Chuck Grassley to DOJ: Explain Discrepancy In Application Of Law For BLM/Antifa vs. Capitol Rioters

Chuck Grassley to DOJ: Explain Discrepancy In Application Of Law For BLM/Antifa vs. Capitol Rioters

“The law must be applied equally without regard to party, power or privilege. When the Department of Justice treats similar criminal acts differently, such conduct erodes faith in our governmental institutions and the law.”

https://youtu.be/F6kqiadrMVg

National Democrats, up to and including the Biden administration, want you to believe that our government is so fragile that a couple hundred unarmed trespassers in the Capitol Building on January 6th posed a very real threat to our Republic.

Let that sink in.  They expect us to believe that our government was—literally—on the verge of collapse during those few hours.  Keep in mind that not one of the hundreds arrested, many of whom are still being detained, was armed.

The one and only person who died violently, at someone else’s hand, at the Capitol on January 6th was an unarmed Air Force vet, Ashli Babbitt, who was fatally shot by an as-yet unnamed Capitol police officer.

If the DOJ charging documents about the Capitol events tell us anything, they tell us, loudly and clearly, that there was no coordination except by a handful of the most inept “insurrectionists” in the history of insurrection.  Some fat old guy was reportedly napping across the river beside a cache of arms, ready to bring them in to the four people who knew about him . . . if they managed to rouse him from his peaceful slumber on their walkie-talkies.

This is the violent overthrow of our government that we are supposed to believe—despite a multi-million dollar budget slathered on America’s federal law enforcement—we were within seconds of seeing manifest?  A handful of unarmed nutters with walkie talkies were just too much for our government to withstand, too much for DHS, for the FBI, for the Capitol and DC police to handle?  We came this close to “losing our democracy” . . . to a handful of unarmed overzealous fantasists?  Really?

Of course no one believes that.  Not national Democrats, not the majority of their media mouthpieces, and certainly not anyone affiliated with, much less leading, America’s alphabet federal law enforcement agencies.

The latest leftist lie that the events at the Capitol on January 6th are the “worst act of political violence since the Civil War” is beyond laughable and aimed at the stupid, gullible, and uninformed (i.e. Democrat voters).  This historically-inaccurate hyperbolic nonsense is being peddled by everyone on the left from Joe Biden right down to the dregs of propagandist “journalism.”

The Democrats need to have a Reichstag moment in order to facilitate their shutting down of any and all dissent.  They need the events at the Capitol to be a crisis, and they need that crisis in order to justify expansive federal surveillance and persecution of their political “enemies” among the American people.

That “coup” and “insurrection” were just the ticket.  After all, who needs an actual crisis to declare a war on “domestic terror”?  Not the Dems because they have the media and Big Tech protecting this ludicrous lie that America was about to be undone by a ragtag bunch of selfie-takers.

Federal law enforcement don’t really care if the stinky commie hippies are the “enemy” or if normal Americans are.  Agency goals include, always, expanding power and control.  If that creeps into monitoring, surveilling, and ultimately persecuting normal Americans, that’s a win.

Our  federal government is currently waging a “war on domestic terror,” a “war”against non-woke American citizens who reject the racist, communist left’s divisive and destructive agenda.  That the events on January 6th were an historically minor incident that is dwarfed by (as but one example) Obama associate Bill Ayers’ Weather Underground setting off a bomb on the U.S. Senate side of the Capitol Building is beside the point.

Yet under the premise that a bunch of random, unconnected, unarmed people could actually topple our government, the FBI beclowned itself raiding an Alaska couple whom they well knew had never even entered the Capitol building, and the federal government is holding people for months on end who are guilty of, at most, trespassing.  Indeed, at least one man held in connection to the Capitol events was allegedly beaten so severely by jail guards that he is permanently blinded in one eye.

This is police state intimidation, it’s totalitarian political oppression, it’s banana republic political prisoner nonsense that is an absolute embarrassment and disgrace not just to the DOJ and FBI but to our entire country.

Meanwhile, BLM and antifa vandals, rioters, arsonists, and assailants are arrested and returned to the streets in record time.  Among the many people pushing bail funds for these violent criminals was then-senator and now VP Kamala Harris.

BLM and antifa criminals can literally commit arson, vandalism, assault, be filmed doing it, and be released the same day to continue their illegal activities.  Meanwhile, people who wandered into the Capitol on January 6th to take a few selfies, and who didn’t set fire to or vandalize a single thing (or set up some crazy ‘autonomous zone’ that explicitly rejects U.S. government and law) are being held, beaten, permanently disfigured, and charged to the fullest extent of the law.

