CNN’s Don Lemon Wants Media To Treat Republicans As a Danger to Society

CNN’s Don Lemon Wants Media To Treat Republicans As a Danger to Society

“Republicans are doing something that is very dangerous to our society and we have to acknowledge that.”

CNN’s Don Lemon said on the air this week that the media should treat Republicans as a danger to society.

Brushing aside his ridiculous bias, one has to ask an obvious question. Don’t they already do that?

From the moment Trump was elected in 2016, pretty much every media outlet, with the exception of FOX News, dropped all pretense of objectivity.

CNN and MSNBC are treating the January 6th Committee hearings like the Nuremberg trials.

Who does Lemon think he’s kidding?

FOX News reports:

Don Lemon: Republicans must be treated as danger to society by media, cannot be ‘coddled’

Appearing on CNN’s New Day Thursday morning, Don Lemon once again urged the media to hold Republicans to a different standard than Democrats in their media coverage.

The primetime host tied the GOP to the threat of “growing extremism” on the right. He warned journalists to not give a “false equivalence” to both sides, and instead acknowledge Republicans were endangering America.

“We sit around and we talk about these things and we want to give this false equivalence to Democrats and Republicans. That is not where we are right now. Republicans are doing something that is very dangerous to our society and we have to acknowledge that. We have to acknowledge that as Americans, we must acknowledge that as journalists because if we don’t, we are not doing our jobs,” Lemon declared.

Of course, the root of this is the liberal media’s collective psychosis in the form of Trump Derangement Syndrome:

Lemon was referring to Republicans who continue to support former President Trump after the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol, as well as the recent Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“They have to answer for those questions if they come here on CNN, they must answer for that. If they go on MSNBC, they must answer for that. If they go on ABC, they must answer for that. And they cannot expect to be coddled when they go on to a news organization or if they step in front of a crowd of supporters or voters or Americans.”

Here’s the video:

Does Lemon think today’s media is like the media of 1987?

Some Democrats want to pack the Supreme Court and abolish the Senate. Are they a danger to society? How about the Democrat ground troops of Antifa?

Is Don’s new boss paying attention?

Lemon thinks no one remembers anything. His network spent four solid years trying to undo the results of the 2016 election. He is not in a position to lecture anyone on threats to democracy.

Nothing really new here.

Typical Marxist projecting- nothing more.

Demonize and Destroy by motivating the masses.

What i think they are doing is periodically doing this to make us expend resources addressing yet another of the same and using it to draw attention away from other more sinister things they are doing.

    Agitprop.

What is the over/under on Don Lemon getting some monkey pox in the Hamptons this summer?

It’s a lot worse: the left is (and has been for a long time) de-humanizing anyone or any organization in their way. The violence of 2021 (in honor of Junkie George) is just a taste of what’s coming.

Now that the military has been corrupted, and the bureaucrats inside our federal government have been corrupted and the Anita and BLM goons have been organized and paid: look for the first shots of the next civil war coming from our own government.

Still want a swamp has-been like Kevin McCarthy in charge of the next GOP House? Or worse, McConnell in charge of the next GOP Senate?

Lemon is an advocate not a journalist and should leave CNN if he does not like the new regime

2smartforlibs | July 15, 2022 at 9:17 am

Talk about drinking your own Kool-Aid.

It’s time for Don to strike out into the real world and look for a real job. Maybe as a male Gigolo

His stage name could be Urkel

    He’d have to pay them.

He has my vote as “most likely to get monkey pox” real soon now.

Milhouse in reply to TimMc. | July 15, 2022 at 10:40 am

The phrase “male gigolo” grates on me, because it implies there can be some other kind of gigolo. Isn’t the definition of “gigolo” a call-boy with a female clientele? (One with a male clientele is a “hustler”.)

      n.n in reply to Milhouse. | July 15, 2022 at 3:03 pm

      Not necessarily.

      gigolo (n.)

“professional male escort or dancing partner, young man supported financially by an older woman in exchange for his attentions,” 1922, from French gigolo, formed as a masc. of gigole “tall, thin woman; dancing girl; prostitute,” perhaps from verb gigoter “to move the shanks, hop,” from gigue “shank” (12c.), also “fiddle,” Old French giga from Frankish *giga- or some other Germanic word (compare German Geige “fiddle”). This is perhaps the same word that was borrowed earlier as Middle English giglot (early 14c.) “lewd, wanton girl,” which was later applied to males (mid-15c.) with the sense “villainous man.” It is perhaps related to a number of words in Germanic meaning “dance, gambol,” and “fiddle,” perhaps connected by the notion of “rapid, whirling motion” (see gig (n.1)). Middle English gigletry meant “lasciviousness, harlotry” (late 14c.).

It reminds me of the singular, exlusive characterization of religion.

      religion (n.)
      Origin and meaning of religion

      c. 1200, religioun, “state of life bound by monastic vows,” also “action or conduct indicating a belief in a divine power and reverence for and desire to please it,” from Anglo-French religiun (11c.), Old French religion, relegion “piety, devotion; religious community,” and directly from Latin religionem (nominative religio) “respect for what is sacred, reverence for the gods; conscientiousness, sense of right, moral obligation; fear of the gods; divine service, religious observance; a religion, a faith, a mode of worship, cult; sanctity, holiness,” in Late Latin “monastic life” (5c.).

      Let us bray (sic).

