Video Game Developer Tripwire Ousts CEO Because He Supports Texas Pro-Life Law

Hey, fellow pro-lifers! This is the time to get loud and show the country that we are the majority.

It’s time for pro-lifers to be loud and proud. It is the only way for companies, Hollywood, and Big Tech to realize the majority of this country is pro-life.

Food Network disowned comedian Josh Denny because he tweeted support for the Texas heartbeat law. It bans abortion after the baby forms a vital heartbeat.

The network said Denny’s values do not align with the company. Thanks for letting us know you’re in favor of infanticide, Food Network!

Another company revealed it supports infanticide.

Video game developer company Tripwire ousted CEO John Gibson because he also agrees with the law.

Unlike Denny, Gibson’s tweet did not contain anything people should consider controversial.

Man, Gibson supports life! He supports basic biology! He follows the science!

Tripwire disagrees.

“The comments given by John Gibson are of his own opinion, and do not reflect those of Tripwire Interactive as a company,” the company said in a statement. “His comments disregarded the values of our whole team, our partners and much of our broader community. Our leadership team at Tripwire are deeply sorry and are unified in our commitment to take swift action and to foster a more positive environment.”

Read this again: “His comments disregarded the values of our whole team, our partners and much of our broader community.”

Like the Food Network, I’m glad Tripwire revealed everyone else involved is okay with murdering unborn human beings.

I cannot even: “Our leadership team at Tripwire are deeply sorry and are unified in our commitment to take swift action and to foster a more positive environment.”

Remember what I wrote in my Josh Denny post? Imagine being mad that babies will live.

So Tripwire’s idea of a “positive environment” is an infanticide echo chamber. Supporting life is considered a negative to Tripwire’s environment.

Guys, it is time to BE LOUD. I don’t care about boycotts, but murdering babies is an exception. I no longer watch Food Network, use the website, or will buy anything associated with the network.

I love video games. I’ll have to keep an eye out and make sure I don’t purchase anything attached to Tripwire.

Well, he’s nuts because the law is structurally incompatible with rule of law. Pro life is a respectable (if unreflective) position.

Colonel Travis in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 4:13 pm

WTF does structurally incompatible with rule of law mean? The Texas law was signed by legislators voted in by the public, signed by a governor voted in by the public and will most likely go through the court system, which is exactly how all of this is supposed to happen.

Deputizing the public as the enforcer by offering a bounty, in order to avoid court review via having nobody to enjoin in advance from enforcement. Anything else constitutional or unconstitutional could be legislated in the same way because courts can’t review it.

Colonel Travis in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 4:54 pm

This was passed via rule of law and will be judged via rule of law. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it was shoved down our throats illegally by executive order or magic.

CommoChief in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 5:50 pm

Ok now do environmental lawsuits by private parties who are not directly impacted. Then do ‘sue and settle’ consent decrees.

Once you completely eliminate those then come back to abortion and we can take this line of thinking seriously.

There are precedents: slavery, diversity, political congruence, and elective abortion under other labels, Interesting, the antithesis cancelling cancel culture.

Ironclaw in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 11:11 pm

So what you’re pissed about is that you couldn’t get a communist activist in black robes issue an injunction before the law could go into effect because it was impossible to have standing? I can live with that.

geronl in reply to rhhardin. | September 8, 2021 at 12:33 am

It’s not a bounty, it is not deputizing anyone. Ever seen the government offer rewards for the information leading to the arrest of a criminal? That’s a bounty. All the law does is make abortion providers etc liable to civil lawsuits if they knowingly abort a baby with a heartbeat.

geronl in reply to geronl. | September 8, 2021 at 12:34 am

The money doesn’t come from taxpayers, the court awards it if the civil lawsuit is successful, the judge might just give them $1

tbonesays in reply to rhhardin. | September 11, 2021 at 7:59 pm

You may want to read the back ground of Muccolluch (sp) v Maryland. Offering a bounty is an old practice that in no way precludes judicial review.

Demos-cracy and democracy are aborted (e.g. murder) in darkness under the Twilight Amendment (“penumbras and emanations”).

Pro-Life, and, with progress, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, is politically incongruent (!”=”) to the precepts of the established Pro-Choice religion in the many blue, not… red jurisdictions. The wicked solution is purportedly a solution to hard problem: keep women appointed, available, and taxable… and other purposes (e.g. medical progress, carbon sequestration/population control).

