Calculations Show Schumer-Manchin Green Boondoggle Bill Will Have Little Impact on Global Temperature

However, “experts” seem to be ignoring one thing that really does influence our climate: The Sun.

Democrats, their media minions, and green justice activists are celebrating the recent passage of the Schumer-Manchin Green Boondoggle bill, which cobbled together climate regulations, drug price control measures, and Internal Revenue Service enhancements.

And while it is too early to feel the economy-harming and liberty-crushing consequences of much of the legislation, climate scientist Bjorn Lomborg looked at the Rhodium Group estimate for CO2 emissions reductions that would result from the from Schumer-Manchin policies.

His findings: The much monstrous measure will have an infinitesimal impact on the climate.

He then plugged them into the United Nations climate model to measure the impact on global temperature by 2100. He finds the bill will reduce the estimated global temperature rise at the end of this century by all of 0.028 degrees Fahrenheit in the optimistic case. In the pessimistic case, the temperature difference will be 0.0009 degrees Fahrenheit.

..This isn’t surprising. No matter what the U.S. does to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, it will be dwarfed by what the rest of the world does. China, India and Africa aren’t about to stop burning fossil fuels as they develop, and China is sprinting ahead to build huge new coal capacity despite its pledge to start reducing emissions after 2030.

Barring a breakthrough in battery or other technology, carbon emissions will continue to increase. No one knows how much the Earth’s temperature will warm, though even the U.N. model has modified its estimates from the apocalyptic predictions of some years ago.

However, there is something the “climate” experts targeting carbon dioxide emissions are completely ignoring that has a significant impact on the Earth’s climate: The Sun.

…[T] he early 1980s saw a reversal in the consensus about an important sun-weather effect and studying the topic was discouraged. The adversarial academic environment resulted in very few scientists dedicating their research efforts to this subject. Despite the difficulties, important advances have been made regarding the sun-climate effect. Lack of interest and disregard for a competing climate change mechanism hypothesis by mainstream climatologists has resulted in these advances being ignored. They remain under-cited and unknown to most supporters and skeptics of the CO2 hypothesis. More importantly, they are not discussed in most climate papers, they are simply ignored.

These advances refer to climate phenomena that typically are not properly included in climate models due to lack of knowledge of how they happen or what causes them. They are not, or only weakly, reproduced by models, yet in most cases they can be detected in climate reanalyses where the models are constrained by a huge number of real observations.

Importantly, no hypothesis for a sun-climate effect can be correct if it cannot explain or accommodate the relationship between these phenomena and solar variability. The sun-climate relationship, at present, represents a black hole in modern climatology that keeps growing without anybody seeing inside it.

I want to conclude by noting something our current media is ignoring in its hysteria over this summer’s heat waves. Solar activity has picked up recently, exceeding the projections by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

While the solar cycle is not yet at its peak, the space agency said activity has already surpassed predictions. Solar flares and eruptions will likely increase from now until 2025, as we reach “solar maximum,” writes Nicola Fox, the director of NASA’s heliophysics division.

“During the Sun’s natural 11-year cycle, the Sun shifts from relatively calm to stormy, then back again,” says Fox. “At its most active, called solar maximum, the Sun is freckled with sunspots and its magnetic poles reverse.”

…At 7:09 p.m. last Sunday, satellites detected an explosion on the sun and a “long-lasting eruption of a C9.3-class solar flare,” according to professional astronomer and science writer Tony Phillips‘s website Spaceweather.com, which monitors solar activity.

“The intensity is probably an underestimate because it was partially eclipsed by the edge of the Sun. Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory saw hot debris flying away from the blast site,” the site reported on Monday. “Earth is not in the line of fire. The explosion is significant because it may herald an active region set to emerge over the sun’s northeastern limb later this week. A new sunspot group could bring an end to weeks of relative quiet.”

While we’ll likely see more solar flares – and resulting complications – as we approach to 2025, there’s no need to fear a doomsday scenario.

