Critics Blast Fauci for Saying New Mask Mandates ‘Under Active Consideration’

Americans are no longer willing to accept a one-size-fits-all mandate coming from public health officials they no longer trust.

https://youtu.be/s1cU_JEL9J8

As we consider the start of another week of COVID-19 pandemic news, it is an excellent time to remember that all the vaccines are experimental.

And while the vaccines initially seemed to be halting outbreaks and the spread of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 5,492 “breakthrough” COVID-19 cases in vaccinated individuals as of July 12.

Scientists are using the term “breakthrough” infections for those who get COVID-19 while fully vaccinated, the Associated Press reported. Of the 5,492 of breakthrough cases reported by the CDC, the individuals had to be hospitalized or had died out of over 159 million inoculated U.S. residents. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said 99.5 percent of COVID-19 deaths occurred with unvaccinated individuals.

“When you hear about a breakthrough infection, that doesn’t necessarily mean the vaccine is failing,” said the leading U.S. infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, in front of a Senate panel this week.

Top health experts say the vaccines are working since they significantly reduce extreme sickness and death.

Let’s hope that the vaccines genuinely prevent the worst effects of the coronavirus and that the assertion isn’t some face-saving move. We have received so few facts during the pandemic.

Leading expert Dr. Anthony Fauci made his way around n the weekend talk circuit again. During a CNN interview with Jake Tapper this weekend, Fauci indicated that the CDC is considering renewing mask mandates.

According to the Associated Press, Fauci told CNN that he’s taken part in conversations about altering the guidelines, something he described as being “under active consideration.”

In May, the CDC issued guidance that said vaccinated people could go without masks in most settings — not including places like airplanes, buses and trains. Last week, a CDC spokesperson told FOX Television Stations, “At this time, we have no intention of changing our masking guidance.”

…The CDC and White House have stressed multiple times that more than 99% of recent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID-19 have occurred among the unvaccinated.

“This is an issue predominantly among the unvaccinated, which is the reason why we’re out there, practically pleading with the unvaccinated people to go out and get vaccinated,” said Fauci, the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

As a reminder, emails that came out in June showed “Fauci’s blatant, politically-motivated lies to the public but also the great lengths the legacy media and Big Tech went to shut down any discussion of the virus’s origins or mask use efficacy. It was not about stopping the spread of “misinformation” but was a calculated political ploy to shut down the truth.”

As a result, critics are blasting Fauci’s statements.

“Fauci chirping this weekend the vaccinated may well be back behind masks soon,” tweeted conservative columnist Chris Stigall. “Proving this isn’t about anything other than control. It’s sure as hell not about science.”

“And they wonder why the public doesn’t know who to trust when the messaging is constantly changing,” tweeted Independent Women’s Voice, a conservative policy advocacy organization.

If mask mandates were going to work, they would have already worked. If the vaccines were working as advertised, we wouldn’t be seeing the number of breakthrough cases that we are seeing.

The virus has likely been engineered to adhere to the human respiratory system.  Now it’s become even more transmissible. It is an airborne pathogen, and there are limited, cost-effective ways to remove it from the atmosphere we are all required to breathe.

The time has come to accept that it is ubiquitous, and eventually, likely, we are all going to get a COVID infection. Perhaps, with this in mind, it is best to accept that fact. Everyone should take a long, hard look at how to address their risk factors instead of creating more economy-killing, liberty-crushing rules that clearly can’t, and won’t, work.

Americans are no longer willing to accept a one-size-fits-all mandate from public health officials they no longer trust. The curve may not have been flattened, but our respect for both science and the press sure has.

Here is how they are manipulating the infections data.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/07/25/with-narrative-established-cdc-announces-withdrawal-of-rapid-response-covid-test-to-belatedly-stop-diagnosing-influenza-as-sars-cov-2/

Just as many of us have pointed out for quite some time, they changed the tests to include the normal annual influenza and by encouraging more people to get tested, the numbers were again inflated by capturing non-symptomatic people who normally don’t get tested.

A few months ago, I asked a friend of mine who is a lab technician who does nothing but test for the flu how they distinguish WuFlu from the regular annual influenza and he admitted not knowing. He is not a medical expert just a lab technician but he also added that they change the testing
protocols from time to time without explanation, at least not to the technicians.
This entire WuFlu/WHO/CDC hoax has become an epic farce.

