Minority Students at Duke Unsatisfied With Racial Climate Despite Numerous Diversity Staffers

“Less than 50% of Black students, faculty and staff said that they were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the racial and ethnic diversity of their unit, department and/or program leadership”

This isn’t really about race, it’s about leftist ideology and it will never be enough. It never is.

The College Fix reports:

Duke’s minority students not ‘satisfied’ with racial climate despite numerous diversity employees

Duke University’s racial minorities are unhappy with the climate on campus, according to the latest survey results from the North Carolina college. The university employs numerous diversity employees.

Duke also employs professors who hold titles related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The survey asked various questions pertaining to the participant’s experiences and satisfaction at the university. Each of the respondents’ answers were categorized by their race, gender, or role at the university.

“Less than 50% of Black students, faculty and staff said that they were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the racial and ethnic diversity of their unit, department and/or program leadership,” The Chronicle reported. The campus newspaper did not provide a link to the full report, but it included many, if not all, of the questions and responses.

When given the prompt, “I feel that the climate for underrepresented minorities is at least as good as that for members of majority groups,” Asian and white community members had the highest percentage rates to “agree” or “strongly agree.” Black survey respondents had the lowest percentage rate that agreed or strongly agreed with this statement.

The survey also allowed participants to record their thoughts on the representation of gender on campus and if they have experienced microaggressions, both for gender and race. More males than females were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with Duke’s “commitment to promoting women.”

The survey results showed that more females than males reported microaggressions, and black participants were the highest among the four to report microaggressions in the survey.

They can always go to another college.

Are they unhappy because there’s not enough DEI, or because there’s so much that they can’t relax and be themselves? Do they even know?

Granted, this was a lefty campus newspaper. Let’s see if the admin does the right thing and ignores it, or “takes the opportunity” to get swept up in it and go even farther down the DEI rathole.

They’d prolly feel better on a segregated campus …

Prince: “🎵 Maybe you’re just like my mother…”

You know what makes you feel satisfied? When you use your skills and talents to accomplish something productive. Or maybe that’s just me, but I know many others who agree.

These people are never satisfied because all they ever do is demand that others give them things. When they get those things, they’re still unsatisfied, because their problem wasn’t lack of those things, but feelings of inadequacy and self-hatred. The same reason why people cut up their own plumbing to transition, then commit suicide anyway.

I am sure they would be welcomed at area HBCU’s. There are good ones in NC.

Cry me a river.

If the Black students are being admitted under lower standards than White and Asian students, then they are suffering from mismatch. They are forced to compete against more competitive students, and they will never feel like they really belong at the school.
