and chanting mindless climate slogans — forcing one of Europe’s busiest airports to shut down for nearly two hours, the German media reported.

“Pro-environment activists gained access to the runways and stopped planes from taking off or landing at Berlin Brandenburg airport for nearly two hours,” Germany’s state-run DW TV reported.

“The activists livestreamed their protest on Twitter, showing some gluing themselves to the ground and others cycling around the site. The footage on Twitter showed them cutting through a fence and holding up banners,” the broadcaster added.

The public broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) reported:

On Thursday, climate protesters belonging to the “Last Generation” entered the airfield of the Berlin Airport without authorization, and caused the suspension of air traffic for the duration. This was announced by a spokesman for the airport on Thursday. After one and a half hours the two runways of the BER [Berlin Airport] were be released again at around 6:20 p.m., reports say.

The “Last Generation” activists had previously barged into the airport at two places, both on the north and south sides. Thus causing the runways to be closed.

Berlin Airport’s spokesman Jan-Peter Haack said in the evening that flight operations were suspended for 90 minutes, with 15 flights being diverted, some to Düsseldorf. As a spokesman [for the company] Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG confirmed to the RBB, five planes landed in Leipzig/Halle and eight in Dresden. (…)

It was initially unclear how many unauthorized persons entered the airfield. According to the police, several persons have been taken into custody. The police headquarters in Brandenburg responded to the media query by saying that the climate activists would be charged with the dangerous disruption of air traffic, trespassing and property damage. In recent months, the “Last Generation” climate agitators have been gluing themselves to motorways and autobahns across Germany, causing massive rush-hour traffic jams. The extremist group, which appears more like a sect, believes that the “world has only a few years left to turn the wheel around and avoid catastrophic levels of global warming,” the French TV channel Euronews reported.

Besides disrupting air traffic and autobahns, the Last Generation militants also vandalize iconic Western artworks displayed in European museums. “Two climate activists threw mashed potatoes at Claude Monet’s “Les Meules” and then glued themselves underneath the painting on Sunday. Museum Barberini in Potsdam, Germany said on Twitter that the painting was not damaged during the incident,” CBS News reported last month. “Last Generation, a climate activist group based in Germany, claimed responsibility for the action.”

While Germany’s media and political elite sympathize with growing climate hysteria and activism, the right-wing opposition party Alternative of Germany (AfD) urged the authorities to stop treating these militants with kid gloves.

The climate activists who disrupted the air traffic in Berlin “should get the punishment in line with the German criminal code,” AfD deputy leader Beatrix von Storch demanded on Twitter. Von Storch cited article 315 of the German criminal code (StGB), which suggests a 10-year prison sentence for such crimes.

Making the open admission that I am not the nicest person in the world, I think it would have been a wonderful time to clear all aircraft, civil and military, from the Berlin airport, scrambling them as needed.

If North By Northwest were made today, it would be a lot shorter and less interesting.

I was thinking of a man on each side of each idiot, the quickly pick up the protester, as in like taking a band aid off. I doubt that those removed in that manner would ever glue themselves down again.

Conservative Beaner | November 25, 2022 at 4:36 pm

Should have pulled their hands off the tarmac peeling the skin off their hands. That will sends a message.

Nail polish remover fixes it, if there is in fact a glue that binds to asphalt.

I don’t understand these German Cops. Grab them under the arms and pull them off the runway leaving a little skin on the tarmac. Do that a few times and that would be then end of this glue nonsense. Seriously, let them sit on a runway disrupting traffic for 2hrs? Also, what the hell kind of security do they have that the fence can be cut in two places and people start riding bikes around?

Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the loony left from their appointed rounds.”

Being out in the open while glued down to a runway subject to said rain, snow, sleet and hail will really test how certain they are in their fevered convictions.

Let them revisit this over the next year as they get what they want… good and hard. As at the Porsche display… leave them there on the active. They can experience first hand what the Lima Peru firefighters found out when their practice drill missed the taxiway and they wound up on the active.

Why not glue themselves to the airplanes and show they are serious? Get their message off the ground. Take to the air.

Keep doing stupid things they will be the last generation.
On the other hand when they join the Caliphate they will calm down

Why tolerate this, start your engines please

Airports, huh. [catastrophic] [anthropogenic] immigration reform (CAIR) is a first-order forcing of climate change.

It was really funny how CAIR was scrambling to deleted stuff from their website after 9-11. They should have been squashed like bugs then.

