Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Throw Fuel on the Fire With ‘Woke’ Statements on Rittenhouse Trial Verdict

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Throw Fuel on the Fire With ‘Woke’ Statements on Rittenhouse Trial Verdict

“While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken. I ran on a promise to bring Americans together, because I believe that what unites us is far greater than what divides us,” Biden said in a statement.

For conservatives, independent types, and open-minded liberals, the jury’s “not guilty” verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial Friday was proof that the American justice system still works in high-profile cases, that juries can weigh evidence in a trial independent of what they may feel the violent reactions will be in their cities if they decide the “wrong” way.

For diehard liberals, though, including those who purport to support criminal justice reform in part based on the belief that defendants oftentimes don’t get a fair shake, the meltdowns were palpable, with many demonstrating they still don’t have the clue first as to the actual facts of the case by continuing to (wrongly) suggest that Rittenhouse is a white supremacist even though the people he shot in self-defense were white.

All of this brings me to the official responses from the White House. President Joe Biden was asked not long after he’d gotten his colonoscopy on Friday about the verdict. A reporter wondered if he still stood by his comments from last year where he equated Rittenhouse to a white supremacist and murderer. Instead of answering the specific question, Biden said, “Well, look. I stand by what the jury has concluded. The jury system works and we have to abide by it.”

Watch:

It was a pretty milquetoast response that should have stood on its own. But when a formal statement was issued later from Biden, a more “woke” approach was taken because apparently, he needed to let those disappointed with the verdict know he stood in solidarity with them (bolded emphasis added by me):

“While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken. I ran on a promise to bring Americans together, because I believe that what unites us is far greater than what divides us. I know that we’re not going to heal our country’s wounds overnight, but I remain steadfast in my commitment to do everything in my power to ensure that every American is treated equally, with fairness and dignity, under the law.

He then urged protesters to demonstrate “peacefully.”

Vice President Kamala Harris’s statement was also brief, and predictably “woke.”

“My impressions about the verdict – the verdict really speaks for itself,” Harris said to reporters prior to boarding a plane. “As many of you know, I’ve spent a majority of my career working to make the criminal justice system more equitable, and clearly, there’s a lot more work to do.” She then walked away without taking a moment to explain what it was exactly she meant by her answer.

Watch:

First things first. Why would Joe Biden be “angry and concerned” with the verdict? I mean he literally said in the video that he had not even watched the trial. How can you be “angry and concerned” over something of which you have no knowledge? Unfortunately, this is part of a pattern with this White House of popping off at the mouth to score cool points with the radical progressives in the Democratic party without having all the facts and in the process making an already volatile situation much worse by pouring fuel on the fire.

Had he actually watched the trial, however, he’d likely have found himself in agreement with those who found the “not guilty” verdict just.

Also, was this verdict supposed to bring about racial healing? A man was on trial for murder because he killed two people and injured another in self-defense. This trial was not a social experiment, nor should any trial be for that matter. Biden confused the heck out of a lot of people on that one.

As far as Harris suggesting the verdict, in this case, was proof “more work” needed to be done to “make the criminal justice system more equitable,” what the hell does that even mean? Again, the three people Rittenhouse shot were white. This wasn’t a case where a white cop shot three black men, nor was this a case where a white counter-protester shot three black rioters.

Not only that, but as former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard pointed out in that now-legendary debate moment with Harris in July 2019, her record on criminal justice reform towards communities of color during her time as a prosecutor in California, well – let’s just say it left a lot to be desired.

For those who missed that debate moment – or for those who would like to watch it again, click below:

In other words, those so-called “inequities” that Harris says exist in the criminal justice system are there in part because of people in positions of power like her.

But most tellingly, what was missing from either of Joe Biden’s statements about the verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was the apology for him repeatedly suggesting Rittenhouse was a white supremacist and murderer as the case was being built against him. He did it here:

And here:

It was highly irresponsible of Biden to say what he said then and it’s highly irresponsible for him and Harris to say what they said yesterday. Perhaps the better thing for both of them to have done was to view the available evidence first before commenting on the case, which is something I should point out that former President Donald Trump actually did:

Gee, there’s something else Trump got right and Biden/Harris got wrong. That list is getting very, very long.

Biden urged people to “express their views peacefully…” Didn’t Pelosi and her co-conspirators impeach Trump for doing the same thing? Where are the articles of impeachment?

The responsible statement would have been: “The prosecution apparently failed to prove Mr. Rittenhouse’s guilt of the charges beyond a reasonable doubt and the jury acquitted him. That’s the way our justice system works.”

He’s a mere corrupted, treasonous puppet who belongs on a gallows. She’s a rudderless whore who will sell herself – and our country – to anyone.

Is anyone surprised at these ‘woke statements’?

Too bad President Trump doesn’t come out amd support the Jan6 protesters who came because he called them to DC.
They are rotting in jail, many have no money for legal representation
Trump amd nearly all the Republicans have been silent
Pretty disgusting
I loved Trump, voted for him twice, donated , worked in his campaign
I will vote for DeSantis.. hopefully

Two of the worst people to ever cast a shadow on the doors of the White House.

Biden and Harris – Shits and Giggles.

Because of course they do.

Remember, these people think Bruce Jenner is a woman.

Heels-Up Harris is a known subversive. No doubt her posturing telegraphs the intentions of her leftist position. Know your country, know your government, and know the difference.

