U.S. Will Likely Miss Biden’s July 4th COVID Vaccination Goal of 70% of Adults

U.S. Will Likely Miss Biden’s July 4th COVID Vaccination Goal of 70% of Adults

“…it would take Mississippi a year to reach the White House’s 70-percent target, which Republican Gov. Tate Reeves has called ‘arbitrary, to say the least.'”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of new cases of COVID-19 continues to plunge. While the current administration refuses to acknowledge Operation Warp Speed, it is clear that President Donald Trump’s full vaccination rollout has played a vital role in this development.

The seven-day average of new, daily coronavirus cases dropped to 13,277, the first time it has fallen below 15,000 since the first weeks of the pandemic in March of 2020, top U.S. health officials said Tuesday.

The daily average has dropped to one-third the average number of cases seen just three weeks ago. Five months ago the U.S. was seeing 15,000 cases every 90 minutes.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said barely more than 10,000 new cases were reported Monday. She noted that deaths and hospitalizations related to COVID-19 also have continued their precipitous decline.

Walensky credited the 300 million-plus vaccination shots already administered across the nation for the encouraging numbers.

“It gives me so much hope,” she said. “Each week there are more and more data to demonstrate the impact vaccination has on preventing this disease and moving us out of this pandemic.”

Despite the vaccine’s success, many Americans opt to forgo the shot…especially in light of the Anthony Fauci revelations that indicate that COVID19 is no more lethal to humans than a bad flu.

Infection fatality rates in spring 2020 — the height of the pandemic — were 0.06 percent in Santa Clara, California. They were also 0.06 percent in Los Angeles, 0.18 percent in Miami Dade County.

In other words, by Fauci’s own definition, what we were experiencing was effectively a severe seasonal flu season, at the worst. But that’s not what Fauci said under oath when he testified at a House oversight hearing in March of last year. In that hearing, Fauci claimed the COVID-19 infection mortality rate was around one percent — which, Fauci explained, means it’s “10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu.”

So, as is the case with the flu vaccine, many have chosen not to get the vaccine. It appears the current administration will not achieve its 70% goal of adult vaccination by July 4th.

Every day, the U.S is looking more and more like it will fall short of President Joe Biden’s goal to have 70 percent of American adults at least partially vaccinated by July 4.

As of Tuesday, 63.8 percent of those aged 18 and older – about 164.5 million people – have gotten at least an initial shot, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

About 16 million unvaccinated adults need to receive at least one dose in the next four weeks for Biden to meet his goal.

But the pace of new vaccinations in the U.S. has dropped to about 500,000 people per day – down from a high of 3.5 million per day in April.

The White House has launched a month-long blitz to combat vaccine hesitancy and a lack of urgency to get shots, particularly in the South and Midwest, but it is increasingly resigned to missing the president’s vaccination target.

The South will become a prime target. For example, in Mississippi, only 34% of adults have received the vaccination. Public health officials ask governors to ‘pull our all the stops’ to increase that rate.

COVID-19 coordinator Jeff Zients made an impassioned plea for governors to join the Biden administration in “pulling out all the stops” on vaccinations this month.

“We need your leadership on the ground—which is where it matters the most—more than ever,” he said.

At its current pace, it would take Mississippi a year to reach the White House’s 70-percent target, which Republican Gov. Tate Reeves has called “arbitrary, to say the least.”

I wish Zients good luck with his request after revelations regarding the distortions and disinformation that public health officials and the American press have pushed on the public for the past 18 months. Unfortunately, I can imagine even more shocking new information will come out soon that will make it even more challenging to hit the vaccination goal.

Yesterday, several studies were released that proved that those who have had covid and recovered have an immunity that last as long as any other viral immunity. Of course medical doctors have been saying this for near 2 years now. However Fauci, the duplicitous quack, has said otherwise. This means that those who have covid antibodies should be added to the vaccinated. This number is thought to be huge as MOST cases are asymptomatic or mimic a cold.

Covid detections spiked downward sharply when the number of ‘replications’ was lowered on the test, coincidently when Biden took office. (Amazing how that works) I don’t think there has ever been a good statistical examination of the US population to determine how much herd immunity we have, because vast swings in regional vaccine acceptance and the wild swings in Covid false positives/negatives would make such analysis worthless (or worse, used to back up whatever angle the users want)

I can say one thing with 100% certainty: Get your shot. Covid sucks. Any possible side-effects are orders of magnitude less of a pain than than getting it for real.

Can I upvote your first paragraph and downvote your second? I whole heartedly agree with the first, and there is nothing in this life that will make me get that non-“vaccine”. Nor will I allow my minor children. My husband, he is an adult and can make his own choices, and thus far, he is unwilling. More unwilling as more reports of the side-effects come out.

