San Francisco Mayor Parties Maskless With BLM Co-Founder

Our betters don’t care about us.

Rules for thee, but not for me.

You must wear a mask inside in San Francisco even if you have the COVID vaccine.

Authoritative San Francisco Mayor London Breed said in August the city must bring back the indoor mask mandate. Only very few people can go without a mask indoors. Our lives depend on it, y’all!

Weird. On Thursday, Breed partied her heart out at Black Cat nightclub with BLM co-founder Alicia Garza. Neither one wore masks.

It looks like no one wore a mask.

San Francisco Chronicle reporter Mariecar Mendoza happened to be at the concert, too. Did she hold Breed accountable?

Of course not. Mendoza’s article had a forgiving tone. I guess it’s because two of the three original members of Tony! Toni! Toné! treated them to an impromptu performance.

Mendoza wrote:

“The fact that we have not been able to enjoy live music in this way since the beginning of this pandemic made it even that much more special and extraordinary,” Breed told The Chronicle after the performance. “I was really honored and really in disbelief when I sat here and watched what I felt was history in the making.”

Most patrons inside the subterranean venue, which serves food and drinks, did not wear a mask as mandated by the city of San Francisco. According to the citywide mandate Breed announced in August, the health department requires that everyone wear a well-fitted mask in indoor public buildings even if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except while actively eating or drinking.

Don’t worry. Breed undergoes regular COVID testing, you guys:

Breed emphasized, however, that she tests for COVID-19 often and said “at the end of the day, everyone who comes in here has to show proof of vaccination. That gives me a lot of reassurance.”

“I’ve been very careful, not just because I want to set an example but because I don’t want to get COVID. I also want to make sure that I’m not someone transmitting COVID to other people,” she said. “This entire pandemic has been focused on keeping people safe.”

Then Mendoza dived into Raphael Saadiq and D’Wayne Wiggins’s successful music careers with the group and after the group disbanded.

The comments on the article tear apart Breed for ignoring the mask mandate of her city.

The stupid rules, mandates, and lockdowns continue to destroy small businesses.

NBC Bay Area spoke to one rightfully enraged business owner:

“She’s been very clear that everybody needs to do their part, we’re not out of the woods. San Francisco’s rules have been very restrictive, and I don’t see her playing her part in that photo,” said Danielle Rabkin, Crossfit Golden Gate Gym Owner.

Among those exceptions are actively eating or drinking in a club, bar or restaurant — so the photo – touched a nerve for Rabkin.

“She clearly feels like it’s fine and safe to remove her mask then let that be the rule for everybody,” said the gym owner. “You’re not impervious to COVID any more than I am, so let the rules for you be the same as the rules for me.”

Rabkin said her customers have had to deal with the mandate for more than a month now. Her biggest frustration is a lack of information about when the mandate will be lifted, especially since San Francisco has a very high vaccination rate.

I fully support all these people not wearing masks. I find it the height of HI-larity that the stupid citizens of her filthy town want to keep wearing them in light of 18 months of evidence all over the planet that they don’t do squat to stop community spread and that this, example #681 thousand gazillion of our “leaders” not following their own rules, doesn’t make them question what’s going on.

No limit to the dumb in America now.

People wear them to show allegiance to their leaders. It does not matter what their leaders do, only what they say, and that the followers indicate allegiance and compliance. It’s like wearing the red arm band, or the NAZI or Soviet pin on your lapel.

I get the allegiance part if it were, say, April 2020. But it’s September 2021. Californians have seen the governor breaking the rules, Pelosi breaking the rules, this mayor breaking the rules. I don’t live there but I can’t imagine those are the only examples, plus there are many examples of leaders around the world breaking their own rules.

This goes beyond allegiance. I don’t believe anyone looks to elected officials and think – you’re the reason I wear a mask. They wear a mask because they are irrationally but morally committed to wearing a mask. This is a deep conviction, which is why you see people in the comments of that SF Chronicle story angry at the mayor because SHE’S BEING DANGEROUS!!11!!!1

“So and so is dangerous to me/us” is simply the contemporary boilerplate preface to any standard demand of “punish so and so.” No more, no less.

Many hypochondriacs may wear masks until they die.

That’s probably at least 10-20% of the population, depending on the degree of hypochondria. Maybe more. Maybe much more. The US government now enables and encourages hypochondria. As do many in the health care business. It’s literally good for business. And good for those who want to increase the size and scope of government.

I expect to see many people still wearing masks everywhere ten years from now.

It scares me that you are correct,

“…the stupid citizens of her filthy town…”

The town is so filthy I would not go there in level 4 biological protective suit.

Neither the science nor the physics support their general use. Medical staff wear them to mitigate heavy droplet spread (e.g. surgical expulsions), and only following strict protocol that is limited in time, space, and with conscientious behavior.

Meanwhile, a state in India, with over 200 million people, has less than 200 active cases using nutritional supplements (e.g. vitamin c and d, zinc), and treat people with Ivermectin (40 year global safety data) at a cost of dollars per day.

To Governor DeSantis, Ivey, Lee And Others

    This is not “our shot.”

Got rhythm but not brains.

Leftist hypocrisy? How very unsurprising.

Nothing demonstrates the degree of danger from Covid or how dire a health crisis Covid presents than the political leadership who issue and support mandatory masks, mandated vax, restrictions and lock downs violating the spirit and letter of their decree.

If Covid was truly ‘Captain Tripps’ as these folks insist it to be they would be the first ones into the bunker, sealing the doors behind them lest any commoners venture in.

Yes. The last thing they would think about is protecting the deplorables.

Breed, Garza, Mendoza — all on the same team. All know this mask wearing is is a vector to assess how well the serfs are submitting. Hypocrisy and lies are the MO not news.

America’s ruling aristocracy is not worried about or afraid of Covid.

But they think everyone else should be.

This is not planned parent/hood. Some, Select [Black] Lives Matter

Masks are for the peasants. And servants.

America’s ruling aristocracy only wears masks when speaking in public to the peasants. Or milling about amongst the little people and the unwashed masses.

When with their own kind masks are not required.

Meanwhile in the land of inmates and nuts………

Gov. Newsom abolishes most single-family zoning in California

I’m telling you Cali’s again, get out and take your red voting habits to another state that you can help turn or keep red.
The ghettos will be your prison soon.

The sad thing is that California is so far into Bizarro World that there are a hell of a lot of people in California who THINK they’re red, but when they show up in actual red states, it turns out they’re dangerously blue.

Not to whale on California too much, consider that in Massachusetts, Mitt Romney took continuous heat for being a radical, right-wing Republican. A lot of the Bay State’s “red” voters thought Romney was too infra-red. Move these voters to Texas or Florida, and you may as well be importing Antifa.

This is so common now that I don’t believe it’s a case of “one rule for me and another for thee.” They know something (they think) we don’t know–that COVID is not the threat to everyone that they’re selling to the public. Because if they believed their own hype, they would behave accordingly. (This would be true even for those who believe they are above their own rules. Self-preservation would prevail over status.) But they’re comfortable violating their own rules because they know the threat is actually minimal. When they direct anger against those of us who are bucking their rules, they’re angry because we resisted their brain washing efforts and it reminds them that they’re don’t have the control they thought they would gain.

SF is so filthy that people should wear a mask outside instead.

When I see the ruling class and their glitterati sycophants going without the masks they order the little people to wear, I wonder what they know that they would like us not to know? I wonder if it they know Covid-1984 is a 98% hoax.

The elected people that people vote for?? OR NOT?? The government you WON for yourself….S.M.F.H.
