Biden Admin’s New Maritime Deal Proposes Handing Over Share of Israel’s Gas Reserves to ‘Iranian Puppet-State in Lebanon’

Biden Admin’s New Maritime Deal Proposes Handing Over Share of Israel’s Gas Reserves to ‘Iranian Puppet-State in Lebanon’

Biden’s Israel-Lebanon maritime deal will be “undermining both [Israel’s] security and its constitution by signing a deal that would give the Iranian puppet-state in Lebanon hundreds of miles of territory in the Mediterranean Sea—and the vast reserves of natural gas underneath.”

While still working to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, President Joe Biden’s administration has finalized a maritime agreement between Israel and Lebanon, which critics believe benefits pro-Iranian Lebanese terror group Hezbollah and offers Israel nothing in return.

The deal proposed by the Biden White House will be “undermining both [Israel’s] security and its constitution by signing a deal that would give the Iranian puppet-state in Lebanon hundreds of miles of territory in the Mediterranean Sea—and the vast reserves of natural gas underneath,” noted U.S.-based legal scholar, Professor Eugene Kontorovich, wrote in the Newsweek.

Professor Kontorovich further explained:

[The deal] does not advance U.S. strategic interests to propose a deal that would strengthen Hezbollah, a State Department-designated terror group that was found liable for $110 million in federal court just last week for rocket attacks that injured U.S. citizens. But the stakes are even higher for Israel, whose government is replaying the wishful-thinking diplomacy that has led to its costliest historical blunders.

The Biden administration rewards Lebanon with a lucrative and one-sided deal despite threats made by Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah to target Israel’s offshore drilling operations.

As Israeli journalist Lahav Harkov noted in the Jerusalem Post, Biden’s deal gives into Lebanese and Hezbollah demands without receiving anything in return. She observed: “Israel is giving up the entire zone in dispute – something concrete – in exchange for theoretical, amorphous promises and things it already has.”

The Lebanese demand for a share of Israeli natural gas reserves had no leg to stand on. Satellite images have shown that Israeli drilling operations are well within the country’s maritime borders.

Biden’s deal, which comes days after irreparable damage to Russian natural gas pipelines to Europe, will position Tehran’s puppet regime in Lebanon and Hezbollah as major players in Europe’s energy market. As European energy prices skyrocket ahead of the winter, the gas revenue will bolster Hezbollah, the world’s most heavily armed terrorist group.

Netanyahu Rejects “Humiliating Surrender” to Hezbollah

Israel’s longest-serving Prime Minister and opposition leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, rejected the Biden administration’s proposed deal, calling it a “humiliating surrender” to the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

Netanyahu also slammed Israel’s caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid, for going along with the Biden White House proposal.

The Likud party leader, who holds a slight lead in the opinion polls ahead of next month’s election, urged Israel’s interim government to seek the approval of the national parliament and put it to a referendum. According to Israel Hayom, “former PM warns it must get Knesset approval and be submitted for referendum.”

The Israel Hayom reported:

Lapid heads a caretaker government ahead of a Nov 1 election. His challenger, conservative ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has argued the Lebanese deal could benefit Hezbollah, and accused Lapid of evading parliamentary scrutiny.

“Lapid is making a humiliating surrender to [Hezbollah chief] Hassan Nasrallah,” Netanyahu said on Sunday., “He is doing this without a referendum or a Knesset debate; he is giving away sovereign areas with a massive gas field – which belongs to you, the Israelis.” Netanyahu went on to say that if Lapid manages to “pull a fast one” by approving this without triggering a national referendum, we won’t consider it binding.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz blasted the Biden White House for forcing Israel to capitulate to Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

Former US Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, who served during President Donald Trump’s tenure, blasted the disastrous deal for undoing the progress already made by the previous administration.

This actually serves as evidence that the puppet masters (I believe them to be a group more than a single person) are not of American ancestry or birth and do not have a full understanding of American culture. Their decisions indicate they do not have a full understanding of how Americans think.