This disparate, blatantly unequal treatment of the Capitol Hill trespassers who are being persecuted not for actual crimes but for political purposes versus the criminal burning, looting, and murder by BLM and antifa throughout last summer (and continuing in Democrat-run cities to this day) is an outrage.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is demanding an explanation from the DOJ about this unequal application of the law.

Sharyl Attkisson reports:

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is asking the U.S. Justice Department to explain the differences between the prosecutions of rioters at violent and destructive riots over the summer and fall of 2020 and the January 6th Capitol rioters.

The letter questions whether the law has been applied equally to the people who participated in riots during the summer and fall of 2020 and the people who were present at the Capitol on January 6th.

“The law must be applied equally without regard to party, power or privilege. When the Department of Justice treats similar criminal acts differently, such conduct erodes faith in our governmental institutions and the law.”

Grassley asks about the numbers of people arrested, charged, released on bail, and fully prosecuted during the summer 2020 Portland, Oregon riots that involved a months’ long violent seize of a federal courthouse compared to the same data for the January 6th riot.

Fuck off Grassley, you little RINO puke.

You did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when you were chair of the Judiciary and the FISA court was violating the law left and right. You let the Democrats make an absolute mockery of the process for Kavanaugh and entertained the utterly laughable bullshit spectacle to continue for WEEKS because you were so goddamn weak.

Now that you’re safely in the minority again you want to try and act tough.

Get fucking bent.

    Fact check: True.

    It’s nice he said something.

But it’ll be nicer when we dump the likes of this useless hack and replace them with Trumps, or MTGs and the like.

Sen. Grassley is still around? I haven’t heard his name in several years.

Yes, He’s the other half of the Grassley-Issa “make a lot of noise and then do nothing” Action Team.
(Fast and Furious victims get 10% off on all future speeches!)

That’s right. This mealy-mouthed shitbag is trying to save face so the sheeple will bleat “Well, at least someone said SOMETHING!”

He says, “When the Department of Justice treats similar criminal acts differently, such conduct erodes faith in our governmental institutions and the law.”

That ship has sailed, and one of two things will happen now: More independent journos will join the dissent and overpower the noise of the Democratic Party’s Propaganda Wing (corporate media) and the event will slide down the Memory Hole, or, most likely, those already fucked over by the Fascists on the Hill will get it worse and the Constitution (now meaningless document that it is) will be mocked even further as the surveillance state grows even larger (if that’s even possible at this stage).

The DOJ needs to investigate both Joe Biden and his son. They both are on the Chinese payroll. This explains why Biden is shielding the Chinese from responsibility for the Chinese Virus.

That’s as far as it will go, though. Just talk. So, he might as well have kept his mouth shut.

If the DONJ does respond it will only be to stonewall and no substantive answer will be forthcoming. Why are those who are still jailed not filing habeas corpus writs? This is Legal Insurrection, after all, so why no analysis as to whether the lawyers of these incarcerated trespassers are competent?

DOJ quaking in their boots as they unleash 20 investigators armed with novel theories of illegality and the intelligence community armed with unlimited power to collect information and slime and make up salacious accusations from protected classified sources on his entire life.

No need. He is an ancient Establishment RINO. Just blowing his horn. Ignore him.
We need a little less talk and a lot more action. Not coming from the GOP..

Grassley moved his bowels this morning. It must have got him motivated.

Let me help old Chuck out. One is R and one is D. I’ll explain farther. We have a two tier justice system in the USA. I hope Chuck can understand my words. I can’t make it any more clear for the old guy.

Ben Kent in reply to r2468. | June 8, 2021 at 10:05 pm

Yes. It’s obvious. My 10th grader figured it out. Why can’t Grassley.

Real question – what are you gonna do about it ?

DOJ / FBI get a good little private laugh when the impotent Rs express their outrage.

Any lawyers, please answer, if you can..The Speedy Trial Act of 1974 requires, by my reading, that the trial of an accused must begin within 70 days of the charges being applied. Is this law in effect?

DOJ to Grassley: We decline to explain it, and you can’t make us, so there. This is how we do business, and we’re going to continue doing it that way. Our people get a pass, your people better make sure they obey every law in existence or we’ll get them.

Dearest Fuzzy, please, for the love of God, tell us how you really feel!

Police all over the country in blue cities have consistently stood aloof from the violence being perpetrated before their very eyes, to the consternation and outrage of honest citizens, invoking the “I was only following orders” cowardice.

