Democrat Strategists Have Plan To Turn Critical Race Theory Controversy To Their Advantage In 2022

More of the same: “It’s not just that Republicans want a bigger role for parents in education, it’s that Republicans are willing to let white supremacists write curricula.”

Democrats at the state and national level, weighed down by a struggling Biden administration and an economy in seeming free-fall, have felt the brunt of voter antipathy over the past several months. This has led many to believe the Republicans could achieve historic gains in the 2022 mid-term elections, typically unfriendly to the party with the incumbent in the White House. Some high-level democratic strategists, however, believe they’ve hit on the issue that will save their electoral prospects next year: Critical Race Theory, or CRT.

According to a report in Business Insider:

They’ve called it a “racist dog whistle” and a “lie.”

But those messages haven’t helped Democrats tamp down the uproar Republicans are fueling over “critical race theory,” now a misused catch-all term for teaching on race and diversity in K-12 schools that’s firing up protests at school board meetings around the country.

In Virginia, Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin exploited the term and pledged to “ban” it in classrooms on his first day as governor, even though critical race theory — an academic approach to examining racial bias — is most often taught in law schools. Republicans plan to lean into the issue in the 2022 election cycle.

Democratic strategists say the party should hit back harder against “divisive” GOP claims while not losing sight of the priority for voters; the economy.

“On a political level it’s a real threat that is allowing Republicans to claw back the inroads that Democrats have made in the suburbs over the last couple of election cycles,” said Jim Manley, a longtime aide to former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

Democrats haven’t yet pushed back on this issue enough, but the “good news” is the party’s response is effective and there’s time to make the case before the 2022 elections, said Jesse Ferguson, a Democratic strategist. They just need to make the case “relentlessly,” he said.

The opposition to CRT remains fierce, with thirteen states having banned it in public schools to varying degrees, and half a dozen other states poised to pass similar bans in 2022.

It remains unclear how strategists could refer to the democratic response to angry parents rebelling at school board meetings and the polls as “effective.” Their case, it seems, consists on doubling down on the same divisive language they’ve used for the past few years as parents expose radical lesson plans in public schools.

Evidently, they just haven’t pushed back hard enough yet.

Ferguson, the previously quoted democratic strategist, went on to say:

“Voters run from the Republicans when Democrats peel back the onion on what these claims really mean,” he said. “It’s not just that Republicans want a bigger role for parents in education, it’s that Republicans are willing to let white supremacists write curricula.”

Maybe. Or maybe parents see the obsession with defining American society as “white supremacist” and to hold one race responsible for defending its power over another for what it is—an inaccurate understanding of the very origins of our constitutional republic, and a thin veneer for debunked marxist oppression theory.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is in the unenviable position of having to put a positive spin on the disaster 2021 has been for democratic politicians nationwide as parents take back control of government schools via their local school boards. According to the article:

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the House campaign arm for Democrats, downplayed the threat to the party in congressional races. This fall, they tested responses to false claims about critical race theory in K-12 schools. The messages they say resonate most with battleground voters: Democrats want to teach the truth about US history and honor those who fought to make the country better, Republicans are trying to divide Americans and Democrats want to deliver for American families.

Once again, the DCCC follows the gameplan of the radical supporters of CRT, by putting forth the false premise that opponents want to censor the “real history” of race in America. Those who oppose CRT have consistently said nothing in their message means America’s schools shouldn’t teach the accurate history of race relations—including slavery, Jim Crow laws, desegregation, and other difficult periods in American history. One would think, at some point, they’d want to put forth a positive, aspirational message of America’s present and future, to attract undecided voters instead of guilting them into staying home or hating their country.

Of course, calling their operation racist and white supremacist is nothing new for democrats—it’s been their modus operandi for decades. The tactic took on obsessive levels in recent years, leading to a massive backlash by parents. Amusingly, democratic leadership’s message has gone from denying CRT exists to denying it’s being taught to giving it a full-throated defense and believing that incorporating it into public schools is an electoral winner for them. This takes lacking self-awareness to an art form—especially considering the electoral results in Virginia and elsewhere just a few weeks ago.

Then again, as LI’s Fuzzy Slippers put it prior to election day, “If Glenn Youngkin Wins. It Should Give The Biden Left Pause, But It Won’t,” saying, Ultimately, radical anti-American Democrats don’t care one whit what we, the people, think or want.”

Democrat strategists, huh? Let me guess, does their strategy look like “Critical Race Theory is not being taught in our schools and anybody who claims that is a racist. Besides, the students think it is a great program and they support us 100%.”

DEMOCRATS: Doubling Down on Stupid Since the 1860s.

Curiously, the whites seem to be supporting East Asian supremacism, going with objective testing for all children. It’s as if they weren’t racist but instead just interested in functioning systems.

Yep. Depending on how you want to slice your Intersectionality cake, there are several Dim Grievance Groups that out perform whites in the education system.

