Report: Iran and Hezbollah Helping Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad Wage Propaganda War Against Israel

The Iranian regime is helping Gaza-based terrorist groups in their propaganda war against Israel, the latest report compiled by the Israel-based think tank International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) disclosed.

Iran, aided by its Lebanese proxy terror militia Hezbollah, is training Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in the art of modern propaganda warfare using television, social media, and other platforms.

Terrorist groups Hamas and PIJ have “managed to build a body of knowledge and acquire a propaganda tool kit, in large part thanks to mentorship by pro-Iranian media outlets, some of which are controlled by Hezbollah,” The Jerusalem Post reported, citing the report which is not yet in the public domain.

Their anti-Israel campaign is backed by Iran’s Islamic Radio and Television Union (IRTVU), a media network controlled by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The Iranian-funded IRTVU operates television channels and ‘news’ websites for Hamas, PIJ, and other terrorist groups.

The Jerusalem Post published the summary of the counter-terrorism report:

The report, by Dr. Michael Barak of the The International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) of Reichman University, notes that, “One of the major areas terrorist organizations operate to influence their enemy’s public opinion is propaganda, including an increasing focus on social media.”

In recent years, the Gazan terror groups have “managed to build a body of knowledge and acquire a propaganda tool kit, in large part thanks to mentorship by pro-Iranian media outlets, some of which are controlled by Hezbollah (either in Lebanon or Gaza), or via online guidance by the latter.”

This tool kit, besides social media and propaganda techniques, has also turned Hamas and Islamic Jihad into serious propaganda professionals who think carefully about which influence campaigns to invest in, which to ignore, while constantly analyzing and learning lessons about how to maximize their impact and resources.

“The Iranian regime tries to shape public perception and opinion in the Arab world through the use of ‘soft power’ thinking that this would be best to promote its agenda. The Islamic Radios and Televisions Union (IRTVU) serves as a major channel to deploy the above “soft power,” says the report.

IRTVU was formed in Tehran in June 2007 and it “reports to the Iranian Islamic Culture and Guidance Bureau” as well as serving “as the propaganda arm of Quds Force which is an integral part of IRGC,” the report states.

In fact, in October 2020 the US imposed sanctions on IRTVU “for trying to meddle with the US elections, inter alia via dissemination of disinformation to the American public over the internet and social media to influence their voting.” The IRTVU’s membership includes over 210 media outlets in 35 countries on five continents.

IRTVU’s secretary-general is Sheikh Ali Karimian, a Shi’ite cleric of likely Iranian descent and his deputy is Nasser Akhdar who serves as senior member of Hezbollah’s propaganda apparatus, writes Barak.

Shia Islamic Iran’s support for Gaza-based Sunni terrorist groups — Hamas and PIJ — highlights the regime’s backing for global jihad. Both terrorist groups are armed and funded by the Mullah regime.

Iran is helping Gaza-based terrorist groups acquire more deadly and precise rockets as they wage a war of terror against Israel. In a 2021 report, DC-based think tank The Wilson Center reported the deep military and financial ties between Iran and the Gazan terrorist groups: “Iran first established ties with Hamas and PIJ in the 1980s. Iran has since provided funding, weapons and training to the militant groups. Iran has transferred several types of artillery rockets — including Fajr 3 and Fajr 5 rockets as well as M302s originally made in Syria — to Gaza.”

In May 2021, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and allied terrorist groups fired over 4,500 rockets on Israeli towns and cities.

Tehran has also urged other Muslim countries to finance their jihad warfare against Israel. “Muslim states must sincerely support the Palestinian people, through military…or financial support,” Iran’s ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared earlier this year.

These are the terrorists that Biden is appeasing on a daily basis

BIDEN IS BUSY

Forget mid-east terrorists they’re are no real threat

Biden is focused on the REAL threat to the world – US Domestic Terrorists (meaning white supremacists).

TRUE – there may only be about 73 actual white supremacists in the USA now. But Biden will rally the might of the entire US intelligence and military to find them. You see, each one is a threat to our democracy and to the world. If, in the process, they happen to capture and/or destroy the lives of the 90+ million who for Trump OR in someway oppose Biden’s new Progressive Agenda – that’s just an unfortunate coincidence.

“Report: Iran and Hezbollah Helping Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad Wage Propaganda War Against Israel”

Why do the Democrats’ efforts go unrecognized??

What do all these different groups have in common?
They all hate Jews. Down through the years the Jews have experienced more hatred, more racism than any other group. Yet the emphasis today is Black Lives Matter, when in fact they have it better than any time in their history and better in the US than any other place in the world at the present time.

Don’t forget Islamophobia, too. Remember, the Dems can’t condemn anti-Semitism unless there is a simultaneous condemnation of the non-existent hatred.