The swab test picks up the genetic material of the virus so no it won’t pick any other virus. It’s also the case that with accurate tests (and they are) the more testing the better. That equates to more accurate stats not less so your conclusion is exactly wrong.

      randian in reply to mark311. | July 26, 2021 at 10:42 pm

More tests = more false positives. That’s the point of more tests at this point. PCR tests aren’t accurate.

        mark311 in reply to randian. | July 27, 2021 at 4:07 am

        @randian

The false positive rate is extremely low. Estimates are between 0.8 and 4.3%

        https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/transparencyandgovernance/freedomofinformationfoi/falsepositivityrateofthecovid19pcrtest

        @BSR

What on earth are you talking about, the test specifically tests for the virus’s genetic material by definition it’s testing for the virus. It specifically designed to test if you have an adequate viral load to class as infected or not. The viral load is cycled through UpTo 40 times setting an upper limited on what counts as enough viral material.

The creator of the test never said that, he has been misquoted that’s been debunked.

With respect to Fauci I can’t find a quote, given the number of times he has been misquoted misrepresented and generally had right wing ass hats misunderstand him I’d like to see a quote.

For comprehension BSR the PCR test does not test for the glue, won’t conflate the two and therefore your entire point is nonsense. There is no evidence that the PCR test finds flue. Nor would a positive test come back if a single dead particle of covid come back hence why there is an upper limit of 40 cycles

Given your complete lack of evidence for any aspect of any point you make Id suggest you actually read some decent sites on the medical data.

No offence BSR it’s pretty clear that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to mark311. | July 26, 2021 at 11:48 pm

“The swab test picks up the genetic material of the virus so no it won’t pick any other virus.”

The swab picks up all materiel, viral and otherwise. The PCR test them replicates viral particles 35 to 40 times to look for specific COVID viral enzymes. That’s turning one enzyme from a COVID virus into almost 550,000,000,000 particles. It is surprising there are negatives.

The PCR test cannot tell you if you have been infected, are infected, or will be infected. It can only tell you have been exposed to dead viral particles. You can give a PCR test to car and it can test positive. This is also why PCR tests given to animals also turn up positive though these animals cannot become infected with or spread the virus.

It’s a useless test. Who says so? Dr Fauci does in a rare moment of candor, as does the creator of the technology, and now the CDC which is phasing out its use.

So far from providing more accurate data, the PCR test provides more misleading data the more it is used. Likely the flu this year has been subsumed into the COVID hysteria. People feel bad and go to the doctor with flu symptoms, which are very similar to COVID symptoms. So the medical provider gives a guy a PCR test, which comes back positive, even though he does not have COVID, but rather the flu, but nonetheless gets tallied as another COVID “case” whilst (I did that for you Mark to add comprehension) all that happened is the guy inhaled a single dead COVID particle.

Right now there is actually a common cold going around in the US. People feel bad and say to themselves, “My God! Maybe it’s COVID!!!!!” and go to the doctor, who gives them a PCR test, which them picks up a dead COVID particle and produces a positive PCR COVID test. Notice suddenly, they are saying DELTA variant symptoms a lot like symptoms of the common cold and mortality is a lot lower? Initially, the CDC said there was no difference between DELTA variant symptoms and those of the original strain. But now, people are starting say the symptoms are evolving to be like the common cold, like they became for flu like in description over the winter and spring.

Bad test yields bad data and a distorted understanding of the problem.

      100% wrong….per usual

TY Leslie,

I don’t trust any of those nit wits. Maybe, just maybe, public health should never end up with mandates. Seems to me we are past the slippery slope now,,, into the abyss,,, accelerating at 32.174 ft/s2. Happy Monday.

BTW in my small circle of friends/family.. I personally know 3 breakthrough cases. One of which seems pretty severe.

scooterjay in reply to amwick. | July 26, 2021 at 9:38 am

I see what you did there. Gravity ALWAYS wins…..

henrybowman in reply to amwick. | July 26, 2021 at 3:28 pm

They are exploring the boundaries of their new power that people are allowing them to use the words “pubic health” as root passwords to the constitution. The only thing that will stop this is our stonewall refusal to let them do it.

The mask mandate is ineffectual and counterproductive. The vaccines largely are effective in minimizing severe outcomes and death. However, the Delta variant is exactly what we would expect; a mutation to a less serious but more transmissible version.

