Natl. Assoc. of County and City Health Officials Asks Biden DOJ for Protection Just Like NSBA

Natl. Assoc. of County and City Health Officials Asks Biden DOJ for Protection Just Like NSBA

“These threats have come from community members, organized (and armed) anti government militias, and politicians.”

In recent weeks, the National School Boards Association asked the Biden Justice Department to protect them from protesting parents by declaring them domestic terrorists.

Now the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is asking for the same thing.

Here’s part of the letter they sent to Merrick Garland:

The Honorable Merrick Garland
Office of the Attorney General
Washington, DC 20530

Dear Attorney General Garland:

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), on behalf local health departments across the country, would like to thank you for your attention to the increased threats and harassment being levied at individuals working to protect their communities during the pandemic. Local health department officials and staff know the risks all too well, with documented harassment, threats, and violence impacting governmental health department staff across the country since the pandemic began. Therefore, we strongly request that you include the protection of public health department officials and staff in your directive to federal authorities to meet with local, state, Tribal, and territorial law enforcement to address the increased risk in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school-related personnel…

While the pandemic has brought greater appreciation by many to the importance of public health and the people who work in the field, too many health department leaders and their staff have experienced threats to their jobs, their safety, and their family members. These threats have come from community members, organized (and armed) anti government militias, and politicians. As one of our members, Dr. Jennifer McKenney stated in her testimony before Congress on September 29, 2021: “Even though the virus is the enemy, their anger and frustration are often directed toward public health officials like me.” These threats have taken a toll: at least 300 public health department leaders have left their posts since the pandemic began, impacting 20% of Americans. In many cases, they have been verbally abused and physically threatened. Their personal information has been shared, their families targeted, and their offices attacked. They have been politically scapegoated by some elected officials and either fired or forced to leave their positions for standing up for the health of their communities. Of note, many of these threats have included misogynistic and racist undertones, further violating these officials.

Read it all here.

This group knows what they’re doing. They referenced the request from the school boards association:

This is a tactic frequently used by campus leftists to silence opposition. If you want to shut someone down, you simply claim their presence is making you feel unsafe.

The college-campusification of America is nearly complete.

This is another example of suppressing dissent-how many of the members of this association support lockdowns and have ignored the mental health issues involved including increased adolescent suicide and have encouraged their citizens to stay home even after being vaccinated?

This is AMERICA – not the campus of Oberlin College.

The Woke are in for a rude awakening if they think they will silence Americans.

Parents – make sure your kids don’t grow up to be woke morons. Teach them to appreciate other points of view – and to debate. In other words, prepare them for the real world.

Will anyone be surprised if we later find out that both NSBA and the Nacho people coordinated with Garland before sending these “requests” ?

If you govern by the people will you don’t need to the STASI protect you.

Who’ll be next to jump on the bandwagon? Is it big enough for every leftist in the country to express their own special fear and demand that Big Brother protect them?

How much extra budget will Garland demand to deal with these requests? And how many more worker bees (who, of course, are all good little leftists themselves) to staff the response?

The FIB will gladly oblige. Nothing pleases them more than the opportunity to fabricate crimes against their political enemies.

Protection from What?

their delusional paranoia?

Recall that nearly half of Senate Republicans voted to confirm Garland as AG – including Mitch McConnell. And with very few exceptions the GOP has been silent on Garland’s fascistic activities.

I attended a a council meeting in a small town a few years ago. One of the agenda items was a request from city code department to install bullet resistant barriers/glass to separate the public from the employees. There had been zero attacks on any employees, but there were some irate members of the public responding to the new code enforcement officials; they hired a supervisor from CA. This individual was a very condescending ‘I make the rules’ guy.

I simply pointed out that this wasn’t a beneficial expenditure. First, the public could simply wait to confront this person when he left the office. Second the focus of the code department, according to the charter, was to inform, educate and assist with voluntarily compliance with enforcement/compulsion being the last resort.

Finally I pointed out that his bullying behavior was the source of the problem, all this began upon his arrival, and that deliberately PO the public and receiving negative feedback wasn’t a good reason to spend tax dollars to protect a bully who viewed the public as an adversary. The council declined to spend the funds and he was fired prior to the end of his one year probationary period.

