Penn’s Transgender Swimmer Loses to Yale’s Transgender Swimmer in Women’s 100 Meter Race

Penn’s Transgender Swimmer Loses to Yale’s Transgender Swimmer in Women’s 100 Meter Race

“Yale’s Iszac Henig, a transgender swimmer who is in the process of transitioning from female to male, crushed Thomas”

Lia Thomas, the transgender swimmer at Penn, was recently beaten in women’s 100 meter race by a transgender swimmer from Yale. Is this the future of women’s sports?

What happens when more schools have transgender athletes on women’s teams? In the case reported below, Thomas, who “transitioned” from male to female lost a race to a swimmer “transitioning” from female to male.

Joe Kinsey reports at OutKick:

Penn’s Transgender Swimmer Lost to Yale’s Transgender Swimmer in a Hotly Contested Women’s Ivy League 100 Meter

Penn transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who had been crushing her competition since joining the women’s swim team after three years swimming as a biological male, met her match Saturday in the 100-meter freestyle during a tri-meet with Yale and Dartmouth.

Thomas won the 200-meter and 500-meter races at Penn’s final home meet of the season, but she finished sixth in the 100-meter where Yale’s Iszac Henig, a transgender swimmer who is in the process of transitioning from female to male, crushed Thomas. Henig finished the 100 in 49.57 while Thomas touched the wall in 52.84.

“I wasn’t prepared for that. Everything is messed up. I can’t wrap my head around this. The NCAA needs to do something about this. They need to put science into the decision and discussion,” a Penn swim parent told The Daily Mail.

In the 400-freestyle relay, Thomas was beaten yet again by Henig, who swam his leg in 50.45 to Thomas’ 51.94.

Hat tip to Clay Travis:

Ryan Gados of FOX News has more on the Yale student, Iszac Henig:

Henig has had his breasts removed but wrote in a New York Times column in June he was not taking hormones just yet because he wanted to compete in the pool.

“As a student-athlete, coming out as a trans guy put me in a weird position. I could start hormones to align more with myself, or wait, transition socially and keep competing on a women’s swim team. I decided on the latter,” Henig wrote.

“I value my contributions to the team and recognize that my boyhood doesn’t hinge on whether there’s more or less testosterone running through my veins. At least, that’s what I’ll try to remember when I put on the women’s swimsuit for the competition and am reminded of a self I no longer feel attached to.”

Does everyone remember when this issue was parodied by South Park back in 2019?

The man who thinks he’s a woman was beaten by a woman who thinks she’s a man. I’m sure there’s a lesson in there somewhere. But I have no idea what it is.

What was her record on the women’s team before?

Henig is a good female swimmer. She hasn’t started taking testosterone, so Thomas got beaten at his own game by a true chick, and he’s still a guy. He competed for the men’s team last winter, so there’s no way he has lost any muscle mass or upper body strength in 6 months of female hormone therapy. I can respect Henig’s decision as an athlete. At least she did it the right way and didn’t try to use it as an advantage the way the guy at Penn did. No matter what Thomas claims he is trying to do, deep down you know it burns him that he got beaten, convincingly, by a girl.

It’s just too insane amd I don’t want to hear about trans anymore
Sick sick puppies

So the wannabe man’s former boobs were causing too much drag?

Yes, there is a pun in there somewhere….. 😉

Competitive swimmers and competitive archers both have this issue.
If you recall your Greek mythology, Diana had “top work” performed to address it.

Methods for decreasing the drag coefficient of a swimmer include re-shaping the rear end, covering the underside of the anatomy, and reducing the amount of protrusions located elsewhere.

So…wait a minute, a man suppressing his roids gets 2nd in a women’s race while a women roiding up gets 1st?

Sounds like something not worth watching.

    Second? Thomas placed sixth.

No, she’s not ‘roiding up. Didn’t you see the bit that says she’s not taking hormones yet, because she wants to compete? So physically she’s just a woman with a mastectomy. And she beat this Thomas dude. Thus disproving the claim that women have no chance against him.

Placing sixth? Too convenient. Hse’s just taking the heat off hersemf.

You take one look at that “girl” and tell me she’s never roided before despite being a competitive swimmer her whole life.

Not taking her hormones yet means she beat the piss test and is doing it with a built-in excuse if caught.