The Declaration states that, “but when a long train of abuses and usurpations…”

The long train of which the declaration refers occurred over decades, from the early to the late 1700’s. The race war, the class war, the border war, the tax war and the gender war have yet to reach the bloody war the left is fomenting. I understand each lefty atrocity is a stop in that long train, but we must all be patient until such time as the left leaves American patriots with nothing left to lose. That was the moment when Americans pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. May God help us all.

I intend to fight well before the point where the communists have left me and my family with nothing more to lose, and I strongly suggest others do the same.

The same reason Hillary wasn’t prosecuted. It’s not hard to understand

We have a two tier justice system, those who are Leftists and those who are not.

And it’s only going to get worse.

Does anyone else cringe every time a Dem Politician says this ?
They only seem to say it when talking about a Republican.

We all know that high ranking Dems; Dem donors; Dem mob (BLM / Antifa) and illegal immigrants ARE above the law in the eyes of all Dems.

When will little HUNTER get his pardon ?

Milhouse in reply to Ben Kent. | June 8, 2021 at 11:02 pm

He won’t. DOJ won’t prosecute him, and by 2025 the statute will probably have run.

Ben Kent in reply to Milhouse. | June 8, 2021 at 11:21 pm

          YES, HE WILL PARDON HUNTER

Because Dems cannot risk him being a loose-end if R’s take back Congress because HUNTER could open a can of worms. Hunter is a huge potential liability.
          > > If Hunter were to sing – the whole Dem Party might be shaken to its core. He could expose huge corruption and he could name names. If he wrote a tell-all book – it would sell millions of copies and make him a bundle of $$.

And the pardon WILL happen because Hunter does not want to be in limbo and potentially left to the wolfs. He needs Daddy to do it. He cannot rely upon Harris – if his Dad dies. Harris owes him nothing and surely has no respect for him.

Yep. If you really think about it – Biden must Pardon Hunter. And he better do it soon – before he either dies or the Rs take Congress. Or before the Ukraine mafia or Kazaks get to HUNTER to silence him. He knows too much.

Of course the pardon will be done in a way that makes Dems look non-partisan. Biden will pardon a few Rs and will claim its all in the interest of Unity. He will claim that R’s persecuted his son and that therefore Hunter deserves a pardon. The media will push whatever narrative the Dems want. It will be the most corrupt pardon in history – but it will be spun as justified. Mark my words. I’m frankly surprised Biden has not done it already.

Ben seems to be stuck on ‘Pardon!’

It won’t happen. A pardon will be seen as an admission that Hunter did something wrong (because the Dems have been howling like banshees about the Trump pardons, and they can’t backtrack that fast) Plus adding to Milhouse, there will be no prosecution, no investigation, no reporters poking about for stories, no curiosity in regards to anybody who might find something, and it will all fade into “Old news, nothing there, obvious racist insurrectionist right-wing propaganda, shut up or we’ll prosecute you.”

Ben Kent in reply to Milhouse. | June 9, 2021 at 9:16 am

TO THOSE WHO SAY – NO PARDON WILL HAPPEN

Some say Hunter is protected – so the media will not investigate. But, just remember that Fauci was protected until 2 weeks ago. Now he is being investigated by all media. It is naive to think Hunter will no extort his Dad for a Pardon. A Pardon is his “Get-Out-Of-Jail-FREE” card. If he does not get it he is exposed.

Imagine if you committed crimes and the evidence (laptop) was out there for everyone to see. BUT you Dad has the ability to make it all go away. You would be pushing your Day everyday for a Pardon.

Now imagine you’re the Dad. You can save your kid by the stroke of a pen with no consequences (because you will never again run for office). Are you going to tell your son no? Of course not.

People who say a Pardon will not happen because it is like an admission of guilt are missing the point. 90% of people already think HUNTER is guilty. People on the left and the right.

Plus Biden will package it as an act of UNITY. Along with his son – he will pardon a few Republicans – maybe all the Jan 6 rioters. He will call them all victims of TRUMP and thereby blame it all on Trump. He will talk about how his poor son Hunter was a victim of Trump who went after him because he could not succeed against the elder Biden. Joe will be seen as “the bigger man” graciously Pardoning people to bury the political hatchet. (Although it’s really just a smoke-screen for protecting himself and the DNC from a huge liability).

Main Stream Media will push the narrative. People will go from feel HUNTER is a criminal to feeling sorry for him.

This is all so obvious to anyone who closely follows the current politics.

