‘Stop Giving In’: Customers Blast Grocery Store Pulling Pro-American Items

Harris Teeter, a supermarket based on the east coast, received criticism for caving and removing patriotic items after a few people complained.
Christy Clark, a woman running for NC House District 98, cannot believe Harris Teeter sold t-shirts promoting the 2nd Amendment.
Clark tagged Kroger because that’s Harris Teeter’s parent company.
Thanks for reaching out, Christy. As soon as these items were brought to our attention we put a recall request into place and these items are being removed from all store locations. We appreciate your concern.

It may be a safe and proper move for Harris Teeter. From the looks of their places I have been to, thier chief customer base is
angry, ugly les… women who drive Subaru Foresters.Haha, Grizzly! I made a joke about lesbians driving Suburus and the wife looked at me like I had 2 heads. One day, after a few months had passed, she said “I see what you mean now”.
Oddly enough, I am considering an Outback, or if they put in better seats, an Ascent.
Had a Forester as a rental back in 2017. Hardly a speed-bomb or luxury, but it was one really FUN car to drive.
Some years ago I was lent a Subaru by the dealership repairing the late Mrs. McG’s Honda while we were on a vacation trip. I liked it, but it was a sedan; one of us needed a car with actual cargo capacity.
I have given thought to an Outback or a Forester, but my current ride is only ten years old.
You’d be lucky to get 10 years out of a Subaru.
My 18 year old Toyota runs like new and still looks great.
I plan on getting another 18 easy.
Suburban. Have two, 300,000+ miles on both of them and still running like new.
Subaru, toyota, honda, none of them will routinely do that.
Tom: I live in country where AWD vehicles are very common. I regularly see 20th century Subarus around town running just fine.

I traded in my 1st Forester – a 2005 base model – in 2018 with 215k+ miles on it, and someone’s probably still driving it around town …
The only reason I gave it up is the 2,000- mile RT driving trips I take up and down the East coast by myself several times a year and not being used to cars lasting that long.
Plus, I had the finances to get a new base model 2018, so why not?! 🙂

Last summer I was in line at the local grocery store wearing the tee-shirt of a local gun shop which of course, has a gun as part of the logo. There are two women in front of me, obvious out of state tourists, looking at my shirt, clearly agitated.
I end up asking them how they’re enjoying their visit to our beautiful state. The first thing out of them was the statement “we don’t like guns”. I say oh, does this mean you won’t be coming back?
They ignore me and I see their license plate in the parking lot confirming my suspicions of their liberal home state. They probably would have gone into cardiac arrest if they had known we have Constitutional carry and I was carrying my H&K P7 in an SOB holster.
Ignorant loons.
The clueless can often be fun.
I had (and still have) a license plate that reads F U R F A C E. A woman on a St. Lawrence Seaway ferry saw it. “Furface…. sir? Do you have dogs?”
Her husband was standing to one side. The eye-roll was priceless.

Mine is usually, “So sorry to hear about your phobia! We have treatments for that here!”
Invite them to the range.
The correct response is “Madame, ceci n’est pas un fusil. Ah, I see you’re confused. Well, it’s a Magritte reference; I wouldn’t expect the uncultured to understand.” Then stare off, conspicuously ignoring them.

I’m disappointed to hear this. Kroger has, up until now, been a pretty reliable ally on constitutional rights.
Or maybe somebody at Kroger just needs to take the Harris-Teeter gang out behind the woodshed for a talk.
It’s up to the customer base to withdraw their patronage sufficiently to demonstrate that the Twitter Karen scolds are too insignificant to base policy on.
You know the drill. It doesn’t stop until they are forced to pay a price.

If Harris Teeter is so concerned about products that cause death there is a whole laundry list of items they should get off shelves. Thinking about such things that lead to obesity, heart attacks, etc. Let’s not discriminate Harris Teeter. Let’s remove all unhealthy products.
As you note, Clark is running for the NC House of Representatives. She is fighting to regain the seat she lost in 2020. What is not mentioned is that she has been an activist with Bloomberg’s Moms Demand Action. I believe she was even the state coordinator before she ran the first time in 2018.
Harris Teeter is what you get when southern hillbillies try to copy Wegmans. I generally avoid them but they do have some things that others don’t have so I’m not a crank about it. And every Harris Teeter store had a filthy bathroom. And one of them here in Hooterville has a broken pipe or something and totally smells like sewage. Which is what you get when you let southern hillbillies do things.