I finally got the J&J 5 weeks ago. There have not been any issues so far, I picked it in part because of how it is made, and in part because it covers the African mutation. I am interested in hearing opinions about it.

We got the J&J. And like you learned that it effective against all know variants and is expected to effective against all future variants. Note that all variants are weaker than the initial strain, contrary to what blue state governors and Fauci aver. Our vax center was manned by real doctors, including a National Guard medical unit. The vaccine seems particularly suitable for those over 40, as a number of young people had an uncomfortable day after as their bodies, with very strong immune systems and fully loaded with vitamin D tried to attack the Vax RNA, however there were zero real complaints and the symptoms were considerably less than those reported about the second Moderna shot. And like you probably told, there is no need for a booster shot and you will never see the inside of a hospital due to covid alone. The doctors in our county really like this vaccine.

Good for you! Wifey and I had it in early April; me 100.4F on/off for 48 hours beat it, with a cough that held out for a few days beyond. Wife had no fever and a worse cough. No loss of taste or smell for either of us. Knowing we now have natural antibodies, we’ve resisted the jab.

Previous to that, we just took C, D3 and Zinc. I also take Melatonin which helps ward it off. Have for years. We also relied on Psalm 91. When I got it, I was put out a little, saying to the Father “I thought you said it wouldn’t come near me” – and felt like I was just supposed to surrender to it – so I did – rather than go about my business and try to convince myself and others I didn’t have it. I slept extra hours, relaxed in my recliner which devoted all my resources to kicking Covid’s behind. I don’t know if it’s right to say that I had it – when my bod destroyed it with no more than a low-grade fever and a cough I couldn’t tell was any different than the GRD cough I’ve had for awhile.

I know some get it so much worse – but my experience showed it to be no worse than a slight cold.

read up on what shots do those of us with tachycardia let alone neuro/auto-immune issues.

LibraryGryffon in reply to dmacleo. | June 11, 2021 at 4:43 pm

Which is why I’m not getting it. I have the Factor V Leiden mutation and have already had issues because of it, so getting the J&J is out of the question. And since I have neuro-autoimmune issues the RNAs are not recommended. So even if I wanted to get it (which I don’t) it doesn’t seem like it’s a good idea.

So, I take D, C, zinc, and magnesium supplements. I didn’t pick it up working at a casino which caters to NYC and Asian patrons, and there has been anecdotal evidence that cat owners are somewhat less likely to get the thing because our kitties have already shared tons of corona viri with us. I’m not terribly overweight either and am under 70.

I’m not too worried. (And if I do get it, I’ll request hydroxychloroquine and/or ivermectin on diagnosis.) Interestingly, I was (moderately) sick the day after my husband got the J&J last month, the first and only time I’ve been under the weather since before Christmas.

Between being a lifelong cat owner and being RH-, it seems like my chances are decent. No need to subject myself to an experimental non-vaccine “vaccine.”

But then again I never bought into the hysteria regarding the Wuhan flu scamdemic – not to mention the way there’s a full-court press to shove this “vaxx” down everybody’s throat (“vaxx” passports, loss of liberties, loss of jobs, medical apartheid, surveillance, etc) is suspicious as hell.

I can say one thing with 100% certainty: Get your shot.

We’re all glad you survived. However, how an individual responds to a disease varies with the individual. My son had chicken pox with maybe a dozen pox showing. My daughter had the pox every where, including her eye lids. My experience with chicken pox was not until I was 23-years old and it lasted a solid month. Your condition might elicit sympathy, but isn’t going to sway me to this so called vaccine. Any truth to the rumor that in SEC filings Moderna does not call it a vaccine? They refer to it as a medical device for gene manipulation.

Well, either I can’t count, or this is the 5th, or, I’ve drank a 5th and I’m talking non-sensically. Using the Opera browser, BTW.

I have just heard too many lies about this disease to tolerate a vaccine that has an outrageously high rate of adverse events. It used to be that an adverse event included anything that resulted in the loss of one day’s work. Now, it has been re-defined as death, and we have a high rate of deaths, at least 10x the standard for a vaccine (1 in a million).

The lies about the masks have been use to whip people into a hysterical state of fear, and caused them to bully their neighbors who know better.

Enough of this unscientific dreck.