May the best man (or woman) win.

Leverage, children left behind, affirmative discrimination, and Roe, Roe, Roe your baby, violently down the river Styx.

“It’s not just that Democrats want a bigger role for government in education and in all aspects of their subjects lives, it’s that Democrats are willing to let communists and abortionists write curricula.”

A black neighbor I had back in Virginia complained about a local schoolteacher telling her students that people born black were systemically lazy and criminally-inclined. I never realized that he was a black supremacist, but being a good Democrat, I realize that now.

I’d like to know just one white supremacist involved in writing a curriculum. I don’t think they can find a single one.

Well, “Russian collusion” was 100% fake, yet the Communists ran on that for years to the wild cheers of the Joseph Goebbels media and the glum silence of GOP leaders in Congress. So this latest gambit by the Communists may go on for a while.

Horace Mann probably qualifies, but he died in 1859.
He was also a prominent sexist, believing that all school teachers should be women because they were uniquely suited to teach (but we all know it was because he could pay them 77¢ for every dollar he would have to pay a man).
Without Mann, Americans would still be taught by church and private schools, instead of by the government.
    What a racist.

What planet are these people on? Do they really think that tale they are telling themselves is accurate?

Sorry Dims, your Race Card is overdrawn and declined.

No surprise to me they’re doubling down.

Did anyone actually think the neo-communist Dems would ever back down and admit they got something wrong? That the ignorant deplorable uneducated peasants and racist goobers in flyover country might be right about something?

Self-righteous arrogance is one of the defining characteristics of Marxists.

When I was younger, I knew a toddler with a learning disability.
While spending time at his home, playing with his siblings, we heard him getting increasingly agitated in the kitchen, screaming “Apple!” over and over. We went to see why.
This was back in the days when refrigerators commonly had unrefrigerated tippy compartments at the bottom, in which you would typically store raw garden vegetables.
He had gotten into the compartment, which was at his level, and taken out an onion. Every bite he took offended every sense he had and set off a bout of crying. After each insult to his palate, he would fix it in his glare, scream “Apple!” at it, and bite it again. By the time we took it away from him, he had swallowed half of it, and would have finished it entirely if we hadn’t intervened.

Right at this moment, the Democrats are having their “Apple!” experience. But I’m not inclined to intervene.

They remind one of a crooked preacher, scamming their innocent congregation. And when the crooked preacher gets accused by someone outside the congregation, they double-down on their gaslighting of the congregation. Exhbit 1: Jen Psaki. Exhibit 2: Barack Obama. Exhibit 3: Hillary Clinton. Exhibit 4: Biden. Etc.

It’s an old story. But no sucker wants to be told they’re a sucker. So the crooked always seem to maintain the loyalty of the dumbest in their group. Just look at Hollywood.

The only thing ‘wrong’ with the charge that they are teaching CRT in schools is that they’ve actually gone well beyond ‘teaching’ it. Teaching it started decades ago.

Now they are implementing CRT in schools. It is the foundation now of everything they ‘teach’ and how they ‘teach’. It is their political indoctrination praxis. It is their guidebook. Their playbook. CRT is their version of Mao’s Little Red Book, so to speak.

And they have been hiding what they are doing from parents.

Clueless yet oddly welcome. Let ’em run on that, and see what happens.

we’re not buying what they’re selling anymore

Critical Racists’ Theory presumes diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment), including: racism, sexism, genderism (too?), ageism, and other class-based bigotry.

They have political myths, false framing, and handmade tales. They need to lose their Pro-Choice relativistic (“ethical”), opportunistic (“=”) religion in order to mitigate progress: one step forward, two steps backward.

Russ from Winterset | November 21, 2021 at 4:46 pm

Do they have a plan? Yes. Is it a good plan? We’ll see.

Who knows? Their plan might be to tell America “Remember that CRT you hated? Republicans did that.”

Of course, calling their operation racist and white supremacist is nothing new for democrats—it’s been their modus operandi for decades.

Well, why not? Voting fraud aside, guilt-tripping white suburbanites into supporting Communism has worked often enough. The toxic urge to virtue signal – no matter how much death and destruction it causes – is quite powerful.

And even when suburban voters suppress their inner Karen long enough to elect Republicans instead of Communists, the GOP politicians they voted for let them down. Let’s not forget how easy it is for the Communists to peel off at least 5-10 Republican Representatives/Senators on nearly every major vote in Congress. Why risk being demonized and dehumanized as a “racist” and losing your reputation (and perhaps even your job) for the sake of a supposed opposition party that stabs you in the back?

If the Democrats defend teaching the elements of the woke agenda especially the elements of CRT they will continue to lose elections

They want to teach only the history of slavery.

Do it! Between CRT and Beto taking our guns they’ll have a clean sweep.

Yes, please go with this winning strategy. I’m sure Beto and his ilk will just clean up.