UserP in reply to Milhouse. | June 9, 2021 at 10:08 am

If you are assuming he won’t commit any more crimes between now and then you are wrong.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to Milhouse. | June 9, 2021 at 10:30 am

I predict in 2028, Hunter will be the Democrat nominee for president.

          Pepsi_Freak in reply to Milhouse. | June 9, 2021 at 10:30 am

There’s no limit to the number of pardons a President can give to one person, so even if he pardons Hunter now and Hunter continues on in his usual mode, Daddy can pardon him again for any new crimes.

Blackgriffin in reply to Ben Kent. | June 10, 2021 at 1:21 pm

He won’t need one, because he’ll never be charged with anything.

So I’m sure this will be totally ignored, because shut up.

Ignored entirely? Maybe. Though if 2022 shifts the HoR back to r control, which is increasingly likely, then if I were at DoJ I wouldn’t want to completely ignore questions.

House r can then easily ask the Senator’s questions and hold their budget up. As could Grassley now via filibuster if he had the stones….though I don’t think he does.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to CommoChief. | June 8, 2021 at 11:13 pm

What if Grassley once spoke to a Russian, for God’s sake! He could be a spy. He is certainly doing Putin’s bidding. I mean, these are serious questions that must be completely investigated along with any other illegality or impropriety we may find concerning him, his family, and supporters on the way to confirming he is not, in fact, a Russian spy!

I think you may have forgotten what country you live in.

What if Grassley once spoke to a Russian, for God’s sake! He could be a spy for Gods sake!

      geroni,

Well sure if r primary voters fail to select the most conservative candidate that can prevail in that district’s general election.

In other words only if we allow them to do so by failing to hold them accountable when they refuse to measure up. The squishy r won’t have an incentive to toe the line until they are made to do so or lose a primary.

I like the fact that he’s openly asking for information.

Glenn Jordan | June 8, 2021 at 11:13 pm

Grassley and the mainstream GOP well in the back of this parade. This information has been exposed for months now. What’s it matter if some guy arrested for nothing more serious than trespassing is getting stomped on by his prison guard. It’s been a Reichstag Fire all along. It shouldn’t take 6 months for the GOP pols to step up.

You said in the article:
“Our federal government is currently waging a “war on domestic terror,” a “war”against non-woke American citizens who reject the racist, communist left’s divisive and destructive agenda.”

I would slightly change it to read:
Our federal government is currently waging “domestic terror” against non-woke American citizens who reject the racist, communist left’s divisive and destructive agenda and who will not willingly conform to Marxist whims of the Democrat party and the Swamp (yes, the Democrat party is a subset of the Swamp but there is also the John McCain/Mitt Romney wing of the Woke Republican regime in the Swamp as well. Grassley’s letter is likely a push pin being thrown at the target, not meant to cause any damage but to give the appearance of fairness. Just watch over the next few months as the Democrats seek to portray Manchin and possibly Sinema as treasonous traitors to the aims of the American Marxist Revolution.
Obama said that his goal was to remake the Constitution as a living, breathing document reflective of today’s society. He really didn’t want to remake it, he wanted to “fundamentally change” America. He just didn’t tell us that he wanted to make changes that make Bernie Sanders’ policies look like far-right policy.
The media has more than adequately swayed masses of Americans into believing that the Democrat party is for the little man and that everything President Trump touched turned to rot. Once again, they reversed things. What has happened to black unemployment? What has happened to middle class “wealth”? What has happened to job creation in the United States (and I’m not talking about just putting some people back to work who lost their jobs to the pandemic lockdowns or counting unemployment benefits paid by the government as “jobs)?
Asleep at the wheel? Most Americans don’t take the time to do actual research on Democrat policies. They trust CNN and MSNBC to do “journalism”. All you need to do is watch the news when they talk about President Trump or any Republican resistance. The same buzzwords appear of CNN, MSNBC and the alphabet media. The DNC obviously sends each of them buzzwords of the day to be screeched out repeatedly about anything non-woke, non-progressive and non-American. Wake up woke people before it is too late. Research Venezuela. That’s where Kamala really wanted to go. To be with “her” people!

Can you spell Jon Corzine l

This could have been a decent article, but Fuzzy Slippers insisted on calling the US military personnel, veterans and law enforcement personnel who went in the capitol to protest the corrupted election that put Joe Biden in the White House “nutters.” Then the commenters went off on a tangent slamming Senator Grassley, who has actually been very active over the past decade or so calling out leftwingers. People called him RINOS who don’t know the meaning of the word and are RINO themselves. Surely we can do better than calling our own people names!!!