LibraryGryffon in reply to Valerie. | June 11, 2021 at 5:37 pm

At this point, even if the vaccines had the exact same safety and side effect profile as a saline IV drip, I’d be reluctant. They way they’ve pushed all of this makes my stubborn streak unusually active. 🙂

randian in reply to LibraryGryffon. | June 11, 2021 at 6:53 pm

Even if they had the same profile as saline in the short term that doesn’t tell you anything about the long term. It’s coming out now that about 75% of the mRNA vaccine migrates from your arm. Normal vaccines stay where they are. Where do they end up concentrating? Ovaries, for one. That could be a serious threat to fertility, and with millions of women who have taken these vaccines it would be a population extinction event if infertility was a long-term side effect. That wouldn’t bother people like Bill Gates, who is a big proponent of population control.

Sanddog in reply to randian. | June 11, 2021 at 8:01 pm

What you posted makes no sense. By what mechanism would a mRNA vaccine threaten fertility? Seriously… I hear all these claims but no one seems to be able to explain HOW and WHY it would be a problem.

Ironclaw in reply to Sanddog. | June 11, 2021 at 8:17 pm

Since nobody really knows how they work, anything is possible.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to Sanddog. | June 11, 2021 at 9:35 pm

The link below provides a decent overview of the theoretical basis of the concept. Being this is a an experimental drug, if you are young and healthy I would avoid the mRNA vaccines regardless of you desire for children. The theoretical basis for the worry is not without merit despite what you read in the mainstream press. Remember you have been lied to constantly and other points of view have been actively and aggressively suppressed.

Having said that, we do not have empirical data to indicate this “vaccine” poses a risk of infertility in humans. However, my caution is due to the politicized nature of the information that is collected, analyzed, and disseminated to the public. Bottom line, I an distrustful of the medical, media, and government establishment, and with their behavior and response to COVID, they merit that distrust. Young health people are not a any serious risk to COVID. The mRNA vaccine likely has more serious side effects on a greater number of the young, healthy population than the actual disease, even if that side effect is only a couple of days of lethargy. Therefore, since it has no real benefit to this group, a high rate of short term side-effects of similar severity of the disease it is intended to protect against, and the actual long-term side effects are at this point unknown, young healthy people should carefully weigh taking the mRNA “vaccines,”

Milwaukee in reply to Sanddog. | June 12, 2021 at 5:51 am

Precisely. There are documented side effects we don’t understand. Good reason to avoid the jab. One fellow had his PSA, prostate specific antigen spike from a low decimal to over 3. Months later it went back down. What if health decisions had been made using an inflated value? Not good.

Interesting. There’s no reply button for the 3 comments at this indenture level from Ironclaw, Brave Sir Robin, and Milwaukee.

I think a great number of the ‘adverse events’ relate to the first wave of vaccinations being for the elderly. If you give 20 million shots of normal saline to elderly people, a certain non-trivial number will die of various reasons over the next month. That’s the reason normal vaccines have such large numbers of control groups, so when you have 1 in a million reactions, it’s easier to figure out if its just a 1 in a million random or if it has actual medical relevance. Modern medicine is incredibly risk-averse, and combine that with the immense amount of pure crap that anti-vaxx pseudo-news sources have been pushing, and add in the whole media ‘bleeds and leads’ tendency to push panic at every opportunity, I think it’s amazing that we’ve had as high of a vaccination rate now. Personally, I’m very Libertarian in my views to vaccination. You’ve been offered it, you turned it down, ok. I’m just saying in my experience, catching the real thing sucks bigtime, and the relative risks of the vaccine are fairly minor.

henrybowman in reply to georgfelis. | June 11, 2021 at 6:05 pm

Or, catching the real thing is a cakewalk. Was in my case, and I am obese, diabetic, and pushing 70. It all depends who you are. Meanwhile, the vaccine itself is wasting children, pregnant women, and arrogant middle-aged vaccine warrior-advocates. I’ll pass.

If you’re old, the risk of long term side effects is pretty low. I get my 2nd dose Monday. A risk management question.

I don’t think they’re lying, just don’t know. If you get the number of people an average infected person infects less than 1.0 though the disease dies out wherever it starts, which is what they want. Depends on no model at all, it’s just a way of counting. You can’t be wrong about it.

I avoid flu shots because they don’t seem to work as well as just avoiding crowded times in stores, and especially checkout lines with high school baggers.

henrybowman in reply to rhhardin. | June 11, 2021 at 6:07 pm

This is unintentionally funny. If you’re old, the risk of long term ANYTHING is pretty low.

I see websites touting “Everybody who gets the vaccine will be dead in two years!” Are they talking nonsense? Quite possibly, but then, so was Fauci, so I don’t care anymore.

