U Texas Plan to Train Teaching CRT to Four-Year Olds Placed on Hold

“The university is reviewing a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights”

We mentioned this in a recent Quick Take. Apparently, the school is having second thoughts.

From the UT website:

Key Points

Posted on Nov. 18, 2021.

– The university is reviewing a complaint filed with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights regarding a project designed by three faculty researchers.
– Research projects conducted by over 6,000 university researchers cover a wide range of topics with a diversity of perspectives and approaches. The breadth of projects reflect the university’s commitment to freedom of thought, speech, and expression, along with long-standing principles of academic freedom.
– Because we also expect all research projects to comply with the law and university polices, the university is conducting a legal compliance review of the complaint before this study is launched.

UT’s statement is the height of misdirection and disingenuity.

UT would have you believe that GoKAR! is just some of its professors doing some incidental academic research. Wrongo. UT officially selected GoKAR! as one of only five research projects to be awarded taxpayer-funded 2020 APX money ($100,000).

In other words, out of thousands of potential research projects (including tons of *real* scientific or scholarly research projects), UT deliberately decided to select, sponsor, approve, and fund pseudoscience on how best to indoctrinate 4 year olds in CRT.

UT alumni should decline all further contributions or support. The animals are running the zoo at UT.

Coach Royal always said we should have a university the football team could be proud of. Too much foolishness.