We can argue Obama was either a Muslim or at best a heavy sympathizer so I can see him coming up with this.

Its difficult for me to see Biden coming up with this.

Just an observation.

Quite obviously the current administration has a large number of intellectuals advising them. This is not necessarily a good thing.

Yeah, that’s possible given the left tilt of academia.

What calls this out is the obvious one sidedness of it ( that smells of bias as well as leftist thought)

I’ve settled on the theory that the entire upper cabal of the Biden administration spends hours each day clicking on clickbait internet ads with titles like, “Always wrap your c* in tinfoil before flying internationally, here’s why,” and “Never hike the backcountry without a banana, here’s why,” and discussing among themselves how they could use all the secret wisdom within to more effectively administer a country.

“Never leave your home without a 10¢ Harbor Freight facemask, here’s why!”

How did something so obviously unintelligent get called the intelligentsia?

Oh, this is great! So now you are sowing seeds of actual white supremacy? On this forum? With this audience? How desperate are you, taurus, at this point to maintain your cover? How long before you start trying to recruit LI readers to “kidnap” a governor?

Have you totally lost your mind?

Please explain what you are saying?

I’m curious myself ( especially from the post up top that no intelligent person could even twist what I wrote into what follows)

With no basic in any fact or reality I have been accused by a mod of:

        Inciting racism ?

        maintaining a “cover” ( I presume as a spy) ?

Attempting to recruit for a “kidnapping” ( a felony) ?

Then multiple sudden callouts over the other thread too.

That’s why I took screenshots of both threads.

This is unhinged behavior for no legitimate purpose or reason.

There seem to be a lot of people pretty happy to declare who has a “right” to what, decided at some meeting you’re not invited to.

Responding directly: there are half a dozen phrases n ideas in T-Judge’s comment 0f 1:09 that could be used as fodder to get lI slimed n taken down, could attract whack-jobs, could be used as excuse for arrival of further false-flag whack-jobs, or all of those.

If someone does that consistently, maybe attracting files n consequences is the point.

Show one and do it in detail please and then point out how whatever reasoning you would use to draw such a conclusion would not apply to any other post or poster here.

I’m just not seeing it but maybe that’s me.

The lash out seems strange. Have the two of you argued in the past?

BierceAmbrose in reply to BierceAmbrose. | October 5, 2022 at 4:02 pm

Weirdly, Disqus isn’t showing me a reply option on the two replies to this. So odd structure here.

Replying to t-judge off 3:20 — not playing this game with you. It’s either remedial reading comprehension: not my job. Or it’s the rhetorical hack of getting someone talking, to produce some side-opening to grab on to.

I don’t consider your engagement here, and in the past with me, to be sincere or honest. You are free to attempt to change my mind.

Weirdly, Disqus isn’t showing me a reply option on the two replies to the above of mine. So odd structure here.

          Replying to health-fu of 5:44

          Yes, it’s you.

Also, calling it “lash out” does not make it so. This is an example of sliming by embedded presupposition. Two actually: “lashing out” is poor manners, and someone who does that lacks in self-control.

When did you learn to call pointing out what’s going on “lashing out?” Weird.

Answering your question, vs. your preceding embedded accusations: No, t-judge and I haven’t argued before. I have pointed out crappy rhetorical practice before, which, as this time, resulted in calumny on the sly. Sometimes on the not-so-sly: t-judge has directly called me crazy, an idiot, or on drugs.

Perhaps he slips up when he’s irritated, and having the rhetorical hacks noted irritates him.

“Weirdly, Disqus isn’t showing me a reply option on the two replies to this. So odd structure here.”

When the discussion goes beyond a certain level deep in replies, it doesn’t allow further replies. It’s just a cheap way of preventing comments from eventually appearing in columns two characters wide.

The lash out was directed at the original index of reply to this post from Fuzzy…not your comment just to be clear.

Don’t forget the anti-Semitism of the group pulling Biden’s strings.

