Politifact Rushes to Biden’s Aid After ‘Bull Connor’ Smear Backfires

Politifact Rushes to Biden’s Aid After ‘Bull Connor’ Smear Backfires

“While Biden didn’t explicitly accuse those who don’t support the voting bill of being racists, he did say that their vote would be remembered unfavorably in history, much like the actions of those past figures who didn’t support civil rights or an end to slavery.”

Because Democrats are so used to getting a pass from the mainstream media every time they trot out the race card against their political opposition, the last week and a half of the Biden administration continuing to get peppered with questions about the racially-charged smears Biden made during his Georgia speech earlier this month have to be giving the White House nightmares.

For those who missed it, during the speech Biden gave during a so-called “voting rights” rally in Georgia on January 11th, here’s what Biden said about people who disagree with him on changing the Senate’s rule on the filibuster and/or who disagree with him on his “voting rights” bills:

“I ask every elected official in America: How do you want to be remembered? Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis? This is the moment to decide. To defend our elections. To defend our democracy.”

Watch:

No doubt, Biden and his fellow Democrats thought they could get away with equating Republicans and Democrat Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin to notable Democrat racists from the past, but there are reporters in the White House press corps who haven’t let him off the hook, including Fox News’s Peter Doocy and RealClearNews’s Philip Wegmann.

On several occasions since that Georgia speech, White House press secretary Jen Psaki has been asked about what Biden said and how that squared with his campaign pledge to be a uniter and not treat his political opponents as “enemies.” Her answers only muddied the waters as she essentially doubled down on what Biden claimed while bizarrely suggesting at the same time that he wasn’t actually saying anyone was a racist.

But during President Biden’s press conference this past Thursday – the one where he preemptively declared the 2022 midterms as potentially “illegitimate,” he was directly confronted by Wegmann about his remarks in what ended up being a very revealing and unflattering moment for Biden:

Naturally, when Democrats have boxed themselves into a corner, which the Biden administration absolutely has done here, we see so-called “fact-checkers” jump in to try and rescue them, which is exactly what happened after that disastrous Thursday presser.

Here’s Politifact, claiming Joe Biden’s Bull Connor comments needed “context”:

In the piece, they noted who Connor, Wallace, and Davis were from a historical perspective before specifically pointing to Biden’s “heated” back and forth with Wegmann, which lets me know that Biden’s embarrassing answer was the catalyst behind their “contextual” look at his Georgia speech. What they claimed, however, defies all logic:

“Go back and read what I said,” he told Wegmann.

We went back to read what he said. While Biden didn’t explicitly accuse those who don’t support the voting bill of being racists, he did say that their vote would be remembered unfavorably in history, much like the actions of those past figures who didn’t support civil rights or an end to slavery.

This Twitter user had perhaps the best translation of them all in response to Politifact’s failed attempts at spinning this issue in a more favorable light for Biden:

Others responded accordingly as well:

Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton provided a timely reminder as to what was especially troubling about fact-checkers continuing to carry water for Democrats:

While that’s true, unfortunately for the Politifacts of the world every time they get caught running blatant interference for one political party over the other – which happens often – another layer of their supposed credibility burns to the ground, with fewer and fewer people trusting anything they say, and for good reason.

Nobody cares what Biden said. Sensitivity to being called or compared to this or that is leftist, and even they fake offense. It’s not a power move, it’s embracing idiocy.

Or the Democrat party. But I repeat myself….

You should care about what words Democrats use to describe people like you.

The words they use are then used by Democrat brown shirts to dehumanise you which then makes it perfectly acceptable for the likes of you to be physically attacked.

Biden’s devolved into the bliterhing idiot he actually is, and Jen Psaki has devolved into “Bagdad Bob”, except it’s not funny anymore.

    https://www.liveabout.com/baghdad-bob-quotes-4068522

Just insert Jen Psaki’s name, and change a few facts:

      Baghdad Bob on the Invasion

Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf made so many statements as information minister. Here is a sampling of some of his more outlandish quotes:

“There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!”
“My feelings, as usual, we will slaughter them all.”
“Our initial assessment is that they will all die.”
“No I am not scared and neither should you be!”
“We will welcome them with bullets and shoes.”
“They’re not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion … they are trying to sell to the others an illusion.”
“Faltering forces of infidels cannot just enter a country of 26 million people and lay besiege to them! They are the ones who will find themselves under siege. Therefore, in reality, whatever this miserable Rumsfeld has been saying, he was talking about his own forces. Now even the American command is under siege.”
“Washington has thrown their soldiers on the fire.”
“They fled. The American louts fled. Indeed, concerning the fighting waged by the heroes of the Arab Socialist Baath Party yesterday, one amazing thing really is the cowardice of the American soldiers. we had not anticipated this.”
“God will roast their stomachs in hell at the hands of Iraqis.”
“They tried to bring a small number of tanks and personnel carriers in through al-Durah but they were surrounded and most of their infidels had their throats cut.”
“I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they have started to commit suicide under the walls of Baghdad. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly.”