Well it gives you yet another thing to nitpick and another opportunity to be the biggest know it all in the room, so revel in it, MENSA Man!

Mensa man? Mensa man??? Those are fightin’ words!

More than one filter is needed. An individual must filter what goes out, but also filter how they receive what’s coming in. Sometimes, just let things go without comment. I have in the past been harsh towards some commenters. However this commenter, Milhouse, frequently gives erudite and diverse observations. I would encourage tolerance and advocate for his willingness to share his unique perspective.

And how did the response show that “male gigolo” isn’t redundant?

ArmyStrong in reply to Jack Klompus. | July 17, 2022 at 8:18 am

It would be productive if all people wishing to comment would first graduate from Junior High School and leave out the puerile personal insults. It is truly counterproductive and belittles both the author and the reader.

They want to ban all other parties and everyone knows it by now.

If he hasn’t the sense to stop going up the down staircase, his opinions are worthless.

When they ask ‘Who radicalized you?’ the answer will always be, ‘You did.’

I think that, to be honest with you, I do believe that we should rightly give Lemon’s musings the significance they deserve so they will not diminish with the passage of time.

While we certainly believe certain issues are just settled as fits our narrative, we realize that some people actually think and ask questions we seriously do not feel needs to be addressed because of the answers.

The whole nation must be made to understand and have a level of empathy to understand that if we lose control of the narrative, there will be a serious risk of us exposing ourselves as what we really are and up to.

This is why we should stand together united in our support of Don and his musings about why we must stop the republicans because we know how upsetting it will be if people see the truth.

Seriously, the danger to society we face is that all the benefits we are bringing to the people for their benefit will not be realized if the people seriously and objectively look at what we are really doing because there is a clear misunderstanding of what we are doing to benefit you while benefitting us is seriously important to you.

Thank you

The Reaganesque party of 1987 was treated exactly the same as he wants to treat the GOP today. It was the “literally Hitler” of its day. The GOP has pretty much always been “literally Hitler”, ever since the actual Hitler.

Yeah, Lemon and the rest of the d/prog pine for the good old days when r and d could go out together in DC and have drinks after a hard day of working across the aisle fleecing the taxpayers. Back when scandals were hushed up and not referred to at all, unless there was a particular r who had sufficiently PO the media.

Hard pass on that Don. Y’all thought the ‘arc of history’ had finally arrived and your moment had come to rip off your mask of moderation and let all the weirdo ideas run loose. You are upset not because folks noticed but because they reject your tribalism and cultish adherence to neo Marxist policies and Soviet era propaganda.

You let your freak flag fly and seem upset that folks are calling you a freak. Now you want to silence those who disagree, drive them out of the public square or worse. I doubt you get many folks on this side to take a voluntary trip on your train.

What rock has he been hiding under? Has he not been watching/reading the Gaslight Media these last several years!?

How irrelevant does a guy have to before management kicks him out? People are going to tune in to hear THAT?

Until CNN fires him, they’re just putting out more of the same, regardless of what Licht says

Peabody in reply to rochf. | July 15, 2022 at 1:28 pm

Don Lemon is just a bitter little man. Only a select group of people tune in to keep sucking his little sour puss.

The party is losing steam … kegs have run dry … food is gone … the venue is trashed … meanwhile the host frantically appeals for guests to stay …

The host can put on a suit and tie, bring in sound and light on a eye-popping backdrop, but still sound like a whiney teenager pleading with his ‘friends’ not to abandon him …

dawn lemon aka “the monkeypox kid”

Lay-mon, in the picture, has his glasses on. Sort of like good old Marie Harf, the dumb blonde who put on smart girl glasses when she wanted to pretend to be smart. Glasses aren’t helping either of them.

The far left acts as if they want a civil war (while they own the military of course)

Evil Otto in reply to geronl. | July 15, 2022 at 6:49 pm

They do. Look at how much they’ve milked January 6th. If there was a full-scale uprising they think they would finally have the opportunity to crack down on the hated right once and for all.

Even beyond the actual content and stories, just look at the the physical appearance of many of the people appearing on these shows as hosts or guests, little wonder why the numbers are circling the drain these days.

Lemon is the equivalent of dog poo.

And CNN is the employer of dog poo. I would never watch the channel.

Dliefsarb Yrral | July 16, 2022 at 12:28 am

I’m struggling to imagine why I should care what the dumbest man on television, (who we were told is Don Lemon), says anybody else should do. He is a professional liar who gained his position because he is melaniferous rather than perspicuous.

‘Republicans are a danger to society’!!!…….said the man who advocates a lifestyle of immoral and lewd sex acts with other men, that spreads the AIDS virus that has killed hundreds of thousands, and costs tens of millions of dollars a year to treat in those who refuse to stop engaging in said sex acts. Also, a man who never met an unborn baby he would not advocate killing. Yeah Don….republicans are the problem…yeah.

No Don, you are the true threat to Democracy. The founders wanted to support the media as a check on the political class, but they never conceived of “journalists” like you who are wholly owned by the progressives. You hide behind first amendment protections while failing to live up the the lowest threshold of journalistic competence.

If you believe Republicans (Conservatives) are such a danger, why do you keep daring them to take you out? Why are you taunting and egging on people you think want to kill you?

drsamherman | July 22, 2022 at 5:14 pm

Seems like the Monkeypox Marxist is just another bitter old queen.
