Democrats Already Anticipating Deep Losses in 2022

The 2022 midterm elections are still over a year away and a lot can happen between now and then. Democrats are already sounding the alarm to each other.

Naturally, they are not talking about changing anything on a policy level. They’re just concerned about their messaging.

CNN reports:

‘Ignore us at your peril’: Democrats fear losing House as party leaders push to sharpen message

House Democrats in some of the most competitive districts are growing increasingly anxious about their ability to hold on to their seats, with party leaders warning that they could sustain deep losses if they don’t sharpen their message and retool their strategy in the battle for control of the chamber in next year’s midterms.

The concerns, voiced by several moderate Democrats in swing districts, center on fears that their economic messages — and some of their party’s biggest accomplishments like an expanded child tax credit — have not broken through…

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, a New York Democrat who chairs the DCCC, discussed new polling of 1,000 likely 2022 voters in more than 48 battleground districts and areas. And Maloney told his colleagues: “If the election were held today, we would lose,” according to multiple sources and confirmed by the DCCC…

“It reaffirmed our belief, and our urging of the DCCC, to make sure that leadership understands that they need to really listen to us … They’ve got to trust us,” said one Democrat in a key battleground district. “Ignore us at your peril.”

The article does include optimism from some Democrats who think they’re going to successfully paint Republicans as anti-vaxxers and insurrectionists, but that’s not likely to work.

Republicans only have to take five seats to flip the house and one to take the senate.

Over at Politico, again, the worry is about messaging:

House Dem campaign chief warns the majority at risk without message reboot

During a closed-door lunch last week with some of his most vulnerable incumbents, House Democrats’ campaign chief delivered a blunt warning: If the midterms were held now, they would lose the majority.

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) followed that bleak forecast, which was confirmed by multiple people familiar with the conversation, with new polling that showed Democrats falling behind Republicans by a half-dozen points on a generic ballot in battleground districts. Maloney advised the party to course-correct ahead of 2022 by doing more to promote President Joe Biden’s agenda, which remains popular with swing voters…

And it’s not just those so-called frontliners who have begun to alert their colleagues. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), who co-leads caucus messaging, gave a wake-up call to another group of fellow Democrats last week, telling colleagues that the party needed to better explain what Democrats have been doing to help the Covid-ravaged economy.

“We’re not breaking through,” Dingell said at that Thursday meeting of about 50 Democrats, according to people in the room. Dingell was echoing a message she’d sent earlier last week in a leadership meeting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her deputies, where the Michigander said people didn’t think Democrats were doing enough to boost the economy back in her home state, particularly its auto industry…

“The polling looked pretty dismal to me,” according to one Democratic member who attended the briefing, who addressed it candidly on condition of anonymity.

What we need in 2022 is what we had in 2010, a red wave that many referred to as the great “shellacking.”

Gee, you think that’s why they tipped their hand on all this insane socialism so fast?

I predict the worst antebellum midterm performance in American history.

The Dem socialists have tipped their hand and revealed their true agenda and every real American is disgusted.

It depends on who does the counting.

And, who does the redistricting. Here in North Carolina the last 3 redistricting maps have been drawn by Democrats or Democrat Judges. For the first time in years this Census redistricting is going to be drawn by Republicans. And, the Census gave us another Congressional District. Don’t be surprised if NC picks up 2 or 3 GOP Congressmen.

You’re right. Their lunacy is on display for all to see. DJT has nothing to lose and hopefully he’ll go scorched earth against them.

He closed the border. Achieved Energy Security, Dramatically strengthened the Trade portfolio. He supported Police. He reinvigorated the Military. He made possible 4 significant peace treaties. And, he kept that Bitch Nancy Pelosi in check.

Deep losses…

If the Dems cannot manage to make mass mailed no-ID mail-in ballots business-as-usual in enough states. And if they cannot otherwise rig enough elections. And if Big Tech censorship and the Dem-MSM propaganda machine cannot keep enough voters ignorant of unpleasant facts and reality — what they call misinformation, disinformation, and lies. And if the GOP vote margins are enough to overwhelm their grass roots election fraud operations.

