Cry Harder: Triggered Leftists Get ‘RIP Twitter’ Trending After Reports of Twitter Sale to Elon Musk

“At its root, @ElonMusk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power. The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech,” raged Shaun King.

It would appear that it’s all over but the crying at this point for leftists on Twitter as the popular social media platform has just announced that “it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entity wholly owned by Elon Musk, for $54.20 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion.”

Musk has long been a critic of Twitter’s suppression tactics when it comes to criticism of Democrats and Democrat pet agenda items and has hinted that he would bring changes to the platform that Twitter critics hope would balance it out and make it a more level playing field between conservatives and liberals.

Musk seemed to confirm as much in a tweet posted last week in response to another Twitter user who speculated on what his focus would be if a deal was reached:

As reports swirled this morning that an agreement was imminent, triggered Twitter leftists got “RIP Twitter” to trend, and The Usual Suspects lined up just as they did a week or so ago when Musk first made his offer to toss around terms like “white supremacy,” “corporate greed,” and to fret over whether this would mean Donald Trump would be allowed to return:

There were also the Hitler comparisons because of course there were:

All that said, there were a few who advised their “RESIST” comrades to remain on the platform for better or for worse:

“Facebook is an aggressive propaganda machine for the far right and the beliefs and ethics of Donald Trump.” In what alternative universe does this guy reside?

“Leave Twitter” also trended for a time, as conservatives lined up to dunk on panicked leftists:

In a cryptic tweet sent earlier today, Musk expressed his desire for his critics to remain on Twitter:

But if not, leftists can take the advice they used to give to frustrated conservatives and start their own platform, right? Oh wait, I forgot for a second that Facebook and Instagram are already in existence.

Leftist tears are going to flood the country

I wonder how that… zir… in the top photo feels about having become the de facto national icon of the childish political tantrum?

billi in reply to henrybowman. | April 26, 2022 at 8:35 am

Henrybowman. Thinking the same thing. Hope so! Question? What if my hero Mr Musk, put a button on Twitter that if a percentage of the twitter population pushed that button the tweet would be deleted never to be seen again. Sort of a pure democratic solution to stupidity.

billi in reply to Skip. | April 26, 2022 at 8:39 am

Was on twitter from here What a bunch of whining wailing screeching bitter dweebs on there.

taurus the judge | April 25, 2022 at 3:37 pm

I have a feeling the left is going to feel the significance of this as time passes

Oh yes I agree. There is great significance to the passage of time—as time passes the media is losing control of the narrative and the left is losing their mind.

I have taken the time to consider the significance of your statement. The passage of that time itself has significance – so much significance that I do not have time to fully describe it, for it would take a significant amount of time.

You might want to take some time contemplating space: “Space is so exciting. It spurs our imaginations and it forces us to ask big questions—such as how Affirmative Action can launch a totally unprepared and unqualified person into the White House.”

Twitter just accepted Musks bid

The thought of Trump returning has them making water in they pants like a little girl.

Thank you, Eduard Delacroix

Lots of tweets announcing that they will be leaving Twitter. Who are they talking to? Go already!

MoeHowardwasright | April 25, 2022 at 3:58 pm

May I make a suggestion? Instead of going to Canada, would the libs please go to Lake Powell and stand on the shoreline. This way their tears would save the lake and the generating capacity of the dam!

Lucifer Morningstar | April 25, 2022 at 3:58 pm

Blah, blah, black, apartheid, blah blah, white nationalist, raged Shaun King.”

What the hell? Talcum X still thinks he’s in any manner relevant? Good Lord, just how pathetic is that.

I don’t use Facebook, but I have a hard time believing it’s a right wing echo chamber.

Yeah, that’s not an actual thing. I quit Facebook because of the leftist idiocy. Folks on the right are not welcome there, or at least that is the easily-perceived message.

Peabody in reply to Paddy M. | April 25, 2022 at 5:21 pm

Facebook is more of a “look at me and tell me how great I am” than it is an echo chamber.

Facebook is a right wing echo chambeer? How long was I asleep!

henrybowman in reply to Pasadena Phil. | April 25, 2022 at 9:02 pm

In a freak mishap, Facebook 1 and its pilot, Captain Pasadena Phil, are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life-support systems and returns Pasadena Phil to Earth… five… hundred… years… later.