Not meant as a taunt…I’m genuinely curious.

Do you still think this PM is a better choice than Netanyahu, Milly?

Israel should do what the rest of the world is doing and just start chanting:

“LET’S GO BRANDON!”

Seriously, why on earth would they let this senile dotard dictate ANYTHING to them?

How weak and pathetic are they?

Quite common for this administration: taking things that don’t belong to them and giving them to people they expect political payback from.

Fat_Freddys_Cat | October 4, 2022 at 1:27 pm

Why is the U.S. government involved in this?

On 23 Oct 1983 Hezbollah detonated suicide truck bombs at two buildings housing members of the Multinational Peacekeeping Force in Beirut, Lebanon. 320 people: 254 U.S. Marines and 58 French Paratroopers, six civilians, and two attackers were killed. That was the single largest death-toll of U.S. servicemen since the Tet Offensive in Vietnam.

So why exactly are we going out of our way to propose giving a priceless reward to Hezbollah while damaging our allies and ourselves in the process?

Are our memories so short? Our internal politics so self-destructively foul? No wonder the world has no respect for us.

Gosport in reply to Gosport. | October 4, 2022 at 8:44 pm

Perhaps some are too young to remember the Iran hostage crisis.

In 1979 the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, Iran was overrun by the same people who are running Iran now. 52 U.S. diplomats and citizens were held hostage by the Iranians for 444 days under the indescribably weak Carter administration, but were magically released the day Ronald Reagan was inaugurated.

No apologies, they just let our people go immediately because they understood that Reagan would dump a bucket of sunshine on their heads if necessary to get our people back. How do we, as a nation, keep forgetting this stuff?

Folks, we don’t even have a lowly Consulate in Iran at this point much less an Embassy, which means we aren’t supposed to have ANY direct relations with them,

So what is driving the Democrats to fall all over themselves making shite deals with them which harm us and our allies? That’s the question we need to be asking our govt.

Why in the world would Israel agree to this.?

Absolutely NO!

American Human | October 4, 2022 at 2:36 pm

Oh no, Ted Cruz is deeply troubled. What are we going to do?

Former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should tell idiot Biden and his idiot puppet masters to pound sand. After midterms let’s hope we can impeach both Biden and the oreo!

Why would the current PM of Israel go along with this?

“How we got here”. Ask Hunter and I bet Israel citizens are missing Benjamin about now.

Lebanon would have so much potential if it would cut ties to Iran and get rid of Hezbollah

Gosport in reply to geronl. | October 4, 2022 at 6:58 pm

Lebanon would love to do that. But they can’t.

The Iranian surrogate in that area is Syria not Lebanon. Lebanon’s President is actually Maronite Christian. Yes, ‘Hezbollah’ (or any of its other screenames such as ‘Islamic Jihad’) drives the train in southern Lebanon but to put it bluntly, who controls what is incredibly complicated and can change twice in a city block.

One thing I suggest we can be certain of is that if this windfall actually occurs Hezbollah will either control it outright or the Lebanese Civil War will crank back up.

This brain fart from the Biden administration is, unsurprisingly, an incredibly bad idea.

WTF would Israel actually agree to this even in principle much less by a vote? A successor govt isn’t going to honor this giveaway in the long-term and probably not the short-term.

There doesn’t seem to be any upside to this for Israel. They should tell them to pound sand. Plenty to choose from in that wasteland.

The vile Dhimmi-crats’ perennial and indefensible dhimmitude continues apace. Coddling and enabling terrorists while undermining Israel, at every opportunity. Simply contemptible and evil.

We’re back to what we had with Obama.

“No worse ally, no better enemy.”

There’s barely any room in this guy’s colon, considering all of the enemies of freedom whose hands are up his ass.

If Biden had any working brain cells he would be doing everything to facilitate ramping up oil production in the USA to drive the oil price lower to bankrupt Russia instead of pursuing policies to make Russia and our other enemies richer.