Then, yes. Maybe deep losses.

But that’s a lot of ‘ifs’ the GOP must overcome. Especially if they continue to do nothing while making deals with The Hologram and its Regime.

They could start by booting Cheney and Kinzinger from their committees and banishing them from all GOP meetings. And by telling the Dem socialists to take their fake infrastructure pork bill and shove it where it belongs.

Kevim McCarthy is milquetoast. Mcconnell is a corrupt rat.

If we manage to get past rigged voting machines, we still have the GOP in the way.

I was at the Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) GOP meeting when the leader of the State GOP machine announced that Richard Burr was not running for re-election.
He nearly received a standing ovation. Our response shocked some old line Republicans. And, that was just the beginning. America First is taking over the Party.

In the House, the Democrats took the unprecedented step of rejecting the Republican’s representatives on the January 6th committee, choosing to pick the Republican’s that they wanted. They’ve canceled conservatives and their views in K-12 schools, colleges, the governments they control, work places, our history, our culture, in the media, and in social media. With this ideological domination of our country, they’ve shown they have no respect for any view other than their own. If they canceled conservative in all these institutions, why wouldn’t they cancel votes and the candidates they don’t like?

henrybowman in reply to ruralguy. | August 4, 2021 at 8:57 pm

There’s a Time Magazine feature article that already documents that they did.

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | August 5, 2021 at 12:27 am

Not really. That article is not about election fraud; it assumes there wasn’t any. It’s about the operation after the election, to convince everyone that there was no fraud. Which, according to the writers, was the truth, so they’re full of admiration for how it worked. Of course if you assume there was fraud, the whole thing looks a lot more sinister. But that’s how we read it; it isn’t in the article itself.

healthguyfsu in reply to Milhouse. | August 5, 2021 at 3:59 pm

Actually without intending to do so, the article points out that we can’t really know if there was fraud because of how many are out there trying to convince us that there’s nothing to see.

The Friendly Grizzly | August 4, 2021 at 5:59 pm

The Republicans may get the house. Any chance of taking the Srnate? I mean realistically?

Any chance the GOPe Senators will not “reach across the aisle” making the Republican majority moot?

henrybowman in reply to The Friendly Grizzly. | August 4, 2021 at 6:11 pm

I’d love to say that Arizona is going to send Kelly packing. Brnovich is running against him and he has strong constitutionalist approval, including from gun owners. Which means the McCain machine will be out to undercut him with sharp knives. Time will tell.

Sure. The senate may fall at any time; all it takes is something happening to a D senator from a state with a R governor.

The_Mew_Cat in reply to The Friendly Grizzly. | August 5, 2021 at 9:45 am

They have a chance to take the Senate, but not a great one – even if there is a landslide in House contests. The problem is the map favors the democrats, there are 5+ GOP retirements leaving open competitive seats, the Democrats cheating methods work best in statewide races where there are big Democrat cities, the new Alaska top 4 ranked choice voting system makes it possible for a Democrat to win, and overturning Roe v Wade 4 months before the election will energize affluent suburbanites to vote Democrat.

Don’t get lulled into complacency by this prediction. That’s how Hillary cratered.

Plus, choose wisely. Electing a random RINO isn’t going to save your freedom.

What we need in 2022 is what we had in 2010, a red wave that many referred to as the great “shellacking.”

And yet we still have Obamacare and most of Obama’s agenda is moving along nicely after the unpleasantness of 2017-2020.

If the Democrat Party continues to spend like drunken sailors, we may have some pretty nasty inflation next year. Their unemployment stuff has made companies have to increase wages if they have a prayer in getting employees. This will ripple upwards in the companies. The companies will then have to get the money to pay these by raising prices. If that happens, the misery index will be rather high. Time will tell.

caseoftheblues in reply to lhw. | August 4, 2021 at 6:25 pm

The Dems have learned they can cheat as much and as blatently as they want and absolutely no one, not the state leg., the judical, or the House or Senate, DOJ, FBI, state AG, Guvs, media…will do a damn thing except ignore or more likely help them. No way they will not continue to cheat to get whatever outcome they want

No future federal government level election in the US will be like past elections. 2020 changed everything.