That said, there is no mystery in sex and conception, a woman and man have four choices: abstention, prevention, adoption, and compassion, and still six weeks… baby steps. The edge cases of involuntary exploitation (rape or is it rape-rape), and evolutionary dysfunction (incest, “big bang” constructs), can and should be handled separately.

I was interested in their Killing Floor franchise, but after this chicanery, I trimmed my wishlist of their games on Steam.

Not. One. Dime.

Brendan Eich was the first sacrifice to the wokeness of big tech. Not much to say about this trend; these aren’t rational people.

Mozilla. Also, Papa John, who stood up for diversity of individuals, minority of one. The lady who survived — an exceedingly small minority of survivors — planned parent/hood, cancel culture, specifically elective abortion. Didn’t Roe also have post-progress regrets about enabling the wicked solution?

Someone makes big money off abortions which begs the question……what is in that fetus that you are willing to do something so dastardly, so morally wrong?

Abortion doctors love fetuses, “A few weeks after the death of 79-year-old Illinois abortion doctor, Ulrich George Klopfer, his family uncovered something unbelievably disturbing. In his garage, Klopfer had 2,246 medically preserved fetal remains.”

“Unfortunately, Klopfer isn’t the first abortion doctor to stockpile “trophies” of his work. Kermit Gosnell, Philadelphia’s infamous baby killer, also kept parts of fetuses in milk jugs and glass jars. When authorities searched Gosnell’s office, they found bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses, including a twenty-eight-week-old baby boy frozen in a gallon water bottle, and thirty specimen jars containing fetal feet. “

rhhardin in reply to scooterjay. | September 7, 2021 at 4:38 pm

The position you have to overturn is that the fetus is not a human. It’s human (not wolf) but not a human. Parents desiring a baby see it as a human but that’s a future they’re relating to; unwilling parents see it as only cells, which is the future they’re relating to.

As far as ordinary language goes, the latter get the support.

gonzotx in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 4:59 pm

But we already know it’s not “just cells” you monster

rhhardin is clearly explaining the perspective of people… persons, groups, parties, religious sects (e.g. Progressive Church), past, present, and progressive that partly or fully indulge the wicked solution for social progress, medical progress, and other purposes.

Oh, fetus is a technical term of art used to socially distance technicians and abortionists from their subjects and victims.

        Dr.Dave in reply to gonzotx. | September 8, 2021 at 8:29 am

Only in your circle is language redefined to align with your fantasies.

A serial killer sees his prospective victim as a plaything, which is the future he’s relating to. Should the law hold that as equivalent to the would-be victim’s opinion?

      daniel_ream in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 5:34 pm

People badly need to learn that “I understand the motivation and strategy of my enemies” is not the same thing as “I agree with the motivation and strategy of my enemies”.

henrybowman in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 5:59 pm

Hey, it makes sense. After all, Democrats did that to black people prior to the
“unpleasantness.” That doesn’t fly any more, but black people’s babies are still fair game. Until we say they aren’t.

A human life evolves from conception until Her Choice, her Choice, and sometimes his Choice. There are diverse precedents for people… persons who want to abort the baby, cannibalize her profitable parts, sequester her carbon pollutants, and have her, too. And the feminists and masculinists who want to keep woman appointed, available, and taxable. Then there are the people with kinks, fetishes, and other queer perspectives. A wicked solution, a final solution, a “burden” relief, a profit motive under the established and normalized under the nominally “secular” Pro-Choice religion.

That said, there is no mystery in sex and conception, where a woman and man have four choices: abstention, prevention, adoption, and compassion, and still six weeks… baby steps.

      TX-rifraph in reply to rhhardin. | September 7, 2021 at 8:11 pm

rhhardin – What you are saying is that one’s perspective is what makes the “cells” human or not. What if I see you (my perspective) as not human and I am unwilling to tolerate your CO2 polluting the planet?

Your motivated reasoning makes sense from the perspective of eugenics where some humans are not human by definition. The “human” test you advocate is based on power rather than logic or moral reasoning.

Arminius in reply to rhhardin. | September 8, 2021 at 12:13 am

This is the kind of pretzel logic infanticide enthusiasts have to engage in. Fetus is merely the Latin word for offspring. Another synonym for offspring is child. We are literally talking about the offspring or child of a human male and female (the only way to produce a human child). Of course it’s human. It is a genetically unique individual from the moment the sperm inseminates the egg. It isn’t a part of the mother. Again, the fetus is neither the mother nor the father but a genetically unique individual. What these scientifically illiterate infanticide enthusiasts don’t have a clue about, among so many things, is that the placenta exists to separate the child from the mother, not to connect them. The child can have an entirely different blood type. If the fetus were part of the woman’s body, the incompatible blood type would kill them both.

