Indiana Educator Who Exposed CRT in Curriculum Placed on Leave

Earlier this month, we hightlighted a video from a teacher in Indiana named Tony Kinnett who explained how Critical Race Theory may not be named on your child’s curriculum but that doesn’t matter.
Kinnett showed how CRT language and practices are embedded in teaching materials and lesson plans.

Kinnett has now been placed on leave.

Indiana teacher who exposed CRT teaching put on leave, has email locked, banned from school buildings
An Indianapolis school administrator who went viral for explaining how his district is pushing Critical Race Theory on children has been locked out of his email and Google Drive accounts and been told to work from home because he was causing other staff members “anxiety.”
“As of one hour ago, Indianapolis Public Schools has suspended my access to email & Google Drive,” Indianapolis district science coordinator, instructional coach, and administrator Tony Kinnett posted on Twitter along with a screenshot.
“I’ve been required to work from home the last two weeks, as staff reportedly have ‘clinical anxiety’ over working with me,” Kinnett added. “When I came to get books from my office, phone calls were made to each team member so they’d be clear of the building.”
Kinnett added that he has been banned from going to any school building or from hosting professional development while also pledging to continue to release more information that he has already downloaded from the district.
This sure looks like punishment.

I guess they don’t want to have that difficult conversation on race, do they?
The one where we ask why the vast majority of lawbreakers are black, the one where we ask about absentee fathers, the one where we urge them to assimilate to western culture and put the “tribal” nonsense behind them?
Better yet, throw their ineptitude into their faces and ask why is it so covert and in need of lying?
I forget which famous black person it was in history, but one of them said something to the effect of the best way to help the negroe, is to do nothing at all. I firmly believe that today, with them bellowing for equality, we should give them equality. No affirmative action. No set asides. No quotas. They just have to make do and mend like the rest of us have had to do. The Asians have made it. Specifically, the Chinese, the Vietnamese, the few cambodians we’ve had come here, the laotians… virtually all of them had succeeded in one way or another period the same thing goes for the Asians from places like India and Pakistan. They seem to be doing just fine, thank you very much. There is no reason at all to put the black person up on some sort of a pedestal. They can sink or swim.

Frederick Douglass escaped the South using sailor’s papers. Our merchant seamen we’re about a fourth freed Blacks. Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson did a great deal of work for segregation. The Great White Fleet wasn’t just a paint job.
It’s the soft bigotry of low expectation.
To me that is one of the best phrases that’s ever been placed in the American lexicon.

Is it bigotry if they consistently live down to it?
I refer to it more from the context of the low expectations against the reality of quite a few black people that can succeed on their own. How many truly successful ones are pictured as nothing but quota hires? I know what the averages are, I’m just concerned for the people that have made something of themselves.
Me, too. But the worthwhile examples are not the ones we are constantly hearing from, and not the ones working hard to undermine our culture and society, at the same time that it is the only thing supporting their own lives.

Why?
I assume it’s a reference to the leftist narrative that Dan Quayle abused a “program designed to “reach out” to the poor, racial minorities and other students who might not be admitted through regular procedures” to qualify for law school. However, the narrative (like most leftist narratives) is flawed… because although he did applied under that program for his “second chance,” the actual determining factor that qualified him was not a set-aside or decreased expectation, but the realization that his GPA was awarded by a much tougher college than others’.

No, they have all the answers for those questions.
For the first one they have two possible answers:
1) it’s not true that the majority of lawbreakers are black; whites commit crimes in equal proportions, but the racist police don’t arrest them and racist court don’t convict them, so they don’t show up in the stats. If victim surveys show the same thing, well, racist “victims” don’t report crimes by white people, and/or falsely report crimes by black ones.
2) If despite everything it appears that blacks do disproportionately break the law, it’s because white lawmakers criminalize the things that blacks do. (It helps that this is sometimes actually true, as in the original reasons for banning marijuana. But they extend this to all laws at all times.)
Absentee fathers? The idea that kids need fathers in order to grow up decent is sexist and must be rejected out of hand.
How dare you suggest that they should assimilate into western culture. Assimilation is a bad word. It is axiomatic that all cultures are exactly equal in value, and it’s racist to even suggest otherwise. (Except that “indigenous” cultures are more equal than others.)
So no, they’re not afraid of having this conversation. They’re convinced they would win it. In their minds, they would.
Part of the problem is that there are severe biology-based discrepancies elsewhere in the system – for instance, it is incontrovertible that women are charged less frequently, convicted less frequently, and sentenced less severely than men for the same criminal acts. It’s a bit difficult to claim justice is blind when it clearly is not. That makes demonstrating the fact that yes, black men really do commit violent crimes all out of proportion with their population an exercise in statistics rather than simple observation, and most people have no facility with or interest in math of any kind.
(There’s a similar dynamic at play with the wage gap debate: arguing that if women were really paid less for the same work than men no one would hire a man is easily refuted by pointing to the vast, vast numbers of companies that hire the executives’ mistresses, college or golfing buddies, relatives, etc. rather than actually qualified people. Companies demonstrably hire and pay people for reasons that have nothing to do with their performance all the time).
HOW CAN WE EVER TRUST THEM ?
They are determined to teach CRT concepts to kids. THey are brainwashed and they see it as their duty to indoctrinate our kids.
Can they EVER be de-programmed from their brainwashed beliefs ? I don’t believe it is possible to de-program over 1 million people across the country (administrators and educators).
Sadly, it is too late. We can complain as much as we want. But from a practical standpoint – they will not change.
The only solution is to rebuild education and remove teachers unions.

I read things like that, and I want to line up all of those faculty and staff members in a row. Go down that line and slap the living daylights out of every one of them. At once Sir on the ground taken nightstick and slammed them across the shoulder blades a few times to drive my point home. Has our society really become that weak and Lily livered? Howard Zinn was CRT before CRT was a Thing. High school teachers have embraced his version of American history with the enthusiasm of a hungry baby for the teat. Zinn pushes the “American wealth was built on the backs of slaves.” nonsense for decades. This is systemic. Teachers who disagree are slighted. Slighted and probably not allowed to teach AP History. So when the wee lads and lasses get to college, they have already had a taste of America hating.

Not amazing. They’re playing it exactly the way an innocent school board would do when falsely accused by a dangerous bigot. From the outside, the only apparent difference between him and a false accuser is that he has evidence; their hope is that by acting exactly as innocent people would, people will assume they are innocent, and not examine his evidence, or assume it must be faked or spun by those awful right-wing extremists and Trumpist white supremacists. The fact that he’s being promoted by notorious white supremacist web sites like LI just proves that his so-called evidence is not worth looking at, so all well-minded people shouldn’t look. This is how they hope to get by. It’s worked for them so many times, and it may work this time too.

For decades schools have had a teacher shortage. The problem is not too few teachers coming out of college. The problem is poor retention rates among newly hired. Too many of them were finding the bureaucracy and ideological twist too much. The NEA has for ages supported liberal abortion rights and same sex marriage, and all things gay. The teacher unions have been leaders in supporting Democrat Party people and positions. That culture turns away conservative minded. Recall the IRS didn’t need encouragement to be weaponized against the TEA party. In the same way, too many teachers are liberals. They believe the Howard Zinn fantasy of American history. They require little coaxing to teach CRT, or something like it. Better than banning CRT would be requiring teaching good things about Americans and America.
Better still….move school board elections to the fall to get greater voter turnout. Eliminate or minimize teacher unions. Decriminalize school truancy. Students are age restricted, state by state, in taking the GED. Remove those age restrictions.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