      (“Bidi-bidi-bidi-bidi-let’s go, Brandon!”)

Facebook is an aggressive propaganda machine for the far right and the beliefs and ethics of Donald Trump

And even this lunatic thought Twitter was far enough to the left to suit him?! That’s the best proof yet that Musk is right.

CommoChief in reply to Milhouse. | April 25, 2022 at 7:33 pm

If these wackos think FB is ‘MAGA country’ then a great deal of their nonsense becomes much more clear. Their scale and sense of proportion is broken so it’s no wonder they would believe that everything to right of FB is evil.

Trump should have done this…

I’m betting truth Social is in. If trouble

AnAdultInDiapers in reply to gonzotx. | April 25, 2022 at 5:33 pm

I don’t think Trump has (or could raise) $46bn.

That’s a lot of money. Seriously, that’s a fucking stupendous amount of money. Entire countries can’t raise that sort of funding.

Trump couldn’t do this because he doesn’t have the money. Musk is one of if not the richest people in the entire world (think about that because it’s mind-boggling, not just richer than Bill Gates but richer than ME oil barons, than commie dictators like Putin, than everyone). Trump is worth roughly $2.5B, just buying up the 9.2% of Twitter he started with from his own pocket, Musk shelled out more than that (at $2.9B). That would be more than Trump is worth, but it was pocket change to Musk. I can’t even wrap my mind around that much money, to be honest, but then, I was just forced to buy off-brand frozen pizza because I refused to pay the new and disgusting Bidenflation price for DiGiorno’s. 😛

I deleted my Twitter account years ago, when they started with this nonsense during Gamergate. Maybe I should start a new one. Then again, I never used the old one, which I had opened when Twitter was new and nobody had yet figured out what it was for.

Martin in reply to Milhouse. | April 25, 2022 at 4:46 pm

Have they figured it out yet ’cause I haven’t paid enough attention to know.

I deleted mine shortly after they banned President Trump and after having been shadowbanned for years. I did rejoin when the news hit that Musk was gobbling up stock and preparing to buy Twitter, but so far, I am just lurking and enjoying the hell out of the leftie meltdown. If you rejoin, and assuming this buyout goes through, look me up @fuzislippers. If it doesn’t go through, I’m out again since there’s really no reason for me to be there with all the blocks and shadowbans and suppression of “wrongthink.”

    Capsaicin_Addict in reply to Milhouse. | April 26, 2022 at 11:53 am

It’s weird how it always seems to circle back to Gamergate, where things came completely unglued because a bunch of people pointed out there was a conflict of interest over reviewing a game (and I use that word loosely) when you’re literally in bed with the developer.

https://karlstack.substack.com/p/the-slime-machine-targeting-libs?s=r
Read the above article which clearly implicates Twitter current employees and a former employee involved in the oh so woke West German government’s effort at compiling data called “hate lists” ( i.e. conservatives), . especially a very recent case involving Libs of Tik Tok. It is must reading on how such information is harvested and then makes the legacy media. I hope that the owner of that site commences a massive civil case against the reporter, the WP and all who aided , approved and abetted the doxing. Musk demolishes Twitter and restores freedom of speech to social media. This may be the second sinking of the Titanic we will get to witness after the demise of CNN

In what alternative universe does this guy reside?

The one Karl Marx and his newest disciples in the US created. The one where Brandon is POTUS.

E Howard Hunt | April 25, 2022 at 4:42 pm

I have no Twitter account. I do not know how to tweet. I have never read a tweet. I have only a vague idea how it works. I am happy to ignore this lowbrow medium.

Just when I have finally grown accustomed to pumping my own gas, a blaring TV commercial now erupts from the pump with some street-meat looking harlot informing me in valley girl uptalk of the latest celebrity gossip. God save me. Maybe Putin save me.

henrybowman in reply to E Howard Hunt. | April 25, 2022 at 9:04 pm

Just be careful, she’s almost certainly underage.

” blaring TV commercial now erupts from the pump with some street-meat looking harlot”

I’m always laughing at the gas pump. They bring on some chick whose claim to fame is she showed her tits, to give me tips on how to live my life…

      Pepsi_Freak in reply to Barry. | April 26, 2022 at 9:35 am

Your gas pump talks to you? Really?

