WaPo’s Glenn Kessler Embarrasses Himself While Writing Hit Piece on Critical Race Theory Opponent Chris Rufo

“The Washington Post ‘fact checker’ has canceled his hitpiece against me after @DrKarlynB brutally corrected his series of faulty assumptions, pre-conceived narrative, and obvious political bias. Democracy dies when the media lies,” Rufo tweeted about Glenn Kessler.

When it comes to the dangers presented by the teaching of Critical Race Theory, Christopher Rufo knows his stuff, which makes him a frequent target for the likes of MSNBC’s Joy Reid and the Washington Post.

In fact, as of last month, the Post “published 10 articles attacking my work and playing language games with critical race theory,” according to Rufo, who backed his claim up with screengrabs:

As it turns out, the paper was attempting another hit piece on Rufo just last week. It withered away when a key person in their story exposed the emails “fact-checker” Glenn Kessler sent them.

This key person pointed out exactly what Kessler was trying to do to Rufo.

Kessler’s piece revolved around the theory that Rufo stole the work of Dr. Karlyn Borysenko. You might remember Borysenko as the liberal who was mugged by reality in February 2020 during a Trump rally that took place in New Hampshire.

Borysenko reported in June 2020 that the City of Seattle was holding a training session on “Interrupting Internalized Racial Superiority and Whiteness.” She tweeted screengrabs of the email she received from a tipster and also created a YouTube video where she detailed the training documents.

A few weeks later, Rufo requested public records to find out more about the training presentation and filed his own report.

We wrote about it at the time here. See the tweets, screengrabs, and video they posted as this story was developing by clicking this link.

Fast forward just a little over a year later, and Kessler set out to prove that not only had Rufo appropriated Borysenko’s work, but that there was never any tipster involved at all. Further, another angle to Kessler’s piece was going to suggest that Rufo turned the research into something that was “anti-White,” which Kessler suggested in an email to Borysenko that he didn’t think was her intent.

“[Rufo] was piggybacking off of your research and has been falsely claiming that he had an anonymous tipster helping him,” Kessler alleged in the email. “And now it seems he’s hijacked the whole thing into some kind of anti-White attack, which I don’t think was your original intention.”

“…please don’t tweet or mention this until after I publish,” he concluded.

Unfortunately for Kessler, Borysenko was not interested in playing his game. She put him on full blast on the Twitter machine, pointing out that there was indeed a tipster, and that she didn’t view what Rufo did as “hijacking” her work:

When Kessler responded by telling her he was “disappointed” she made the email public, Borysenko made that email public, too:

She even did a video about how she exposed the fact that the Washington Post was in the process of drafting another hit piece on Rufo:

Not long after she posted the emails, Rufo followed up by informing his readers that the hit piece had been canceled:

Clearly, Rufo and Borysenko respect each other’s work:

As for Kessler, he hasn’t commented publicly about the matter, but I’d say the emails he sent in which he confirmed his role as an activist journalist who crafts narratives and then goes about trying to prove them instead of simply asking questions to see where a story falls speak for themselves.

Absolutely wonderful!

Learn to code, Glenn Kessler!

Maybe learning how to code might also teach him how to think logically.

    If he learned how to think logically he’d be a conservative. duh.

      @userp

      What has logic got to do with it. He was corrected on his assumptions so didn’t proceed with the story. I’ve rarely seen anything logical come from the right , take Ben Shapiro for example he is supposedly the rights king of logic yet one of his books on arguments sets out how to operate as a sophist not how to deliver quality arguments. Hell one of his rules was to basically smear the opponent. So conservatives are sophists as far as I can tell not logical at all. If you were logical you might have some policies after all

    I don’t think these people are capable of coding, they are too irrational, and they think we should tolerate them simply because of their feelings. We reed to start telling people who are dumb that they will have to clean toilets, wipe butts, shovel out animal stalls, and other menial low level jobs. I would suggest collecting garbage, but many of them are not smart enough to drive the truck and operate automatic loaders.

Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime

Globalists r us

Glorious. This explains so much of why the MSM use ‘anonymous sources’ when they’re just making stuff up to slime somebody they hate. Because when they use real people, there’s always the possibility they’ll refuse to go along with the Narrative and spill the beans.

I remember when many journalists were actual ethical, and prided themselves about being better than PR flacks. Who would have imagined that so called journalists would sink below PR hacks, in that they are hypocrites and frauds today.

How is this news? If Glenn Kessler didn’t embarrass himself, it would be news.

Watched Ben Shapiro debate CRT on Bill Maher’s shoe. The CRT champion tried to redefine it as ‘just teaching history.’ Look for this talking point to take hold strongly. People opposing CRT will be accused of not teaching the KKK is bad or whitewashing Slavery.

Of course it’s BS. But, effective for Low Information Viewers.

    I’m guessing Maher didn’t fall for it though. He’s been pretty against this crap.

    Bill Meyer was the best of the three of them. His position was the most reasonable

      @healthguysfu

      Meyers position was basically that the academic argument over definitions is meaningless the stats show there are disparities between races which shouldn’t be the case, it’s something that needs resolution

Kessler to Borysenko: “I regret that you posted our private exchange publicly, thus exposing me as a greasy, duplicitous, shameless, prostitute-propagandist shill for the Dhimmi-crat Party.