Fuzzy Slippers has a record of being a somewhat limp wristed conservative here on LI.

CommoChief in reply to mailman. | June 9, 2021 at 12:14 pm

Maybe ‘limp wristed’ is too harsh. Fuzzy is finally realizing that the substance of the policies is the important part, while the form of the presentation or the not universally embraced presentation style of the messenger is less important

In other words, she seems to have moved beyond ‘pearl clutching’ and realizes that we are in a knife fight. We may not all want to be in one but when in a knife fight winning is the goal not adherence to rules of decorum selectively enforced by the opponent.

If you mean amongst reader/commenters, I would have to agree that I am not as far-right as many of our fabulous readers on some issues (and further right than most on others). If you mean amongst LI authors/contributors . . . bwahaha! No way can you imagine that is the case!

    CommoChief in reply to SamC130. | June 9, 2021 at 12:29 pm

    Sam,

If by nutters we mean anyone who believed then or now that the presence of protesters would or could have any effect on whether Biden would become President then I agree with that.

The ONLY way the ultimate result could have been different is for State legislature to refuse or overrule certification and send an alternative slate of electors.

Even then that simply provides an opportunity to accept or reject the alternate electors. Perhaps both slates from States sending alternative slates could have been rejected. That might have pushed the issue to the HoR.

The bottom line is that, given the circumstances of no competing slates of electors, there wasn’t any thing to make a choice about. Blame the State legislatures in several ‘contested’ States for their failure to act.

Neither the VP nor the Senate had any alternative under our Constitution under those circumstances. None. No amount of wish casting or oddball theories changes that.

So yeah, if they thought there was going to be a way to ‘install’ DJT v Biden as President…. they were nutters.

    @samC130

I assume Fuzzy was referring to those who decided to breach the Capitol building as opposed to protesting outside. It’s pretty clear that those who entered the building weren’t the sharpest tools in the box.

      henrybowman in reply to mark311. | June 10, 2021 at 1:02 am

In many cases, the “breach” consisted of a Capitol Police officer removing a barricade, and shooshing groups of senior citizens into the open door with a Vanna White Wave.

        mark311 in reply to henrybowman. | June 10, 2021 at 6:54 am

The videos I watched were clearly different from the ones you watched. I didn’t see many senior citizens at all,

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to mark311. | June 10, 2021 at 2:18 pm

There were a number of such videos. My take is that after some point it became clear that keeping people out was a losing battle and security thought is was safer to just allow people in. So they opened the doors and stood back, and displayed no animosity towards the people entering. It is hard, therefore, to charge these people with trespassing if all they did was walk through an already open door with welcoming security standing by.

The matter of people who violently and/or destructively breached is a different matter, and as you are well aware, there is also plenty of video showing all that activity as well, and there were numerous people so involved.

But I would have a hard time with prosecuting people for entering the capitol because they went there to protest and upon arrival, the facility already having been breeched, found the doors open and the guards smiling and saying hello, and so they just wandered in and committed no subsequent act of destruction or vandalism, etc., or later tried to force their way into a secured area within the building. My understanding is the doors were open for several hours after the initial forced breech until the facility was re-secured during which a great number of people freely wandered in and out.

Also, my take is the average person in attendance was in their 40’s or older. Perhaps not wandering around with a walker, but certainly past their physical prime. No Marine Corps recruiter was bothering them to sign up. I thing the AARP starts sending people solicitations to join at age 50. I think Denny’s will also give you a Senior discount at age 50. So it’s rather definitional to be sure, but no, rather no to very few older people in wheel chairs and walkers, or carrying around oxygen bottles, and no old men beating security guards with their canes.

Partly so. I actually meant the handful of nutters who acted like they were playing bit parts in a cartoon coop. I don’t think the people who wandered into the Capitol that day to take selfies used the best judgement, but at the same time, these were just random people mulling around the Capitol taking selfies. They weren’t some organized insurrection determined to topple the government of the United States of America. The whole idea is preposterous.

Thanks @CommoChief and @mark311! @SamC130, you wrote: “This could have been a decent article, but Fuzzy Slippers insisted on calling the US military personnel, veterans and law enforcement personnel who went in the capitol to protest the corrupted election that put Joe Biden in the White House “nutters.””

Thanks for the almost compliment on my almost decent article. 😛 Honestly, though, the only people I called “nutters” regarding the events of January 6th were the reported handful of “organized” “insurrectionists” who, according to DOJ reports, were communicating with one another via walkie-talkie in the most bizarre, inept, Keystone Cops version of a “revolution.” There were reportedly like four or five them cosplaying a “coup,” replete with a doddering old dude napping near a cache of firearms across the river.