All Seeing Eye | November 25, 2022 at 6:23 pm

You only have to chop a few of them in half with a chainsaw live on television and the others will think twice about doing this.

Okay, maybe not chainsaws exactly. But 9 years in a hard labour camp like drug smuggler Brittney Griner for the next half a dozen domestic terrorists and this crap stops on the spot.

Conservative_Detroiter | November 25, 2022 at 6:43 pm

Scrape them off the runway with a bulldozer. They will not try this again. Guaranteed.

These useful idiots must know, when they are no longer useful, the idiot remains.

Why aren’t the courts ordering these people to pay restitution?

Could be the courts are packed with liberals same as the dems do here. Anyone really think pedo joe’s supreme court pick is actually anything but a partisan democrat weasel?

The desecration of priceless artworks shows exactly how utterly devoid of intellectual and emotional heft these nihilistic fucks are.

German Climate Terrorists Storm Berlin Airport, Glue Themselves to Tarmac
Fixed the headline, don’t ever let them get away with the language.
Pro-environment activists gained access to the runways should read – Terrorists gained access to the runways.
More truthful. This is how their shit should be reported. Saw the headline of an article that said 70% of 7 to 12 year olds are scared to death over the bullschiff climate change narrative.
If you keep using their language we lose.

Don’t want to hurt them physically-they’ll just burden medical sys. Just leave them out there. How many of them were there? Taxi around them, run up your engines next to them etc. Did they lay on all the taxi/runways? I bet-take her purse away and she won’t make 8hrs. Peeing all overherself and getting hungry. Make her sign a oath that she would refrain from any further disruptive behavior before you acquiesce to her begging and unglue her.

Sierra Club enlisted the help of Blue Ridge Coalition to protest the paper mill consuming trees and one BRC hippie handcuffed himself through the fence before noticing the fire ants swarming furiously out of the huge mound he had just stepped in. I saw it, and laughed.

When clearing runways of such flotsam it is recommended to use a brush chipper prior to aircraft engines. While models such as the General Electric GENX and the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 may be capable of dispatching such debris, any metal latching clothing mechanisms or body piercings should be removed and any nylon clothing articles which may acreet on the hot sections of the combustion chambers.

The correct thing is to leave them there, for days if need be, allowing no one else to come near as runways are not safe. And do try to dodge them with aircraft if possible

Much easier solution to make them either voluntarily move or else choose to be *really* miserable . . . .

Years ago, I used to do a class for beer competition judges, to acquaint them with particular off-flavors are and what causes them. To do so, you’d dose a reference beer with tiny amounts of various organic chemicals that are perceptible in the parts-per-million (or even parts per billion!) range.

One was butyric acid, which is produced by certain bacterial contaminants, and is what makes vomit smell like vomit. Even in the parts-per-million-range, it is *very* unpleasant smelling. The brewing science professor who had given me a small vial of pure butyric acid (used to create my 1-1000 dilutions, of which I’d use a few drops to spike the reference beer samples) warned me to only open the shatterproof vial outside or under a fume hood. He was correct — the straight stuff is ridiculously foul and is gag inducing (but harmless).

So . . . Douse a few weighted rags in butyric acid , and put them in a circle around these clowns, just out of arms reach. (Put the rags atop a metal or disposable plastic plate so as to facilitate cleanup / decontamination after they leave.) Or use one rag and a fan to direct the odor in their direction. Or spritz their clothing with it.

Or use skunk mercaptins (even more potent and unpleasant).

It’s harmless but will make the virtue signalers have to truly be miserable during their little stunt.

Tortious interference? Destruction of property? Trespassing? Kidnapping if they block people in?

Can some of the legal-eagles hereabouts chip in with what applies? It ain’t their airport, and the whole tactic is messing with other people to make a point.

Minor charges will do. We know that trespassing can get you 30 years these days. And having an opinion about how the authoritah running the place you fund are doing things makes you a terrorist. (It’s not like elections are to put in place people who will do what *you* want. What a quaint notion.)

Oh, wait, that’s the US.

No problem. Just put some orange cones around them so small aircraft don’t run into them and crash. Let them sit there and then watch them squirm when they have to pee.

If they want to see what the last genera looks like they should a collection of aborted fetuses whose lives were terminated solely for the purpose of convenience

Did you know that a hacksaw will cut through human bone in less than a minute? Why am I mentioning that? Oh, no reason.

tarmac = (informal, aviation) The area of an airport, other than the runway, where planes park or maneuver.

A flat blade shovel would easily solve the problem and clear the runway. just scrape them off the tarmac…
