Table in Michigan State University Cafeteria Offers Free Masks and Gloves to Minorities Only

“$10 PER ITEM for White People!”

This was shut down pretty quickly and the student behind it claimed it was an experiment.

‘Reverse the Privilege’ Table at MSU Gives Free Masks to Minorities, Charges $10 for Whites

At Michigan State University, a tabling event offering free masks and gloves for ‘Minorities Only’ gets shut down and significant pushback.

Placed near Brody cafeteria, the table advertised “Free Masks and gloves for MINORITIES ONLY!!” It’s “$10 PER ITEM for White People!” the large sign stated.

The tabling began at 1:00PM on October 26.

Designed as a ‘social experiment’ by MSU student MeAnna, it offered free masks and gloves to non-whites, to “demonstrate how minorities and disabled persons have been negatively impacted by the pandemic versus other groups. I wanted to reverse the privilege,” the student tweeted.

Shut down in less than 24 hours, it’s “honestly hilarious due to the fact that MSU has had multiple racist incidents that never get addressed,” MeAnna rebuked. “But a black woman, trying to give privilege to those who lack, and all of a sudden it[‘]s a problem?”

How were sales?

“It’s because minorities are too incompetent to get their own, and need our charity.”

If discrimination is wrong, and I believe it is. Why is not all discrimination bad?

I would walk up, and take all I want. I have African blood. From morocco. I have Asian ancestry. From Georgia and Ukraine. I am also Hispanic, based on my ancestry from Spain. For those of you who aren’t aware of it, my avatar is me. Don’t I look like a minority?

“How has the pandemic affected minorities and disabled persons and how can we remedy these effects?”

An “experiment” that declares there is a problem that requires remedy before gathering any data?

Followed by a demonstration of a remedy to address a problem that has yet to be shown to exist?

That’s a fine piece of scholarship there, isn’t it?

If she thinks we’ve got so much privilege, we need to show her what real privilege looks like. For us that is. What were her SAT scores again?

“This idea of intellectual debate and rigor as the pinnacle of intellectualism comes from a world in which white men dominated,” she replied.”

Don’t you understand that the Wakandans built their Hyena Clan Teleporters using only group khat spirit rituals and rhinoceros urine? If Africa had had bears, they could have ruled the world.

The actual experiment, I suppose, was to see how much push back they received, to what extent, by whom, and how long school administration would look the other way.