Fetal stem cells were harvested precisely because a child in the womb is fully human. I was always opposed to fetal stem cell research because the enthusiasm for it was purely political. Fetal stem cells don’t have any properties that make them any better than other human stem cells. In fact, the most promising stem cell therapies involve using the patient’s own stem cells, specifically the mesenchymal stem cells from the patient’s bone marrow.

As demonstrated by the Center for Medical Excellence (falsely accused and demonstrably so by Planned Parenthood et al with the smear that they “misleadingly edited” their videos, so they posted the entire uncut videos to show Planned Parenthood abortion clinic operators for the ghouls they are) there is a brisk market in fetal body parts. Why? Because that ain’t alligator meat destined for market shelves. Those are human parts used for research similar to that of adult cadavers.

The infanticide enthusiasts simply wanted to prove that pro-lifers “didn’t believe in science” and that abortion was great thing and we knuckle dragging iron age primitives needed to get over our primitive superstitions. But as in all things it’s the left that are the scientific illiterates. As they just proved that over the weekend when they claimed that those knuckle dragging unvaccinated luddites in rural Oklahoma were overdosing on “Horse dewormer” in such droves that hospital ERs had to turn away gunshot victims. In fact, Ivermectin is the active ingredient in medicines approved for both veterinary AND human medical use (just not in the U.S. for Covid). Leftists are also mathematically illiterate. Note we are talking about rural Oklahoma. There are very few people in rural Oklahoma wounded by gunshots. It’s not freaking Chicago, which has a gunshot/murder rate the leftist press won’t talk about. The AP similarly got caught out; they claimed that 70% of the calls to the Mississippi Poison Control Center were from people ODing on Ivermectin. They had to issue an embarrassing retraction. It turns out only 2% of the call to the Mississippi Poison Control Center were from people who had ingested Ivermectin. Kind of a big difference, 2% vs 70% doncha think. What confused the geniuses at Rolling Stone, MSNBC, and other leftists at other MFM outlets (I’ve always wondered which grad school had to scrape the bottom of the barrel more for the stupidest students, the Journo School, the ethnic/grievance studies department, or the Ed School) was that of the 2% of the calls from people who had ingested Ivermectin, 70% of that 2% had ingested the veterinary type of the drug. Which isn’t very smart, admittedly. But, again, no; the Mississippi Poison Control hotline wasn’t being overwhelmed by calls from Ivermectin imbibers any more than rural Oklahoma hospital ERs were being overwhelmed by people ODing on the drug. Underwhelmed is more accurate, as a simple phone call would have demonstrated if the MFM were at all interested in facts, But it was too good to check apparently, for those sophisticated urban leftists in American newsrooms who just KNOW that the hicks, particularly the unvaccinated gun-toting hicks in fly-over country must be killing themselves due to their innate inbred sister-marrying stupidity. In fact, it’s exactly the other way around.

Same way with the abortion “debate.” The infanticide enthusiasts claim they want a debate on the “science” of abortion. But they run from any such debate because the facts are all on the pro-life side.

As of 2018 38 of the 50 states have fully constitutional fetal homicide laws. Those states recognize the fetus as fully human. Some, such as Kali, may have repealed those laws since then because they recognize that acknowledging the fetus as a child (which again is precisely what the Latin word means) confuses the issue and gives ammunition to the pro-life side. That doesn’t change the facts and evidence. But airbrushing history wasn’t only practiced by the Bolsheviks in the USSR. It’s alive and well among the Bolsheviks in the U.S. Up until the birth control pill was developed there was universal agreement among the scientific and medical communities that life begins at conception, and conception meant the sperm fertilizes the ovum. And of course it’s human life; nobody had thought of the “lump of cells” dodge yet. But when the pill came out the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists realized that the pill doesn’t always prevent fertilization but can also function to prevent implantation. So ACOG changed their literature in 1965 and changed their definition of conception; that conception actually meant implantation of the fertilized ovum, rather than fertilization itself. Why? Because if they didn’t change their definition, when gynecologists prescribed the pill (the most likely to do so) they could credibly be accused of performing chemical abortions. Abortions were still illegal all states, felonies in 49. Problem solved. The “science” hadn’t changed. But the politics had.

The abortion itself is big money. It’s typically paid in cash and done in an outpatient clinic.

A doctor can make a full OB/GYN salary working 8-5 two days a week. That’s why a small number of them do it.

