‘Honeymoon Officially Over’: Biden’s Job and Economy Approval Ratings Drops in Two Polls

“I think it all comes down to COVID. If the COVID situation had continued to improve the way it was improving in the first quarter, all of these numbers would look very different.”

President Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped in the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll and the CNBC All-America Economic Survey.

The respondents also lost optimism in the economy and worry more about COVID-19 than before.

Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll

The Hill reported that Biden’s approval sits at 52% in the latest Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll.

He lost ten points from June when 62% of the respondents approved of his job.

Congress, Republican, and Democrat approval ratings also took a hit.

The latest approval ratings come in as the country sees an uptick in COVID-19 cases:

That resurgence has put the coronavirus pandemic back at the top of the list of voters’ concerns, according to the poll. Thirty-six percent say that COVID-19 is the most important issue facing the country, a 6-point increase from June when jobs and the economy topped the list of concerns.

The percentage of respondents who say that the country is on the right track fell to 46 percent last month after peaking at 53 percent in June, according to Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll. The percentage who believe the country is on the wrong track simultaneously rose to 47 percent after dropping to 39 percent in June.

Then there is the economy:

Optimism about the U.S. economy fared even worse in the poll, with the number of respondents who say it’s on the right track falling to 43 percent from 49 percent in June. Forty-nine percent now say the economy is on the wrong track, up from 42 percent in June.

To be sure, most voters surveyed — 53 percent — believe that the U.S. economy remains strong, compared to 47 percent who say it is weak.

The Biden “honeymoon…is officially over,” said Mark Penn, the co-director of Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll.

CNBC

Biden kept his 48% approval rating in the CNBC All-American Economic Survey.

However, his approval numbers regarding the economy and COVID-19 took big hits:

The biggest change came in views on his handling of the coronavirus, where approval dropped 9 points to 53%; Biden’s economic approval fell to 42%, a decline of 4 points, or just beyond the poll’s 3.5-point margin of error.

“I think it all comes down to COVID,” said Jay Campbell, a partner at Hart Research Associates and Democratic pollster for the survey. “If the COVID situation had continued to improve the way it was improving in the first quarter, all of these numbers would look very different. And ultimately, someone has to be responsible for that. And right now it’s Joe Biden.”

The majority of the respondents picked COVID-19 as their top concern:

  • 73% concerned about new lockdowns
  • 63% concerned in surge of deaths and hospitalizations
  • 55% concerned about mask mandates
  • 50% concerned delay returning to offices

“I think it all comes down to COVID.”

Clearly the price of gasoline, immigration folly, enemies-of-America nominees like Garland and Chipman, the contempt of every other world leader, and a crack-smoking son running a pay-to-play scam have nothing to do with Biden’s popularity numbers.

The Dems came in and scooped up all those races with unprecedented elections devoid of proper inegrity measures and now they are running out of people to blame. Gotta love the karmic backlash.

His ratings could be zero. We ain’t making it to the 2022 election.

The Biden “honeymoon…is officially over,” said Mark Penn, the co-director of Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll.

Actually, we won’t know that until the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 8, 2022. That is when thousands of mysterious ballots start turning up, and keep turning up in the days and weeks to come in precincts from deep-blue hellholes like Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

Just in passing, is there a polling organization in this country that cannot be assumed to be biasing the results towards the Left? Prove it.

The Mackinac Center comes immediately to mind.

No…no there isnt. They dont hesitate to manufacture votes and break every law…some fake polls are childs play. Things are horrible and getting worse and people are feeling it in their everyday lives and 70 percent say the country is going in wrong direction …a significant percent of even Dems think cheating went on in the election and that he has dementia and the majority of Republicans believe those things… and yet he is said to have a 52% approval rating…NO POSSIBLE WAY. I don’t think they ever once gave Trump a rating that high and the feeling and mood of the country was great except for the screetching harpies who dominate everything. And yet we are supposed to believe that when every single aspect of the country is going to crap and we ALL know it and are experiencing it and the so called President is a grifting Parkinson addled dementia patient who appears to spend everyday making things worse for actual American citizens….that he is approved of by the majority of Americans because…*checks notes*..no mean tweets….smh

Seriously to even discuss these polls as if they are genuine is absurb.

Oh, no. Don’t be silly.
The honeymoon is just starting, and don’t be surprised if they get 100% of the vote in every upcoming election.

Don’t believe me?
It’s been done before and we are clearly heading in that direction.

Indeed. The Franz von Papen Republicans who colluded with the Communists to deliver the White House to Biden* seem to have a weird belief that everything will go back to normal in 2022 and beyond, the massive cheating will mysteriously cease, and the political pendulum will swing and put the GOP back in control of Congress (where we will be treated to More Failure Theater (TM)). They seem blissfully unaware of the political tsunami that is heading their way, a double whammy of ballot fraud and voter apathy (why vote for Republican candidates who think you are a dangerous terrorist because you don’t believe the 2020 election was squeaky clean?).

Imagine if the fake news misleadia wasn’t pulling out all of the stops to prop up the pedophile…

The worst part is that we all still keep laughing at the Germans of the late ’20s and early ’30s and saying (out loud yet), “How could such a supposedly smart people ever let themselves be bamboozled like that!”

I’m gonna party like it’s 1933.

You are a fucking moron if you think any Democrat Presidents honeymoon ever ends….no matter how disastrous that Presidency is.

I give as much credibility to polls as I do to the election results.

Since both are left-wing polls what is the real number.

Lucifer Morningstar | August 4, 2021 at 8:33 am

Oh please, the polls might be dropping like a rock but the “honeymoon” is far from over. But the propaganda arm of the democrat party (AKA liberal mainstream media) will never have anything bad to say about the Biden regime. Guaranteed.

The Biden burden. To be clear, not that “burden”. Hold your double-edged scalpels, vacuums, and other weapons of human rites.