I’m fairly positive that anybody who gets the vaccine will be dead in a hundred years. If at the end of a hundred years there are Covid vaccinated people still around, they’re welcome to come over and I’ll pay them. You may have to wait by the tombstone for a while, though.

Milwaukee in reply to rhhardin. | June 12, 2021 at 5:33 am

    “I don’t think they’re lying, just don’t know.”
But they are lying about not knowing. With full confidence they are pushing their hopes as fact.

Once again l’ll ask. What is the goal of 70% vaccination?

Before you answer. CDC has admitted over 80 million US people have had the virus.
Vaccinated at least one dose 173 million

Thats 253 million protected from the virus.

331 million in the United States. = 75% immunity.

As we have been witnessing for the last year and a half, the CDC is pushing some non-science goal.

All that want to be vaccinated are. So who exactly are we protecting from what?

    rhhardin in reply to iowan2. | June 11, 2021 at 6:14 pm

The public health interest is getting the reinfection rate lower than 1.0. If you’re vulnerable to infection then you increase that rate; if you’re not vulnerable to infection then you decrease it.

That is, it affects others whether you’re vulnerable to infection or not.

      iowan2 in reply to rhhardin. | June 11, 2021 at 9:18 pm

Is the goal to stop infection? If so why?

This is not a life threatening virus, unless you have one or more of the very will defined co-morbidities. The vulnerable have been vaccinated. Those not vaccinated are exercising their freedom.

Lucifer Morningstar in reply to rhhardin. | June 11, 2021 at 9:52 pm

I’ve read that the infection rate is already under 1.0 which means the covid isn’t spreading any longer and will eventually disappear or at least become a non-issue. So pushing for even more vaccinations is pointless.

CommoChief in reply to Lucifer Morningstar. | June 12, 2021 at 9:59 am

Well I wouldn’t go that far. Let’s keep to what we do know about the behavior of a generic virus.

        1. Seasonal, so up tick in fall
        2. Sunlight weakens/kills virus
        3. Mutation is usually into a less lethal version

So Rona transmission will drop in summer though people who stay indoors with AC and get a visit from someone shedding the Rona is vulnerable. The fall will be the true measure, IMO, of how far we have come on herd immunity. Whether acquired naturally via a case of Rona or via vaccination the combination likely has us approaching herd immunity now.

The troubling thing is the odd behavior of Rona in mutations to more lethal variant. A virus is an organism, organisms are driven to live, they can’t live by killing the host.

In any event, I have no issue with continuing PSA campaign for vaccination but coercion is inappropriate. Especially when, as yet, zero provision is made for naturally acquired immunity.

Personally, I won’t take the rna versions. J&J is hard to find but when available I will take that one. Hopefully it supplements the rather weak case of Rona I had.

    randian in reply to iowan2. | June 11, 2021 at 6:56 pm

The “conspiracy theory” version is that the vaccines have some undisclosed effect other than disease prevention that those pushing the vaccines want as much of the population as possible to be subject to.

CommoChief in reply to randian. | June 12, 2021 at 10:16 am

For me it isn’t that the genetic engineering of the vaccine and it’s permanent impact on the body’s immune system HAVE another malign purpose.

It is that we are doing something not undertaken before. Inserting a permanent change into the immune system via a deliberately inserted man made modification.

Having made that modification can anyone explain how that man made insertion is not vulnerable to future tinkering? Serious question. Does this make the
rna vaccinated population vulnerable to a biological weapon created to specifically target the engineered rna?

I am not suggesting it is fact. I am suggesting that no one has conclusively shown this isn’t possible. Nor as far as I am aware has this been even addressed.

When they didn’t immediately announce that if you were fully vaccinated all the mandates went away. To me this showed the ones in charge did how to motivate people to get vaccinated. Why go through the process once or twice, risk any, even if short term discomfort or worse, Why do it if there were no tangible benefit?
Then I heard at testimony that 50-69% of the federal staffers involved in this were vaccinated just a few weeks ago another red flag was raised to many.

“Infection fatality rates in spring 2020 — the height of the pandemic — were 0.06 percent in Santa Clara, California. They were also 0.06 percent in Los Angeles, 0.18 percent in Miami Dade County. In other words, by Fauci’s own definition, what we were experiencing was effectively a severe seasonal flu season, at the worst.”

Wanna bet the REAL numbers are much lower? Joseph Goebbels would be quite proud of what the blue state politicians and media have accomplished in his name.

Goebbels would indeed be proud as IMO the primary goal was to get rid of Trump and not public health. For example, Covid is obviously from the Chinese lab. Had the election been about who was better able to hold China accountable, Trump or Slo Jo with his and Hunter’s Chinese connections, I doubt Trump would have lost.
