Capitol Police Will Arrest House Staffers, Visitors Who Break Pelosi’s Mask Mandate

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said everyone must wear a mask in the House halls. The Capitol Police must enforce the mandate, which includes anyone who refuses to wear one and leave when asked.

In today’s edition of Pelosi’s abuse of power, Capitol Police have been directed to arrest staff and visitors to comply with her mask mandate for vaccinated individuals.
For Members, they advise not arresting but “reporting Members to SAA for their failure to comply.”

“In addition, the UCSP officers who work in the House Division or the House-side of the Capitol Division shall enforce this mask policy on all staff and visitors within the above noted locations,” announced the police. “This includes all House Office Buildings, the Hall of the House, and House Committee meetings.”
The police make an exception for representatives because I guess they’re more special than regular people.
But! If you see a congressperson without a mask you must report them to Big Brother. You normies can get arrested:
If a visitor or staff member fails to wear a mask after a request is made to do so, the visitor or staff shall be denied entry to the House Buildings or House-side of the U.S. Capitol. Any person who fails to either comply or leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to arrest for Unlawful Entry, D.C. Code 22-3302.
If a staffer, who is accompanying a member, refuses to wear a mask, that refusal should be noted and reported to a supervisor who will, in turn, refer the matter to the House Sergeant at Arms.
I must leave my House of Representatives? These people work for us. That is our House. We pay for it. We pay their salaries.
To be clear: Pelosi is directing police to ARREST vaccinated people who aren’t wearing masks.

The problem is the lack of evidence supporting the efficacy of any mask. Saying wear a mask but not connecting that to evidence supporting that this particular mask with these characteristics provides x level of protection under y conditions ….that isn’t science.
These policies in the name of public health have to have some reasonable basis rooted in actually protecting public health. The deference the CT allowed at the beginning of this, when data was sketchy, is wholly inappropriate 18 months later.
The exec and public health can’t refuse to do studies to gather the data that would prove or disprove the efficacy of their policy preferences and then turn around and demand continued deference because their underlying theory might be true. Not after 18+ months.
I’m listening to Kevi McCarthy on Rush’s former show, complaining about Pelosi’s unprecedented, tyrannical acts as speaker.
The big takeaway: McCarthy is impotent. He’s not the guy we need at this point in history.

Notice it is only for the House side of the Capitol complex? That’s because the Senate is operating under different, as in less stringent, mask-wearing requirements. Someone standing in the House side of the Capitol Building could walk over to the Senate side, take off the mask, and not be at risk for arrest. If the same person returned to the House side, they’d have to put the mask back on before they got there to avoid being told to do so.
Silly…the Coof is not as contagious on the Senate side.

This mask order only works if most people comply. If no Republican complied, what would happen? If nobody complied, what would happen? I expect the Republicans to submit/surrender, then complain rather than doing anything, and then ask for donations. Totalitarians depend on submission. This is not a legal issue. This proves that the Capitol Police behavior before and during the 1-6-2021 events was at Peolosi’s behest to create chaos she could exploit.

Someone needs to read the Constitution, which is clear and unambiguous on this point:
Article 1, Section 6
“They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.”
As for her authority, Article 1 Section 5:
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.
If you refuse to comply with the Capitol Police instruction, is the police officer going to cry?
Are the Capitol police prepared this time? Maybe they should have a few practice runs shoving around groups of elementary school kids first to see if any of them can take the pressure of policing without getting traumatized. Then they can work their way up towards real policing, where people might say rude things to them or go through the wrong door or something.