Breakthrough infections are occurring but seem to have minimal impact. The only populations at serious risk are the frail elderly and those with other issues; diabetes, heart problems, respiratory problems, obesity, comprised immune systems.

Everyone can get a vaccine if they choose. Many have not. Some because they have naturally acquired immunity. Others are skeptical of these engineered vax v traditionally developed vax.

A mask mandate protects public health how? If the true answer is limiting spread between those with either natural immunity or immunity by vax then that undercuts the efficacy of the vax drive.

Even then, which mask? All masks are not equally effective. In applying these mandates as public health policy the masks must meet a threshold of effectiveness as a medical device if they are being, in effect, prescribed via a mandate. Is the FDA monitoring their production and quality control?

Don’t forget that there are people who cannot get the jab because of things like allergies to the ingredients and health conditions for which getting a shot would potentially cause a problem, something like being predisposed to blood clots, for example.

Also, if I recall masks of any type are supposed to be changed out something like every 4 hours. How many people actually do that?

      gonzotx in reply to p. | July 26, 2021 at 10:24 am

Actually 30 mins for the surgical blues you see

      CommoChief in reply to p. | July 26, 2021 at 10:55 am

The point is if one wants the vax and isn’t contraindicated by a condition they can get it.
People are capable of managing risk.

Valid point re real world use v proper use of mask.

Here’s another; what about the fit? A certain minimum snug fit is important. It can’t be loose. Does facial hair impede the proper fit? How much hair is ok? What about those with substantial facial hair?

Does the public health concerns outweigh religious beliefs for those who adopt substantial beards as an aspect of religion? If not why not?

The larger point I am making here is that making a decree to mask, without addressing and implementing minimum standards as to form, function, proper use, disposal, replacement and factors like beards which may impede function reveals the unserious nature of the mask policy.

Unless and until the public health community can adopt masking standards and provide evidence that these standards are effective then the mask policy isn’t related to public health, because they haven’t demonstrated any link to public health.

henrybowman in reply to CommoChief. | July 26, 2021 at 3:31 pm

People with substantial facial hair use neck gaiters, which Mask Karens then tell them are unacceptable; they must wear the same stupid partial face masks as everyone else, the ones that are absolutely known now to work.

Follow the Political Science, dammit. Conformity uber alles!

“…the Delta variant is exactly what we would expect; a mutation to a less serious but more transmissible version.”

So like all coronaviruses (my new hypothesis), it eventually mutates into the common cold and gets a new name.

CommoChief in reply to Pasadena Phil. | July 26, 2021 at 12:20 pm

Sure. Rona will likely continue to mutate and decrease in negative outcomes for the host and become one of the many background viruses floating around. No symbiotic organisms can endure by killing the host.

    mark311 in reply to CommoChief. | July 26, 2021 at 4:07 pm

You do realize that when a virus is so transmittable that large numbers of low risk are infected that still equates to a significant death rate don’t you. Tell me how many children are dead from the common cold vs covid then come back to me.

      CommoChief in reply to mark311. | July 26, 2021 at 10:10 pm

      Mark,

Well as long as we are discussing statistics; just in 2021 over 900 people have been shot in exclusively d/progressive run Chicago and 400 of those died. Which is a higher body count than the number of 18 and below who contracted Rona and died.

You need to stop letting fear control your life. People face risk everyday in a 1000 different ways. You want to live in a consequence free zone? Ok establish that zone and bring the rest of your choir with you. Let the rest of carry on with living our lives.

The pushback to your choir chanting doom and gloom is just beginning. IMO, it’s going to be quite spectacular when it fully blossoms.

I would suggest that when the bloom of freedom from self serving, elitist policy makers arrives that you should step aside and let everyone get on with life.

        mark311 in reply to CommoChief. | July 27, 2021 at 4:15 am

That’s a separate issue. We are talking about the virus and policy relating to it.

You’ve never answered how exactly a mask is an inhibition to your freedom. Would you apply the same argument to some one giving you cpr if you have an issue, or giving you medical attention in general if you were unconscious. It’s the most moronic argument I’ve ever heard.

As for the stats having a prevantable virus run amok because asshats can’t be bothered to wear a mask causing the deaths of 600k people is an inhibition on many peoples freedom and indeed there right to life. The death rate is about 0.01% for kids so do the math

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to mark311. | July 27, 2021 at 12:06 am

“Tell me how many children are dead from the common cold vs covid then come back to me.”