The public officials must come back to understanding that they are our servants and not our masters. Better by far if they can do so by reason, logic and persuasion, instead of more direct methods, IMO. Hopefully they do so.

^^^THIS^^^ is why government should be as close to the governed as possible. And also as small as possible.

We’ve allowed the Federal government to grow out of control.

Article V, Convention of States may be the only solution left to us at this point.

Y’all just need to live in better neigborhoods 🙂

Around Y2K, a local Democratic Karen (we have three or four) agitated to get firearms banned in our Town Hall. The idea was loudly and publicly repudiated by town officials and employees alike, as well as the citizens. One clerk from the utilities payment window testified that many people came in with firearms, and none of them had ever hassled the town workers in the slightest. The only threatening incident that stood out in her mind was when one fellow came in all irate and threw a live rattlesnake over the counter at the staff.

Bonus- they can accelerate our decline into a Soviet run nation with tin pot dictators making up the laws as they go along.

I don’t think their concerns are unfounded. They’ve destroyed lives and communities and they are running full speed towards exactly what Stalin wanted in his day.

I’d be angrier about it, but I’m watching leftists in my state suffer under their own mass hysteria, so in a sick way, I’m enjoying the show.

I remember when we wondered – “Why does the DHH have a SWAT Team?” – “Why does the Dept of Education need a team of Enforcers with Automatic Weapons?”

Now, we know.

Another bullying, pushy outfit running to daddy when the little kid actually fights back.

This is beyond anything I envisioned, how dumb was I

To answer that, I would have to inspect your ammo cabinet.

Empty, I have been relying on my 2 pit bulls but I now see it’s going to take something more something that is protected by my second Admendment.

I got to tell you, those 2 Pitt bulls are amazing and literally would die for me, but I don’t want them to have to do that.

WOKE-ISM is a public health crisis.

Historical Memo for Garland, et. al.: When you start treating otherwise law-abiding citizens as criminals….they start thinking like criminals.

Theyknow January 6 wasn’t really an insurrection, and are hoping to provoke a real one so as to declare a permanent political emergency.

The phrase “Be careful what you wish for” comes to mind.

      GOOD NEWS

Everyone who calls Jan-6 an :”insurrection” has identified themselves as a brainless ideologue.

      Easier to spot them now.

Why are there all these “associations” into which my tax money is flowing, instead of to do the work those folks are supposed to be doing?

I think everyone should do the gumshoe work necessary to zero out those lines in their local budgets. All “associations” eventually turn into funding for the Dem party at some point.

Any “national association” of government types is nothing but the government lobbying itself against the interests of the taxpayers and voters. They should be illegal for using the people’s money to promote things the people don’t support.

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.”

Hillary Clinton, April 28, 2003

Ow! My ears hurt just writing this quote.

Interesting. I’ve been looking at obituaries in the local paper, from September of 2019 and September 2021. Overall, deaths are up over 30%. By age group, in the 20s went from 0 deaths to 10 deaths. In the 30s from 7 to 15. In the 40s from 12 to 29, in the 50s from 18 to 38, and in the 60s from 35 to 45. Notice most of those groups more than doubled. My hypothesis is the adverse reaction to the mRNA vaccines*. However, some national group of county public health types want the school board protection. So I’ll write anonymously to a local radio voice who is old enough not to be afraid of the fall out. Why are the numbers in these age ranges going up?

Truly not scientific: not all deaths are in the obituaries of one paper online. The region isn’t a city, or county. As Nancy Pelosi says “The plural of anecdote isn’t data.” Too true. But science does make observations and then tries to find correlations and then seeks causation. Were these Covid deaths? I hope not, as we have therapeutics, and these are ranges were pretty safe from the Chinese Virus. My fear is even asking the question is to invite reprisal. I don’t want the Federales kicking in my door with a no knock raid at 5 AM because the county health director feels bad about the questions.

*I’ll take the vaccine when you stick it in my cold dead arm. Wait until the body is room temperature, please.

NSBA just apologized for sending the letter to Biden / DOJ
> Trying to control the damage they’ve done – but too late
> They look dumb and desperate – not they realize they opened a Pandora’s box.

I wonder when NACHO will send their apology letter ?
> NACHO looks even dumber – stepping in the same shit that NSBA just did.

GO WOKE and watch your reputation go up in SMOKE.