Mine simply pumps gas and gives no indication of anthropomorphism (except it emits a maniacal giggle when the amount goes past the $50 mark).

“Will he allow a Criminal who used this platform to lie and spread disinformation to try to overthrow the US Government to return and continue his Criminal activity? ”

I was unaware they ever kicked BIDEN off

It’s because he’s African-American, right?

“Airports should be packed today with all of those people threatening to leave the country if Elon Musk acquires Twitter.”

These people always make such promises, but they never follow through with them. I remember all those who said, “If Trump is elected, I’m moving to Canada.” Virtually none of them kept that promise.
Don’t let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out.

There’s something Musk can’t fix and that’s cancellation.

Most conservatives avoid Twitter because of the leftist cancel mobs. I’m not sure how he can do that unless his lawyers work some serious magic with TOS, and I don’t think it can be done (especially not in a way that preserves free speech).

The risk is still not worth the reward even if the censorship problem is fixed.

Most conservatives avoid Twitter because we were shadowbanned and had our tweets suppressed. No one on the right and prominent on Twitter is worried about being cancelled. What do you think Professor Jacobson would say if some leftie informed him that I support [fill in the blank with any position I actually hold]? He’s not going to fire me, he’s going to ask me to do a feature on whatever that thing is and then he’s going to highlight it in our LI newsletter and on the website. He’d also likely do a whole separate post on the laughable and failed attempt to cancel me and include the actual email/notice/whatever.

Most conservatives (who weren’t banned) left Twitter in absolute disgust. Our accounts were shadowbanned, our tweets suppressed, our reach limited to . . . pretty much no one. We left because they banned President Trump (if they can ban him, the sitting president, they can ban anyone). We left because being on Twitter was not in the least bit useful in any way that mattered.

healthguyfsu in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | April 25, 2022 at 11:50 pm

Average Joes and Janes who don’t work in a business where they know their views are supported can easily be doxxed and cancelled.

You happen to work in one of those environments…try to recognize that it is not the norm, particularly with the vocal harpies that are effective at getting people canned.

Oh, I know how blessed I am, make no mistake! I just think that the threat of the cancel culture leftist mobs is diminishing even for people who are not as blessed as I. I don’t know by how much, but I do know that companies are figuring out that if they wait a few days, the din dies down and the mob moves on to new chum in the water. Companies are also figuring out that they gain exactly nothing by caving to the leftist mobs. Put all that together, and the leftist grip on our culture is slip sliding away. I’m good with that.

healthguyfsu in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | April 26, 2022 at 1:50 am

I don’t share your immediate optimism, but I am hopeful for the future.

There’s been fewer firings because people have been smarter about self-censoring. See the recent article pointing out that college conservatives self-censor at an alarming rate and don’t even have a job on the line yet. This fight is far from over.

      Ron did not leave.

CommoChief in reply to healthguyfsu. | April 25, 2022 at 10:32 pm

The cancel mob is going to be pretty busy what with all the hysterical predictions Twitter is turning into 4chan….maybe they won’t notice you?

    “leftist cancel mobs”

They cannot cancel you if you don’t allow it.

But Talcum X mouthing off is too good to pass up.

guyjones in reply to Arminius. | April 26, 2022 at 8:52 am

Yeah, I saw Talcum X’s “tweet.” I can’t believe that this race-shifting poser — still engaged in a watered-down blackface, in an attempt to boost his own career, his prominence, and, ultimately, his bank account — hasn’t been made persona non grata, among Dumb-o-crats.

For all their perennial histrionics about “cultural appropriation,” the Dumbs don’t seem to have a problem with white Dumb-o-crats who assume hair styles and other contrived appearance changes, in order to pass themselves off as allegedly black.

F. them…..LOL….LMAO at them!

Will conservatives receive reparations now?

A free, accepting and unbiased forum accommodating all points of view is the bedrock of any Constitutional Republic. Twitter was failing miserably in that regard excluding anything but the”woke” and “socially acceptable” LIEberal DemoKKKRAAT points of view. Hopefully, Mr. Musk will reconfigure Twitter into an unbiased public forum as it was originally intended to be.

Can a reconfigured Facebook be far behind?