Not only is there no need to fear a doomsday scenario, but there is also no need to enact business-crushing climate mandates or suppress scientific findings that don’t support preferred political narratives.

Maha Rushie used to have a saying, “Unintended Consequences”. When the taxes and prices get to the unbearable point, and electricity gets real expensive, I’m going to fire up my coal stove and fireplace with insert and burn all of the wood I can get my hands on. Everyone where I live (the reddest congressional district in the United States), will be doing the same thing. Climate change be damned.

If you’re not following Robert Zimmerman’s Sunspot Update on his Behind the Black website, you should be:

You don’t need to do any calculations. Mankind has absolutely zero impact on the Earth. Most have been brainwashed into believing the oldest religion known to man, that of earth worship.

That’s because PEOPLE have no appreciable impact on our global temperature. THE SUN, however, is the source of ALL energy on Earth, even the so-called fossil fuels are simply solar energy stored in chemical form.

And the best thing of all: the major greenhouse gas is water vapor.

How will they get rid of that?

They shouldn’t worry about that after somebody explains what a “greenhouse” is, how it works, and how it’s not a BAD thing to them.

“…even the so-called fossil fuels are simply solar energy stored in chemical form.”

Yeah, but oil is better than coal and oil from Saudi Arabia is better than oil from the United States. However, if the coal is used to generate electricity to recharge batteries for Electric cars then it is okay.

The passage of this bill is now in doubt. No Republican senator voted for it and Kevin McCarthy is now whipping the Republican congressmen to unite to the last man in voting against it in the House. Force the Dems to own this bill. The last time McCarthy did this the Republicans held. Pelosi kept enough Dems together to barely pass that bill. This time, Pelosi is on the way out and not very popular in her caucus.

We owe Trump a YUGE debt of thanks we can never repay for being willing to suffer through this without blinking. It takes more than ambition when you are risking everything and putting your own family at risk. Luckily, most of his family has stuck by him. Let’s hope DeSantis doesn’t have to go through this when he succeeds Trump. I doubt he would have survived this long.

Nothing will have any impact of global temperature. They have no data and they have no models, as far as mathematics and physics respectively are concerned. What they have is a newly discovered “public problem,” which is a political move when you then take ownership of it.

The major motivator for all this AGW falderal is man’s hubris; the belief that the way it is is the way it has always been and always should be.

The Earth strongly disagrees. The climatistas are worried about a 2.5 centimeter sea level rise. 125K years or so ago, in the last interglacial, the average sea level was 15-18 FEET above today’s level. During the ice ages, it was 400-600 feet lower. Humans had nothing to do with it. Zip.

It is all a power grab by the leftists to control people.

Considering the fact that humans have almost no effect on global temperature, that’s unsurprising, in the extreme.

NPR April 25:”[China]Official plans call for boosting coal production capacity by 300 million tons this year, according to news reports. That is equal to 7% of last year’s output of 4.1 billion tons, which was an increase of 5.7% over 2020″

According to 2017 figures (yes they’re old but I haven’t seen more recent ones), the US is 55th for emissions per square mile – China is 34th, with the worst offenders being small islands & nations e.g. Hong Kong or Macao. (Okay so they’re Chinese territories now but they’re treated as independent in the data for some reason).

Despite this, and despite the fact that most Western nations produce less than 1% of global emissions versus China’s one third and growing, climate activists are focused on Western nations slashing their emissions regardless of the economic and social devastation that will cause.

Why are they so committed to destroying the West for no significant gain? The only winner of such action will be China. Is that what the activists secretly desire?

Outcome they secretly desire? See Marx, Karl and Engels, Friedrich for illumination. Classic 1848 tome, a little piece called…

Is that a Bologna slice in your pic?

Anyone who tells you they can create an algorithm that can accurately predict global temperature rates in a decade or a hundred years, accurate to a fraction of a degree, and attribute that change to anything in particular, is either massively delusional or a liar of the highest order.