      On Iraq’s Military Strength

‘We have destroyed 2 tanks, fighter planes, 2 helicopters and their shovels. We have driven them back.”
“We have them surrounded in their tanks.”
“We made them drink poison last night and Saddam Hussein’s soldiers and his great forces gave the Americans a lesson which will not be forgotten by history. Truly.”
“On this occasion, I am not going to mention the number of the infidels who were killed and the number of destroyed vehicles. The operation continues.”
“We’re giving them a real lesson today. Heavy doesn’t accurately describe the level of casualties we have inflicted.”
“Today we slaughtered them in the airport. They are out of Saddam International Airport. The force that was in the airport, this force was destroyed.”
“Their forces committed suicide by the hundreds. … The battle is very fierce and God made us victorious. The fighting continues.”
“Yesterday, we slaughtered them and we will continue to slaughter them.”
“We will push those crooks, those mercenaries back into the swamp.”
“We have retaken the airport. There are no Americans there. I will take you there and show you. In one hour.”
“We defeated them yesterday. God willing, I will provide you with more information. I swear by God, I swear by God, those who are staying in Washington and London have thrown these mercenaries in a crematorium.”
“It has been rumored that we have fired Scud missiles into Kuwait. I am here now to tell you, we do not have any scud missiles and I don’t know why they were fired into Kuwait.”
“This boa, the American columns, are being besieged between Basra and other towns north, west, south and west of Basra….Now even the American command is under siege. We are hitting it from the north, east, south, and west. We chase them here and they chase us there.”
“By God, I think this is rather very unlikely. This is merely a prattle. The fact is that as soon as they reach Baghdad gates, we will besiege them and slaughter them….Wherever they go they will find themselves encircled.”
“Listen, this explosion does not frighten us any longer. The cruise missiles do not frighten anyone. We are catching them like fish in a river. I mean here that over the past two days we managed to shoot down 196 missiles before they hit their target.”

      On the Western Media

“Just look carefully, I only want you to look carefully. Do not repeat the lies of liars. Do not become like them. Once again, I blame Al-Jazeera before it ascertains what takes place. Please, make sure of what you say and do not play such a role.”
“I blame Al-Jazeera – they are marketing for the Americans!”
“Search for the truth. I tell you things and I always ask you to verify what I say. I told you yesterday that there was an attack and a retreat at Saddam’s airport.”
“You can go and visit those places. Nothing there, nothing at all. There are Iraqi checkpoints. Everything is okay.”

On George Bush and Tony Blair

“These cowards have no morals. They have no shame about lying.”
“Blair…is accusing us of executing British soldiers. We want to tell him that we have not executed anybody. They are either killed in battle, most of them get killed because they are cowards anyway, the rest they just get captured.”
“When we were making the law when we were writing the literature and the mathematics the grandfathers of Blair and little Bush were scratching around in caves.”
“They do not even have control over themselves! Do not believe them!”
Britain “is not worth an old shoe.”
“W. Bush, this man is a war criminal, and we will see that he is brought to trial.”
“I think the British nation has never been faced with a tragedy like this fellow [Blair].”
“Iraqi fighters in Umm Qasr are giving the hordes of American and Brtish mercenaries the taste of definite death. We have drawn them into a quagmire and they will never get out of it.”

Here’s some context. A dear man and former colleague of mine for decades, who grew up on a farm near Monroe, Louisiana, and who spent his entire life not knowing how to read, insisted that George Wallace was the former Governor of Georgia. Nothing I could say or show him changed his mind. I gave up.

The dems know with a certainty that they can say anything they want and far too many folks will believe them. They are the party of the illiterate, hate-filled and gullible. Somehow, their own party and political history is now the doing of Conservatives.

Connor, Davis, and Wallace were all Democrats….

Now do the statues Pelosi removed from Congress…..

Joe Biden has quite a few bad quotables on civil rights issues himself…funny how these weren’t remembered, disfavorably or otherwise, by the ministry of truth.

Cosidering that with Floyd, BLM and equity replacing MLK and equality, the Democrats have effectively kicked King to the curb.

Does that mean they are with George Wallace? Again?

As long as they are rushing to his side they might as well attempt to buttress his downward mental decline. It’s about the most noticeable thing about him and the reason he has trouble speaking in public.

The Democrats Propaganda Ministry has protected him for decades, they are the biggest reason he is there. If they would have dutifully reported on Hunter and Sundowner shaking down the Ukrainians and getting millions from the Chinese that you will never see him make a decision against. They own him hope they choke on him when he falls.

“How do you want to be remembered? Do you want to be on the side of [REPUBLICAN] Dr. King or [DEMOCRAT] George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of [DEMOCRAT] John Lewis or [DEMOCRAT] Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of [REPUBLICAN] Abraham Lincoln or [DEMOCRAT] Jefferson Davis? This is the moment to decide. To defend our elections. To defend our democracy.[*]”

Of course our form of government is that of a republic, but despite the countless times Old Joe has taken the Article VI oath he never meant a word of it. Shame on us for having such a person in office.

Biden attempting to be “Trump” tough is as laughable as the Carlton dance.

The Ukraine will agree with you.

It did work for many, many years: Biden was perceived as sharp and tough. Same with Hillary Clinton. Both scams have finally failed.

Then again, Obama still “is” a “Constitutional law professor!”

When no one wanted her heels in the air anymore, Kamala Harris’ ‘bitch’ act worked well for her in California, but failed miserably when her ‘john’ Willie Brown could not hide who she really isn’t on a national stage.

Biden is trying his own ‘bitch’ act, which is probably at the behest of crazy Grand Admiral Jill Biden.

I do not think that Joe Biden has ever lived with black people or even known any black people outside of his sphere of political privilege. Being black, to Joe Biden, is a dispositional intellectual construct.

The same thing Harris did at the debate. Biden was more explicit.

“every time they get caught running blatant interference for one political party over the other – which happens often – another layer of their supposed credibility burns to the ground, with fewer and fewer people trusting anything they say”

It still doesn’t get what YOU say past their brick wall.