With the GOP continuing to keep its head in the sand, as per usual, elections in the US will increasingly resemble elections in third world countries and totalitarian ‘Democratic Republics’.

“The GOP will always arrive at the correct position on an issue at the precise moment it becomes too late to do any meaningful good.” — Jesse Kelly

    p in reply to lhw. | August 4, 2021 at 6:36 pm

The Dems are desperate to get the behemoth $3.5 trillion tax, spend, and other stuff that the public won’t know about until it’s too late bill through Congress sooner rather than later. They know there’s only a limited amount of time to pass all sorts of policy stuff early in a president’s first term and they know time is running out, fast. And the public is waking up to government spending being unsustainable. (Just wait to see the polling when their taxes go up.)

    But no, it’s the messaging.

Ironclaw in reply to lhw. | August 4, 2021 at 10:28 pm

Drunken sailors at least have to stop when they run out of money…

It warms my heart to think that the democrats may lose the majority. But then I realize that it will go to the Republicans – also known as the party of self-destructive idiocy – and I reach for the whiskey.

NYBruin in reply to irv. | August 4, 2021 at 6:37 pm

But it will put an end to Nancy Pelosi’s speakership &, hopefully, her career. She’s 81 years old for crying out loud!

Be careful what you wish for…San Fran Nan is a known liability and easy for both sides to hate pretty effectively.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to irv. | August 4, 2021 at 6:59 pm

    So do I, and, I don’t drink.

I am sure that millions of Marxist votes will amazingly appear between 1 am and 4 am, just like they did in 2020.

Maloney advised the party to course-correct ahead of 2022 by doing more to promote President Joe Biden’s agenda, which remains popular with swing voters…

So…whose agenda have the Communists been promoting since they seized power on 1/6?

Not given enough attention, rebalancing of house seats based on the census and redistricting by the statehouses. Redrawing districts can make or break the house as well.
How will be the net benefactors in these very important factors.

A good cheat needs plausible deniability. They had just enough of that to squeeze the last couple fixes by.

If they piss off everybody save the radicals, which they seem hellbent on doing, to the point that their base blocs stay home, protest vote for third parties, or worst, vote Republican, then the amount of required cheating to keep them in won’t offer them even the veneer of legitimacy.

Ironclaw in reply to drednicolson. | August 4, 2021 at 10:33 pm

They didn’t have a veneer of legitimacy this time with anyone with a functioning brain. The cheat was much too obvious and had a lead-in with all of the unconstitutional changes made to election laws that nobody who isn’t stupid enough to vote for a dementia-ridden pedophile could ignore it.

They’re not going to be losing anything. We’re not making it to the 2020 election, or past it:

Democrats broke through—the stupidity frontier—and are jumping right off the cliff like the SJW lemmings they are. The more lockdowns, Marxist economic policies and outlandish racism and bigotry they display—the more they drive even the most leftist voters away. They only drive the real extreme lefties away because they will not have been able to pass all of their political fantasies into real law.

Its instructive what Democrats are doing vs what they should be doing right.

What Democrats are doing:
Trying to paint Republicans as anti-vaxxers and defund the police supporters.

What Democrats SHOULD be doing:
Governing America for the benefit of all Americans.

So its somewhat telling which way Democrats are going. Why its almost as if doing the right thing for the benefit of Americans isnt even a passing thought to these fucking morons.

Here we go again–the Democrats always think the problem is the messaging and that the public is too stupid to understand, when the real problem is that their policies are awful, damage people and people reject them

barbiegirl ny | August 5, 2021 at 7:14 pm

Yeah, but look at all the damage that will have been done by then. Look at all the damage that’s ALREADY been done. It doesn’t help that the Pussy party represents the rest of us, either. Even if Republicans win in a landslide, will they puss out as they did when we had all 3 branches of the government? We cannot count on any of these bastards, too many of whom are as corrupt as the day is long–R and D..