Well, I’m not sure about the common cold, but according to the CDC, in 2018, the last year data is available, 683 children age 14 and under died of the flu. Compare that to the number of COVID deaths recorded by the CDC of children under 17 (seventeen, no fourteen) in 16 months, a time span 33% longer, stands at 331. Also in 2018, quite tragically, 642 children in America were murdered.

Therefore, a child in the United States is almost twice as likely to me murdered than die of COVID. And for COVID we must end civilization as we know it.

      Great logical thinking there.

      Mercyneal in reply to mark311. | July 27, 2021 at 5:23 am

      Huh?

If any of the so called experts demonstrated even a tiny bit of accuracy in the past, I may pay attention to their prattle. The whole bunch have been guessing and guessed wrong.

Fauci and the CDC totally destroyed their own credibility for me with their constant lies and incompetence. I’m highly skeptical of anything they say.

Fauci should be locked up. I was happy to see Rand Paul do what he did, but unfortunately I don’t think anything will come of the referral.

Fat_Freddys_Cat | July 26, 2021 at 10:45 am

No doubt next year he’ll be saying we have to go back into lockdown. You know, just in time for the midterm elections…

Sooner than that. Trump is out there right now campaigning again to the usual YUGE crowds. He is in AZ for now but I’m sure he will be heading to GA, WI, MI and wherever pitchforks and torches are needed to educate the judges and to offset the political shenanigans by politicians who more than ever need to rig the elections if they hope to survive the Trump wave. They will do anything to stop him but everything they try makes him even more popular.

I had my Covid for Christmas, *and* I got my shots afterward. I’m about as contagious as a bottle of Clorax and don’t want to wear a mask anywhere, *but* I will wear one on my upcoming airline flight. The air is always dry there anyway, and with a couple hundred people stuffed into an aluminum tube a few miles above the ground, I’m willing to put on a costume to calm the easily excitable. Mask, earphones, movie, sleep.

Valerie in reply to georgfelis. | July 26, 2021 at 6:08 pm

The air exchange rate in airplanes is terrible — for the purpose of saving fuel. I wonder if they have inline UV scrubbers, yet?

The PCR test did its job by bringing the case count high enough that the (mostly Democrat) governors could use that data point alone to change the election laws due to the COVID emergency. Now the CDC and our betters don’t want to count influenza infections as COVID because the vaccine would be at risk and VOILA! no more PCR test.

I’ll be damned if I’m putting a mask on for anybody – except on an airplane.

.
“We have received so few facts during the pandemic.”

Incompetent data collection, Incompetent data analysis, incompetent reporting.

And that’s not counting the manipulation of the above for political purposes.

randian in reply to gibbie. | July 26, 2021 at 10:47 pm

Current vaccine data collection isn’t incompetent, it’s deliberately designed to produce fake statistics that make the vaccines look better than they really are.

Ironclaw in reply to gibbie. | July 26, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Not incompetent. They knew damn well they were lying.

He should be blasted for pretending that the only tool for controlling this epidemic is the vaccine. Our clinicians have developed excellent tools for dealing with this infection. Failure to use early outpatient treatment is immoral.

Here is my two cents, I bet if you collated where the illegals were sent you will find the increase in cases

I am visting Barrington Rhode Island and Seeking MA, from my home in upstate NY. NO ONE is wearing a mask here in stores or anywhere. No one. A bartender at a packed Irish pub told me yesterday that if there is a mask mandate no one will wear one. Wish my county in NY were more defiant. Still see idiots wearing mask outdoors

“The CDC and White House have stressed multiple times that more than 99% of recent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID-19 have occurred among the unvaccinated”

Given their history of lying, I don’t believe this.

henrybowman in reply to randian. | July 27, 2021 at 1:38 am

Well, it might be technically true. People who die of vaccine side-effects aren’t actually dying “of COVID.”

The goal is to get everyone vaccinated NOT to eradicate the WuFlu (impossible). It’s the first very big step to squelch whatever the next mandated shot will be. THAT is what we are really fighting here. We will have no right to refuse ANY shots or intrusive procedures mandated by the government if we lose this fight. Think of it as0paving the way to legalize universal post-natal abortion to eradicate 74 million domestic terrorists.