Sorry, but I don’t care if you are a vet, currently enlisted in any military branch, or a current or retired cop, if you were one of those people who are alleged to have been “positioning” around and in–even preparing to “take” the Capitol, you were a freaking nutter.

I thought I was clear about the distinction I see amongst the various pro-Trump/pro-America protestors vs. delusional nutters: There were those who went to President Trump’s rally and were content to drift off to dinner or sight-see afterwards, those who did choose to march in peaceful protest on the Capitol (as have countless other–usually leftist protester groups–for almost a century), those who ambled into the Capitol and took selfies, and finally, separately and distinctly, those few nutters who were . . . . oh, who even knows? They were nutters.

No rational American thought, by Jan. 6th, that the election would be overturned. It was over, it was done, and we have to deal with actual reality, not crazy fantasies about . . . again, who the hell knows what these few people thought? With a couple of hundred people in the Capitol building, most just taking selfies and posting them to social media, and only a handful of “in the know” self-appointed “operators,” what did they think was going to happen? They were somehow going to keep Trump in office? How, exactly? They were unarmed and supremely inept, even if they managed to get their hands on a few Dem or the dreaded uni-party RINO Congresscritters, then what? They kill them? They hold them hostage until Trump is inaugurated . . . erm, somehow? And then what?

Peacefully protesting a corrupted election–one that I firmly believe Trump won–is one thing, a patriotic and admirable thing; crouching around the Capitol building “coordinating” with your four whole unarmed “team” on walkie talkies and via Twitter and Facebook to keep Trump in office? Nuts.

Maybe I have the dates wrong, but I understood that 1/6 was the day that TPTB were voting to accept or not accept the electors from various states. There was a lot of noise from “stop the steal” activists about mounting a massive demonstration to put steel in the spines of various Republicans to reject elector slates (or accept alternate elector slates) from disputed states. I won’t say how much better or worse it was actually organized than just that hope, but I understood that was the goal. And since the effect of the demonstration was to scatter the relevant committee’s players like rats, it failed regardless.

“…a corrupted election–one that I firmly believe Trump won…”

Thank you for clearing that up Fuzzy. It’s comforting to know that some of the authors at LI are not on board with the Post-Trump Era idiocy.

Despite the dominoes falling already, almost none of the “conservative” media is paying any attention and so they won’t report it. Trump is THE only game in town and that will be made crystal clear very soon.

It’s interesting to me that McConnell, Grassley, Grahamnesty, Obama and their ilk are suddenly speaking out just as Trump is re-emerging. Just today when asked about Trump, McConnell dismissed the question with “Trump has his own agenda”. It’s already shaping up to be Trump against the Uniparty. And Trump is more powerful today than he was last November.

Post-Trump Era? Only to the criminally stupid desperately wishing for that to be true. Trump is the ONLY ONE our side.

I’ve been pretty clear on this point all along, Phil. I firmly and will always believe Trump won the 2020 presidential election.

What I do not believe is that there is any recourse. It was stolen, and with the complicity of some GOP, and we all know it. It cannot be undone; it’s done. Biden is the . . . by the way, ever notice how I have never referred to Biden as “president” in any of my posts, ever? He’s there, in that office, diminishing it by the day, but he didn’t win it.

As to Trump, he needs to accept he lost a rigged election and move on. Sore losers, even sore losers who were robbed, get old FAST. There is literally nothing to be gained by his clinging to his butt-hurt over 2020 (it will not be undone, Trump will not be president again unless and until he wins that office in 2024). It’s over. Done. Over. And done.

No one loves a whiner, even a justified whiner. It gets old and tired, and it fast becomes a massive turn-off. Deal with the now, the future. Yes, he was robbed, but only losers focus on the robbery, on the past; winners focus on the now and on the future.

The Democrats normalized rioting by their client groups back in the Silly ‘Sixties and Sillier ‘Seventies. Now that we have a government taken over by silly people, it might be a good thing that a few hundred sensible, unarmed people calling the 2020 election fishy might be able to bring it down. Now that the Jacka$$ party’s response is to try to suppress dissent, the pushback should be louder and more frequent.

“The law must be applied equally without regard to party, power or privilege. When the Department of Justice treats similar criminal acts differently, such conduct erodes faith in our governmental institutions and the law.”

Something about a barn door, horses and a lock comes to mind.
