BIPOC Teachers at Oregon Elementary School Claim Eye-Rolling at Principal is Form of White Supremacy

A group of teachers at an elementary school in Oregon who identify as BIPOC, meaning Black, Indigenous, and people of color, are up in arms over other members of the staff allegedly rolling their eyes at the principal.

They also claim to have identified a number of similar “microaggressions.”

I’m almost rolling my eyes as I write this. [FS: I am definitely rolling my eyes as I edit this.]

Hannah Grossman reports at FOX News:

Oregon ‘BIPOC’ teachers claims eye-rolling is an example of a ‘harmful practice rooted in White supremacy’

Oregon teachers at the Errol Hassell Elementary School sent school administrators an email claiming that eye-rolling directed at a principal, among other alleged actions they observed, is an example of a “harmful practice rooted in White supremacy” that is happening in the workplace.

The educators from the Beaverton School District said in an email on May 27 that they had become of aware of a “rumor” that Principal Cynthia Lam Moffett was on the chopping block.

“We believe that much of the resistance to Principal Moffett’s work… is a result of bias and targeted aggression. As BIPOC educators we have observed, experienced, and witnessed similar micro and macro aggressions,” the email said. BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

The teachers included an extensive list of “micro and macro aggressions.” Many of them were concerning the staff’s responses to the principal. It said, “Staff members rolled their eyes during… meetings while Principal Moffett is speaking”

It continued, “Staff raised their voice and interrupted Principal Moffet during… meetings, and spoke in a disrespectful and aggressive manner.”

Everyone on the left seems to regard themselves as an activist these days and believes their flawed workplace can be improved through their activism.

And of course, they are the victims in all this:

After listing out all their complaints, the teachers asked why they are being labeled “divisive” when they are trying to dismantle those “harmful practices rooted in White supremacy.”

This February Newsweek article about the school explains much about the environment. Remember, this is an elementary school:

Dad Calls Out School’s ‘Lack of Transparency’ With Social Justice Lesson

A father of an Oregon elementary school student has sought legal counsel following the removal of his child without his permission from her classroom during lessons of a social justice curriculum initiative.

After previously filing a complaint concerning what Jeff Myers described as a “lack of transparency” about Errol Hassell Elementary School’s 21-Day Social Justice Challenge, Myers filed a separate complaint after his daughter was pulled out of her classroom and told to sit in the hallway with a book during one of the social justice lessons. When his daughter asked why she had to sit outside, her teacher told her that her father had requested it.

“The principal told my kid’s teacher to remove her from the 21-day challenge lessons, which I absolutely did not ever ask for or even hint at,” Myers told Newsweek, noting that he never wanted his daughter to feel singled out, excluded or embarrassed…

He is now seeking legal advice regarding the incident. His previous complaint to Beaverton School District concerned the alleged dismissiveness from the school’s principal Cynthia Moffett towards his inquiries about the 21-day challenge.

According to the Beaverton School District’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, the program’s goal is to “learn more about ourselves and each other to serve the entire EHSL community with more efficacy and empathy.”

Progressives are turning schools into left-wing political indoctrination centers that ignore the teaching of basic skills.

Why do parents put up with it?

Were I in a position to do so, I’d fire the lot of them, especially in a state where employment at will laws existed. It would be a variation on a theme of what Netflix and Musk did.

Someone should tell these people something to the effect of “Jesus loves you’. They’ll go into conniptions for days thus sparing the children for at least a little while. Then when they get back say ‘all lives matter’, and other mundane statements for effect.

    Or just tell them GFY.

If they ask what it means, tell them, “Why, it means ‘God Forgives You,’ of course!”

Every time I tell my kid to clean his room, I get an eye roll. I didn’t realize until just now that I was dealing with a white supremacist.

Let me see if I have this straight. Eye rolling is disrespectful. Speaking forcefully is disrespectful. Refusing to submit is disrespectful. Moreover these actions are a civil rights violation. 😂

Shall we now apply these same standards to every interaction? Perhaps we could retroactively apply these ‘standards’ to history and see if they are practical. I seem to recall situations in our very recent history when people engaged in far more demonstrably violent, outspoken and confrontational manner; should those mostly peaceful actions now be characterized as civil rights violations and prosecuted accordingly?

If not, because of arguments about social justice and equity which are themselves based upon tribalism and division, what does that indicate about those who are the proponents? Simple, it tells us they are incorrigible racists who seek to use the power of govt to achieve their unlawfully discriminatory aims whenever and wherever possible.

“harmful practice rooted in White supremacy”

    Sez who?

Isn’t it possible that staff members rolled their eyes because Principal Moffett was saying something really stupid?

Well, eye rolling and interrupting others is disrespectful.
But, are they doing it because they’re rude? Or perhaps because they can no longer stand being steamrolled by an idiot with a lot of words? Or, the off-chance that maybe there’s a racist in the group?

People this stupid have no business being around children in any capacity.

Inhaling and exhaling when speaking to me is disrepectful. Please cease doing so when speaking to me or I will have to report you to the proper authorities.

Wow. Beware ludicrous lefties. Between the ‘OK’ hand sign, and eye rolls, White Boy Summer is gonna be lit!

Get your kids out of these insane asylums. I was a long time in coming to that position, but now I give this advice unreservedly.

TheOldZombie | June 26, 2022 at 1:45 pm

How long until we get to the point where just being alive is a white supremacy?

The constant ‘othering’ is eventually going to lead there. Of course the lefties will get a surprise when try to do something about it.

Eye roll please…

A nation of sniveling pants-wetters.

As a brain scientist I can tell you that eye-rolling is an unconditioned reflex. It happens when people with brains with intact logic centers encounter extreme stupidity. We cannot help it. It is like asking stupid people to not drag their knuckles or breathe through their mouths.

Intact logic centers. That explains why the BIPOCs don’t get it.

Can we just call them BIPOX and create a vaccine?

The left has to gone to such extremes on everything, the pendulum swinging back is going to hit them hard

They need to be rickrolled. Let them get a taste of THAT kind of white supremacy!