No. I do not believe “the jury’s “not guilty” verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial Friday was proof that the American justice system still works in high-profile cases”. This was a case with overwhelming evidence of innocence and malicious prosecution with a particularly open minded jury, extremely young and sympathetic defendant. If this case were instead tried in dozens or even 100s of other cities Kyle Rittenhouse would have been toast and I am certain that many of us here in the LI reader community as the defendant with the same exact evidence in the same Kenosha Court Room, our fates would be dismal.

Kyle Rittenhouse’s Not Guilty Verdict was justice but a justice that none of us should expect in future proceedings. Any light people are seeing at the end of the tunnel because of the Rittenhouse Verdict should be dismissed as an oncoming train.

“This was a case with overwhelming evidence of innocence and malicious prosecution with a particularly open minded jury, extremely young and sympathetic defendant.”

That and a judge with some balls.

That and a judge with some balls.

Who was all bark and no bite and let the prosecution get away with any stunts they liked to pull. It was just a matter of luck the evidence so was overwhelming in favor of Rittenhouse that the jury came in with the decision they did.

The overwhelming evidence is why he didn’t need to step in and create controversy. The verdict is far more solid as a result.

Experienced judge applying the law? If only that could happen more often.

Why did the judge allow the jury to listen to testimony all through the trial thinking Kyle Rittenhouse illegally open carried a firearm?

Why did the judge allow the charge involving Drop Kick Man without Drop Kick Man being presented to Kyle and the Jury. The Prosecutors knew his name, the judge knew his name and Kyle and his defense team knew his name.

This was malicious prosecution and I do not believe the judge acted with any firmness much less courage with the out of control prosecution. Sure, the judge was firm with the prosecution when the prosecution was hovering the line of contempt towards the bench but I did not see the Judge stand in the way of the misconduct levied against Kyle Rittenhouse by the prosecution.

At what point did the judge find out the prosecutors knew the identity of Jump-Kick Man but failed to provide that information to the defense? I don’t know but I’d imagine that was after the defense had rested.

Paul In Sweden in reply to Dennis. | November 21, 2021 at 5:21 pm

Dennis, as the Prosecutors refused to offer immunity from prosecution to Drop-Kick-Man aka 39-year-old Maurice Freeland of Wisconsin prior to trial commencement the judge would have received the identity of Drop-Kick-Man as well as the immunity discussions just like the defense team well before the start of the trial. How could the judge been excluded?

Communists nationwide are wrasslin’ with the US Constitution, under which they can not exist.

Where are these “open minded liberals” of which you speak?

They seem to be in short supply these days

Radio Japan last night (English service)

A jury in the US state of Wisconsin has acquitted a teenager of all charges in the fatal shooting of two men during protests last year. Kyle Rittenhouse opened fire in the city of Kenosha during protests over the police shooting of a black man. Rittenhouse faced charges including homicide. He acknowledged he shot two men dead but said he acted in self-defense against the demonstrators. He was seventeen years old at the time of the shooting. On Friday the jurors found Rittenhouse not guilty after four days of deliberations. The verdict is final as prosecutors cannot appeal. Rittenhouse has reportedly been linked to white supremacists. The jury was also overwhelmingly white. The national guard has been dispatched to the area in the wake of the ruling as authorities step up vigilence against possible protests. President Joe Biden has issued a statement calling for calm. He said the verdict will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, but people must acknowledge that the jury has spoken. Biden urged people to express their views peacefully consistent with the rule of law.

“Rittenhouse has reportedly been linked to white supremacists.”

Technically true, but a shade misleading.

      TX-rifraph in reply to Dennis. | November 21, 2021 at 7:51 am

“white supremacists” – 1) A gratuitous assertion (or “Making S%&t Up) is not a link so it is not technically true — it is technically false. 2) A blatant lie is not “a shade misleading.” It is a lie.

Well, it has been reported that Rittenhouse is linked to white supremacists. The reports aren’t based on any like evidence or anything, but they are reports none the less.

Different groups stand out because of different areas of innate talent. For lucky groups, their talents are in high demand. Unlucky groups may have talent of low value, and in some cases little or no talent.

Mmmm hmmmm, tell us “two blasts from a double barrel”.

The remarks are intended to keep the serfs divided so the people do not unite against the totalitarians. They will always look for a fire to fan. The details do not matter. Watch for it and you will see it everywhere. Keep us divided and fighting each other. This is simply corruption and evil on display.

Their approval ratings are already very low and in free fall.

This won’t help. So why do it?

Because they are desperate to hold on to their neo-communist radical left base.

And because they are stupid.

They think they have immunity. the issues that arise is this case part of their duties and if so how? If no will the immunity cover them.

How is justice served when the nebulous and forever undefined word “equity” is applied to it? How does Rittenhouse face a federal trial when 2 people at the head of government have opined on a verdict in this manner, and the DoJ and any potential judge not be affected by that?

“…First things first. Why would Joe Biden be “angry and concerned” with the verdict? I mean he literally said in the video that he had not even watched the trial. How can you be “angry and concerned” over something of which you have no knowledge?…”

The left could care less about the facts. In fact, as a candidate Biden incoherently expressed that sentiment.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/biden-we-choose-truth-over-facts/

They love their hatreds. The “truth” is whatever they tell themselves that can make themselves feel self-righteous and morally superior as they nurture their hatred. The “truth” is whatever justifies them acting as the scum of the earth that they are; being the lowest form of life imaginable. They couldn’t indulge in their basest, vilest instincts unless they can imagine an alternative “truth” that makes being complete POSs a noble endeavor. It’s intoxicating for them to know that the targets of their hate deserve everything the left is going to dish out to them.

That’s the “truth.” Facts can’t be allowed to get in the way.