Are you serious? This is pure schadenfreude cocktail with a hold my beer chaser.

Women’s sports are being sacrificed to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. This is the reality of pushing the trans movement beyond the individual and insisting that the rest of the world join their cosplay.

If someone undergoes counseling and gets a legit diagnosis and in consultation with physicians and psychologists undergoes hormone therapy and reassignment surgery I could probably respect that. Unfortunately that not where it stops; with individual liberty. Instead they are trying to make everyone else live and participate in fantasy and that is too much.

The man’s :52.84 100 yards (not meters) is clearly, deliberately slow—most likely to accommodate this ridiculous, incredible (as in unbelievable) narrative of cross-transgender “competition.” If the guy can swim 1:41.93 for the 200, 4:34.06 for the 500, and 15:59.71 for the 1650, which were his reported times last month, he can easily go in the mid-40’s for the 100. (Heck, his 500 time alone averaged :54.8 seconds per 100!) If they want to save their sport, the women swimmers (and their men counterparts too), together with their parents, need to turn their backs on this charade.

no, I couldn’t respect that – first, because it’s mental illness; second because it’s still a leftist tool to undermine and dismantle normalcy as a standard.

See the sad history of castrati. This was once in fashion.

Ahhh…and just like that the era of women in sports comes to an end. Women will find new hobbies and activities, closer to their homes, and women’s sports will be relegated, in people’s minds, to nothing

There are still two genders.

Men.
Not Men.

If the world must go down in flames, at least make it entertaining.

Sounds like the first in a series of freak games. ‘My deviant is faster/quicker/stronger than your deviant!’ We all lose.

I’m suspicious anytime a trans person, who has been destroying their competition, suddenly loses in an event after receiving notoriety. It seems very much like they’re trying to prove they’re not as fast as they actually are. In November Thomas did the 100 in 49.42. Henig is actually extremely fast for a female and has gone as fast as 48.03, which is the 10th fastest time in the country. The shorter races is not where Thomas is strongest and dominates in the other races he competes in.

The title of this piece “Penn’s Transgender Swimmer Loses to Yale’s Transgender Swimmer in Women’s 100 Meter Race” brought back memories of my younger years (long ago) when I was an avid reader of MAD Magazine.

Dis he/she/it loses to that he/she/it, all beavers wit kickstands… Dey wants to womenz cause dey cant win on de menzez team. ACROCKACACA ifn u ax me.

I go back further in South Park history to season 9, episode 1: “Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New V*gina”, aired in 2006. Kyle’s dad transitions into a dolphin, and Kyle transitions into a tall black basketball player. Reality slaps them all in the face, eventually.

“I value my contributions to the team and recognize that my boyhood doesn’t hinge on whether there’s more or less testosterone running through my veins.

LOL. You’re not a boy. You can never be a boy. You’re a girl.

According to the lunatics on the left, there’s no meaning to “boy” or “girl”, anyway, so why are they so insistent upon being addressed as something they’re not and can never be? Typical leftist bullshit; they’ll scream until they’re blue in the face about how there is no objective morality but then they’ll lecture you on “universal laws” they thought up and claim they are better, more moral people than you are, because you are “evil” …

Leftists are just cultural locusts, destroying everything in their path. They are determined to make everyone as miserable and empty as they are, and when they start to realize that, no matter how much they destroy and how much they torture normal people that the normal people still aren’t as miserable as the leftist scum are, that really drives them crazy.

Western leftists are the worst errors in the Trial And Error of evolution … and they know it.

The story is not that the guy pretending to be a girl was beaten by a girl claiming to (soon) be a guy … it’s that the guy pretending to be a girl came in 6th, losing to a bunch of girls. But, of course, that is all BS, as was pointed out above by a few commenters. The guy swam the `100 slower than his 100 splits in the 200 and almost slower than his 100 splits in the 500. This was Bobby Riggs throwing the match, once again … after he had beaten the reigning women’s Number 1, Margaret Court, something like 6-0, 6-1.

I’m confused. How is the female-to-male transgender allowed to compete, because surely the same rules that say a male-to-female transgender person qualifies for women’s sport must say that a female-to-male qualifies for male?

One way or the other they’re putting men into women’s races, even by their own rules and twisted logic.