Thankfully only a small number, something like 10%.

I’m an avid gamer that spends thousands of dollars a year on games. I’ve literally never bought anything from Tripwire, and never even HEARD of them until this mess happened.

Looking them up, Tripwire is one of those joke companies that hasn’t made a single game of note in their existence. They’ve mostly made cheap FPS clones frantically trying to go viral and be the next Call of Duty and come up short every time because they have poor production value. Their latest game was a dumpster fire with poor reviews and poor sales.

Seriously one of the biggest indications of how little this company matters is their Wikipedia page. Nearly HALF of the text in their ‘history’ is about the current issue. Everything else is just vague ‘and then they released X game, and then they released Y game’. Half of their games don’t even have actual pages for them!

This is NOT a healthy company.

They’re likely not going to survive much longer anyway, this feels to me like a pathetic last-ditch effort for publicity from gullible moron liberals. And just like every other time they pander to these morons, it fails catastrophically because SJWs and liberals DON’T BUY GAMES.

henrybowman in reply to Olinser. | September 7, 2021 at 6:01 pm

Who was it that argued that “companies don’t go broke because they went woke, they go woke because they’re going broke.”

Olinser in reply to henrybowman. | September 7, 2021 at 7:07 pm

Not necessarily always true. But definitely true in SOME cases. If you’re already going broke, then go for woke and try to salvage it.

But there are plenty of idiots in the gaming industry in particular that have convinced stupid CEOs and investors that ‘woke’ is actually profitable. And they do this by effectively lying to executives that simply do not understand the gaming community.

They were able to get away with the lies for a few years because increasingly an awful lot of the executives and high-ups in a video game company ARE NOT actual video gamers. They’re MBAs, business guys that have never touched a video game in their lives. They DO NOT consume the product they manufacture.

Just like their bullshit about ‘OMG TEH WAHMENZ ONLY MAKE 73% WHAT MEN MAKE’ was an outright lie that was easily disproven. And their crap about ‘OMG 50% OF GAMERS ARE WOMEN’ was laughably easy as well. They ran a stupid survey that claimed that just as many women as men play ‘games’, by including crap like Candy Crush and calling them ‘gamers’ (and incidentally the numbers for actual console and PC games in every conceivable genre EXCEPT mobile games was 70-90% male with RPGs making up 70% male and FPS/RTS over 90% male.). And of course as soon as you survey people that spend $150 a year on games (which is only 2-3 new games in a year), and its over 80% men.

So for a lot of video game companies, they took the (effectively LYING) survey that claimed that over 50% of gamers are women, and that their player base which was 90%+ evil toxic male was keeping teh stronk wahmens away, and if they just pandered enough their sales would go through the roof from all the phantom women that would fall over themselves to buy a first person shooter if they just included a STRONK WAHMEN main character.

The activists convinced stupid gullible liberal executives that they could significantly increase their sales by pandering to the woke crowd and openly insulting their players as ‘toxic’, and at literally every single turn it exploded in their faces and they lost massive amounts of money

Just like with everything else, they tried to push a laughable and easily verifiable lie, gullible liberals ate it up, and a whole bunch of companies lost a LOT of money in woke pandering. Most major video game companies are through with the woke bullshit with only a couple idiot holdouts still taking massive losses.

Indie games are through the roof – it’s never been easier to be an indie game developer as long as you have a product people want to buy.

First among the vaunted “values of (Tripwire’s) whole team” is the suppression of free speech. (And commenters should recognize that those who disagree with the Texas law might support abortion in limited circumstances, yet not be available at the woman’s discretion in every instance of pregnancy.) The company’s decision is execrable.

This is so maddening. It’s okay for Dhimmi-crats to wax as narcissistic, obnoxious and vindictive as possible, in expressing their political views, without fear of retribution, but, conservatives can’t even express a simple, innocuous personal opinion, civilly, without losing their jobs. Our society is becoming something truly frightening and dismaying, under the Dhimmi-crats’ oppressive and increasingly brazen totalitarianism and intolerance.

Son of a bitch. I actually enjoyed Man Eater.

Oh well! Not another dime. All of the non-gamers and non-customers that pushed for this can support them now.

It’s a real purge

One of these days a repub is going to go all in with his commercials and attack the lefts position using video of baby parts, pictures of the devel0pment of the baby and other hard evidence to push the left back on their heels.
As it stands most of the pussy bois and gurls when asked say it’s settled law by the SC. Which we know is bs from spineless cowards.
